초등교사의 모형 기반 체육수업 기피 현상에 관한 근거 이론 연구

[목적] 본 연구는 초등교사의 모형 기반 체육수업 양상을 심층적으로 탐색하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. [방법] 93명의 초등교사로부터 얻은 개방형 설문 결과와 7명의 초등교사가 참여한 FGI를 통해 자료가 수집되었다. 수집된 자료는 근거 이론 분석 절차(Strauss & Corbin, 1997)에 따라 분석되었다. [결과] 자료 분석 결과, 중심 현상(초등교사의 모형 기반 체육수업 기피 현상), 인과적 상황(초등체육수업의 전통적 장애 요인, 모형과 초등체육수업/교수자 사이의 부정합, 초등교사의 모형 기반 체육수업 경험 및 교사 지식 부족), 맥락적상황(복잡한 초등체육 교수 체계, 강력한 놀이 수업 트렌드), 중재적 조건(흥미 중심의 체육수업 가치 정향, 신체활동가치 교육과정에 대한 오해), 상호작용 전략(교수 방법보다는 신체활동 선정, 유튜브 위주의 수업 준비), 결과(학습자 포괄 효과 및 탈교육과정화)로 이어지는 근거 이론 패러다임 모형이 도출되었다. [결론] 초등교사의 모형 기반 체육수업 기피 현상은 계속해서 보고되고 있는 초등체육수업의 문제점들이 복합적으로빚어낸 산물이며, 향후 반복적으로 문제가 제기될 가능성이 매우 높다. 초등 교사의 모형 기반 체육수업 가능성을 제고하기 위해서 예비 및 현직교사교육에서 모형 활용을 위한 실천적 지식을 형성하기 위한 노력이 필요하다 PURPOSE This study sought to explore elementary school (ES) teachers' avoidance of teaching model-based instruction (MBI) in physical education (PE) lessons. METHODS An open-ended questionnaire (n=93) and three focus group interviews (FGI ) were conducted with seven ES teachers. The collected data were analyzed using grounded theory analysis procedures (Strauss & Corbin, 1997). RESULTS Accordingly, we derived a grounded theory paradigm model composed of the core phenomenon (ES teacher’s avoidance of MBI in PE lessons), causal conditions (traditional difficulties of Elementary PE lessons, mismatch between MBI and ES teachers/PE lessons, lack of experience and teacher knowledge for/in MBI), contextual conditions (complex instructor organization, powerful trend of play), intervening conditions (value orientation for fun-focused PE, misunderstanding about PE curriculum), interactive strategies (focus on screening physical activities, preparing for PE lessons with YouTube rather than teacher guide book), and results (learner inclusive effects and de-curricularization). CONCLUSIONS ES teachers’ avoidance of MBI in PE lessons is a result of several reported problems with elementary PE lessons and is likely to be a recurring problem in the future. To encourage ES teachers’ MBI in PE lessons, efforts should be made to build practical knowledge of model use in pre- and in-service teacher education.

The torsional vibration of the propulsion shafting system equipped with viscous damper is investigated. The equivalent system is modeled by a two mass softening system with Duffing's oscillator and the vibratory motion is described by non-linear differential equations of second order. The damper casing is fixed at the front-end of crankshaft and the damper's inertia ring floats in viscous silicon fluid inside of the camper casing. The excitation frenquency is proportional to the rotational speed of engine. The steady state response of the equivalent system is analyzed by the computer and for this analyzing, the harmonic balance method is adopted as a non-linear vibration analysis technique. Frequency response curves are obtained for 1st order resonance only. Jump phenomena are explained. The discriminant for the solutions of the steady state response is derived. Both theoretical and measured results of the propulsion shafting system are compared with and evaluated. As a result of comparisions with both data, it was confirmed that Duffing's oscillator can be used in the modeling of the propulsion shafting system attached with viscous damper with non-linear stiffness.

Prior Walter as a Challenger and a Prophet of Hope in Tony Kushner's Angels in America

Tony Kushner’s Angels in America challenges homophobic American conservatism, which stigmatizes and marginalizes homosexuals and PWAs as sexual "others." Prior Walter, a gay man with AIDS, transforms into a challenger and becomes a prophet of the new hope for America. According to Kushner’s political vision, Roy Cohn’s political immorality, selfishness, and self-contradiction parallel the angel’s and God’s selfishness, since God has seemingly abandoned Heaven, angels, and human beings, who are in desperate need. A dilapidated and chaotic Heaven symbolizes the contemporary barren America, where there is no justice and love. Thus, Prior quixotically challenges against the angel and refuses the angel’s demand to stop moving. Prior’s wrestling with the angel symbolizes Kushner’s struggle against American conservatism for liberalism, equal gay rights, and sexual subjectivity. In spite of dystopian aspects of American society, however, Angels in America is a hopeful play, focusing on hope, healing, forgiveness, and interconnectedness between people who form whole communities, since socio-politically marginalized people – like Belize, Hannah, and Louis – show the possibility of loving, forgiving, and embracing "others" as citizens.
