'다청'은 답리작 적응 추위 및 도복에 강한 다수성 청보리 품종육성을 목표로 2002년 추위 및 도복에 강한 '선우'를 모본으로, 키가 크고 숙기가 빠른 '큰알보리1호'를 부본으로 인공교배하여 육성 선발된 '익산479호'로 전국 6개소에서 2013년부터 2015년까지 지역적응시험을 거쳐 2015년에 육성되었다. '다청'은 직립 초형으로 파성은 IV정도이고, 잎은 녹색이며, 하부잎 엽초의 털이 있다. 초장은 99cm이고, $m^2$당 경수는 625개로 표준품종인 '영양'보다 적었으며, 엽신 비율이 18.7%, 이삭비율은 52.2%로 높다. 답리작에서 출수기는 4월 24일로 '영양'과 같았으며, 황숙기는 5월 26일로 영양과 같았다. 내한성은 '영양'보다 강하였으며, 흰가루병에는 감수성을 보였지만, 보리호위축병에 저항성을 나타냈다. 건물수량은 전작에서 12.8톤/ha '영양'보다 5% 증수하였으며, 답리작에서 11.9톤/ha으로 '영양'보다 10%로 증수하였다. 조사료 품질은 조단백질 함량이 9.0%로 '영양'에 비해 낮았으며, ADF는 31.3%, NDF는 54.4%로 '영양'보다 높았으며 TDN이 64.0%로 '영양'보다 다소 낮았으나, TDN수량은 영양보다 높고, 사일리지 등급도 I 등급으로 영양보다 높았다.
삼차망을 가진 담근먹이용 청보리(Hordeum vulgare L.) 신품종 '유진'

A barley(Hordeum vulgare L.) cultivar 'Youjin' with hooded spike type having good silage quality was developed at National Institute of Crop Science, RDA in 2016. 'Youjin' showed both high yielding and cold resistance through the preliminary and advanced yield trials(PYT, AYT) from 2012 to 2013. We conducted regional yield trials(RYT) of 'Youjin' in six locations around Korea for three years from 2014 to 2016. It had erect plant type, growth habit of II, the green leaf and hooded awn type. In the paddy field its heading date was April 24 and the maturing date was May 25. Plant height was 99 cm and the number of spikes per ㎡ was 696. It has high rate of leaf blades, resistance to BaYMV(Barley Yellow Mosiac Virus) and good winter hardiness. The average dry matter of Youjin was about 17.2 MT ha<sup>-1</sup> in the field. And feed quality of 'Youjin' was 10.6% of crude protein content, 24.8% of ADF(Acid Detergent Fiber), 43.5 % of NDF(Neutral Detergent Fiber), 69.1% of TDN(Total Digestible Nutrients). And also 'Youjin' had grade I of silage quality.
가축 기호성이 좋은 반매끈망을 가진 청보리 신품종 '미한'

A new barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) cultivar 'Mihan' having ruminant-palatable semi-smooth awn and good silage quality was developed at National Institute of Crop Science(NICS), RDA in 2016. This cultivar was derived from a cross of the 'SB00T2064' and 'Suwon385' in 2001. And its promising line showed high yielding through the preliminary yield trials(PYT) and advanced yield trials (AYT) in Iksan from 2012 to 2013. It was designated as the 'Iksan487'. 'Iksan487' was conducted to regional yield trials (RYT) in one upland field and five paddy fields around Korea for three years from 2014 to 2016. And it was released as the name of 'Mihan'. It has growth habit of IV, erect plant type, green leaf and semi-smooth awn. Its heading date was April 23 in the paddy field and maturing date was May 24. Plant height of 'Mihan' was 96cm. Mihan's spikes per $m^2$ was 665. It has better winter hardiness and resistance to BaYMV (Barley Yellow Mosaic Virus) than that of barley cultivar 'Youngyang'. The average dry matter of 'Mihan' was about $10.9ton\;ha^{-1}$ in paddy field. And average feed quality of 'Mihan' was 10.3% of crude protein content, 26.1% of ADF (Acid Detergent Fiber), 46.9 % of NDF (Neutral Detergent Fiber) and 68.2% of TDN (Total Digestible Nutrients). 'Mihan' had grade I of silage quality. This cultivar would be suitable for the area above the daily minimum average temperature of $-8^{\circ}C$ in January in Korean peninsula.
호남지역 수확시기에 따른 밀 곡실 발효사료의 사료가치 및 발효품질

This study aimed to determine the optimal harvesting time for wheat to make grain silage, in Honam region of Korea. We harvested wheat grain every third day from 30 to 42 days after heading (DAH). The moisture content decreased from 61.6% at 30 DAH to 42.8% at 42 DAH. Yield of wheat grain significantly increased from 30 to 42 DAH (p< 0.05). Yield at 39 DAH (3.46T/ha) was not significantly different from that at 42 DAH (p< 0.05). With respect to the feed value of wheat grain silage, the amount of crude protein, crude fiber, and crude ash was different by harvesting time (p< 0.05). However, the amount of total digestible nutrients (TDN) from 30 and 42 DAH was not significantly different. The pH of wheat grain silage from 30 to 42 DAH was between 3.8 and 4.5 and it was stable until 39 DAH (p< 0.05). The lactic acid content of wheat grain silage from 30 to 42 DAH decreased from 3.08% to 1.10%. With respect to moisture content, yield, feed value, and fermentation, the optimal harvesting time for wheat grain silage was 39 DAH.

Flow control range of valve, which is installed on pipeline, varies according to valve type, pipe diameter, pipe length, roughness, and elevation difference of both ends of pipeline. A lot of computation efforts and knowledge are needed to estimate flow control range of valve, considering above many parameters. The table of flow control range of each valve type is presented for convenience of pipeline design engineers who must make decision of valve size and type in this study. Also the reason that butterfly valve is recommended for flow control, and gate valve is forbidden is presented via quantification and figures in this study.

Linear curve or hyperbolic curve interpolation equations have been used to represent loss coefficient of butterfly valve according to a certain opening(for example, each 10 degree up to 90 degree) so far, and these equations are not precise and inconvenient to use with computer programming. Method of representing loss coefficient of butterfly valve using experiment data with several equations is presented and It is verified that log equation is most precise and convenient to use with computer programming in this research.

Insecticidal activity of 20 plant species against adults of Myzus persicae, female adults of Tetranychus urticae, and $2^{nd}\;or\;3^{rd}$ instar larvae of Plutella xylostella was evaluated in this study. Thirteen plant extracts showed over 80% acaricidal activity to T. urticae at the concentration of 1 %, while Capsicum annuum (hot-pepper seed), Inula helenium, and Acorus calamus revealed 82.8-86.2% acaricidal activities at 0.5%. Insecticidal activities of the plant extracts to M. persicae and P. xylostella were relatively low compare to the mite. Among the plant extracts, C. anuum and Brassica juncea revealed 48.6% and 42.9% respectively insecticidal activities to the aphid at the concentration of 0.5%. Extracts of C. anuum and Jeffersonia dubia provided 55% and 50% insecticidal activity against P. xylostella at 1%. And, the highest antifeeding activity of the insect was observed in the J. dubia extract as 79.4%. Results indicated that some plant extracts including hot pepper seed could be used as potential botanical pesticides for organic farming. 유기재배 농가에서 해충방제용으로 이용하거나 해충에 살충력이 보고된 식물추출물 20종을 점박이응애, 복숭아혹진딧물 및 배추좀나방에 대해 살비, 살충 효과를 검정하였다. 이들 중 13종의 식물추출물은 1% 농도에서 점박이응애에 대해 80%이상의 높은 살비력을 보였다. 그러나, 0.2% 농도에서는 모두 50% 미만의 살충율을 보였고, 0.5% 농도에서는 창포, 목향 및 고추씨 추출물이 각각 82.8%, 82.8%, 86.2%의 높은 살비력을 나타내었다. 복숭아혹진딧물에 대해서는 고추씨와 겨자 추출물이 0.5% 농도에서 48.6%와 42.9%로 가장 높은 살충력을 보였다. 배추좀나방의 경우 1% 농도에서 황련과 고추씨 추출물이 50%와 55%의 살충력을 보였고 나머지 추출물의 살충효과는 50% 미만으로 낮았다. 하지만 여러 식물추출물이 배추좀나방 유충의 섭식을 저해하는 효과를 보였으며 황련 추출물을 처리한 경우 유충의 섭식저해율이 79.4%로 가장 높았다. 본 실험을 통해 천연살충제로서 고추씨와 같이 사용이 용이한 식물체추출물이 유기농업에 이용 가능성이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
테레프탈산으로부터 합성한 알칼리 수용성 분산염료의 염색성과 견뢰도에 관한 연구

Dyeing and fastness properties of alkali-clearable disperse dyes of diester type, which were synthesized using diazo components derived from terephthalic acid, have been studied. They had good build-up properties and showed high exhaustion on regular polyester fiber. Washing and abrasion fastnesses of dyed polyester fabrics were excellent due to the solubility of the dyes in alkaline solution. Increase in molecular weight by introducing bulky sub-stituents to the dye improved sublimation fastness, while the addition of cyano group improved light fastness as expected. Fine denier polyester fabric dyed with the new disperse dye also exhibited excellent washing fastness. The newly synthesized dye barely stained cotton fiber, and gave good washing fastness of polyester/cotton blended fabric dyed by a one-bath dyeing method.
분산염료 분자구조에 따른 PU-함침 폴리에스터의 염색성

Disperse dyes having different molecular structures were prepared and their dyeing properties on PU, PET and PU-coated PET were studied. A disperse dye with common structure showed faster absorption rate into PU for its high affinity to PU at low temperature and this resulted in faster dyeing rate on PU-coated PET than on PET. On the other hand, a disperse dye having bulky structure was adsorbed into both PU-coated PET and PET at similar rate and it showed little affinity to PU in the whole dyeing temperature range. The amounts of disperse dyes eliminated from substrates by reduction clearing and washing fastness test were also measured. It was found that the disperse dye with bulky structure slipped out of PU in reduction clearing and washing fastness test in smaller quantity than the disperse dye with common structure. This phenomenon was corresponding well with the result of washing fastness test.
