        대용량 위성영상 지형 데이타의 스트리밍 서비스를 위한 효율적인 렌더링 모듈

        위성영상 촬영 기법의 발전과 인터넷 인프라의 확충으로 인해 이를 활용하는 다양한 서비스가 이루어지고 있지만, 대부분 저해상도의 위성영상과 수치고도모형 데이타를 기반하고 있다. 본 논문은 고해상도의 위성영상 데이타를 웹 환경에서 효율적인 스트리밍 서비스가 가능하도록 원시데이타를 가공하는 모듈과 이를 전송하고 렌더링하는 모듈을 구현하였다. 실제 북한산 일대의 위성사진 데이타를 대상으로 논문에서 제안된 기법을 활용하였으며, 넓은 외부지형을 실시간 처리할 때 발생하는 그래픽 문제를 효율적으로 해결하고 있음을 보인다. Various services are developed from advancement of satellite imagery methodologies and internet infrastructure expansions. However, most of these services still rely upon low-resolution satellite images combined with DEM models. In this paper, we have implemented the raw data processing modules and other modules that transfer and render high-spatial resolution satellite images for efficient streaming services in web environments. By utilizing the Bukhan-mountain data as a pilot study, the paper has proposed the efficient approach to solve graphical problems in real time processing the large geographical area.

        User Interface Design of the Control Panel of Kimchi Refrigerator for the Older Women

        To evaluate the usability of a Kimchi refrigerator, we performed an evaluation test that consisted of an experiment and a post-hoc questionnaire survey. In this study, we focused on the older women who have less physical and cognitive ability than younger women. In physical usability, there was no significant difference between the older and the younger subject group. However, there was some significant statistical difference in the results of cognitive usability test. When the subjects debriefed their operations after finishing the experiment, the all subjects in the older group reported the difficulties in identifying the labels and icons in the control panel and in understanding operation sequences. Also, they couldn't learn and remember the operation procedures well. Based on the analysis of the video protocols, some causes of the problems were found and then several improvement ideas were suggested.

        물리적 사용자 인터페이스 측면에서 김치냉장고의 사용자 만족도 조사

        Kimchi refrigerator is a specific refrigerator for Kimchi, Korean traditional fermented food. It has been fast popularized since it was developed about ten years ago. In this study, a survey was conducted with 103 female voluntary respondents to understand the customer satisfaction of the Kimchi refrigerator in the aspect of physical use. The respondents showed a high satisfaction for the use of refrigerators. It was, however, shown that they felt highly uncomfortable in using the refrigerator. In particular, the high discomfort was related to the fact that the customer should bend her torso very much to put Kimchi containers into the refrigerator, take them out of it, or clean its inside. Seventy-five percent of the respondents reported the experience of body-part pains and 58.4% of them reported pain experience in the back. It is presumed that these results are highly correlated to the top-cover design of the refrigerator, which is the most popular type to improve its performance of maintaining proper temperature. Therefore, the developers should consider these usability problems related to the refrigerator and try to enhance its usability by adopting ergonomics in the design stage.

        우분의 가용화에 대한 마이크로웨이브의 적용성 및 화학적 촉매의 첨가에 따른 효과

        마이크로웨이브(MW)는 유전가열에 의한 열적, 비열적 그리고 이온성 전도 효과를 가지며 높은 에너지 효율을 보이므로 유기성 폐기물의 가용화에 대해 효과적인 방법이다. 본 연구는 고형물 함량이 높은 우분을 대상으로 MW를 이용하여 가용화 최적 조건을 도출하고 이를 토대로 MW의 유전가열 특성을 향상시키기 위해 화학적 촉매물질인 H2SO4과 NaCl을 첨가하여 우분의 가용화율과 가용화 방법에 따른 biochemical methane potential (BMP)을 평가하였다. 우분 고형물 농도 12%와 MW 출력 800 W 및 설정온도 40℃ 조건에서 70.5 mg SCODincreased/kJ로 에너지 대비 최대 가용화율을 보여주었으며, 이때의 SCOD 농도는 원시료 대비 53.2% 증가하였다. 가용화 최적 조건에서 화학적 촉매로 H2SO4를 주입하였을 경우 MW 단독 처리 대비 SCOD 농도는 36% 증가하였으며, NaCl을 주입하였을 경우 22.7% 증가하였다. BMP test에서도 우분 원시료 대비 MW를 이용한 가용화는 메탄 생성량이 6.7%, H2SO4를 주입한 MW 가용화는 13.3%, NaCl을 주입한 MW 가용화는 11.3% 증가하였다. 따라서 마이크로웨이브는 우분의 가용화 전처리에 효율적인 수단이며, 마이크로웨이브의 가용화 효율을 높이기 위해서는 화학적 촉매를 이용할 필요가 있다. Microwave (MW) is an effective method for solubilizing organic solids because it has thermal, non-thermal and ionic conduction effects by dielectric heating and high energy efficiency. In this study, we evaluated the application of MW to the solubilization of cattle manure and investigated the solubilization ratio of cattle manure by solid concentration, MW power and target temperature. And H2SO4 and NaCl were added to investigated the effects on the MW-assisted solubilization. Also, we evaluated the solubilization efficiency by biochemical methane potential(BMP) test according to the solubilization conditions. Maximum SCOD increment per energy supply was 70.5 mg SCODincreased/kJ at 12% of the solid concentration, MW power of 800 W and the target temperature of 40℃. And SCOD concentration went up 153.2% compared to the initial concentration. In the MW-assisted solubilization with H2SO4 and NaCl as chemical catalysts, SCOD concentration was increased by 36% and 22.7%, respectively, compared to the result of MW. The methane production was increased by 13.3% and 11.3% with the addition of H2SO4 and NaCl. Therefore, MW is an effective method for solubilization of cattle manure, and it is necessary to use chemical catalysts to increase the solubilzation efficiency.

        이온선택성 미소전극을 이용한 질산화 생물막내의 질소 이온의 농도 모니터링

        An ion selective microelectrode (ISME) was fabricated to measure concentrations of ammonium (NH4+-N) and nitrate (NO3--N) according to the depth of nitrifying biofilm. The limits of detectability and validity of results were investigated to evaluate the ISME. The electromotive force (EMF) was directly proportional to the ion concentration, and average detection limits of NH4+ and NO3- ISME were 10<SUP>-5.14</SUP> and 10<SUP>-5.18</SUP> M, respectively. The concentrations of NH4+-N and NO3--N in various depths on the nitrifying biofilm were measured by the ISME. When a modified Ludzack-Ettinger (MLE) process was operated at an HRT of 6 h, concentration gradients of NH4+-N in the bulk solution and biofilm at depths of 100 μm decreased by 70 μM, while NO3--N increased by 101 μM and remained constant thereafter. At an HRT of 4 h, concentration gradients of NH4+-N at depths of 500 μm decreased by 160 μM and NO3--N increased by 162 μM and remained constant thereafter. As HRT decreased, the concentration gradients of NH4+-N and NO3--N between bulk solution and biofilm was higher due to the increase of nitrogen load. Also, the concentration gradients of the NH4+-N and NO3--N of biofilm in the second aerobic tank were lower than those of the first aerobic tank, suggesting differences of nitrogen load and concentrations of DO between the first and second aerobic tank.
