This study is for the purpose of examining Balanchine's unique view of arts and his remarkable achievment has left for the history of American Ballet, through his artistic contributions of Life. Method of this study is 1. Examined Georges Balanchine's unique thoughts of arts and his well known master-piece "Serenade" 2. Examined traditional Ballet form in his works and his acute sensitivity to music, as a choreographer, characteristic and inclination. 3. Examined a profound and benefical influence he has left in American Ballet. 4. Examined his life, as a artist and relation with timespace by writings and critical editions about him. I hope that this study will prove a turning point in the present Korean Ballet and reforming the presentation of proper direction for Korean Ballet.
