Forged Carbon Steel의 열처리에 의한 기계적 성질의 변화

0.2%C의 탄소강을 단조하여 여러가지 방법으로 열처리한 결과 SF45에 요구되는 기계적 성질을 만족시키는 열처리는 normalizing이었다. 기타의 탄소강들을 단조하여 normalizing된 상태에서 기계적 성질들을 비교하여 인장강도 및 elongation이 0.2%C와 0.6%C사이의 범위에서 탄소량에 의해 각각 다음 식들로 표시됨을 알았다. T.S.(Kgf/㎟)=69×(%C)+35 E.L.(%)=-34×(%C)+4 Various heat treatment has been performed to get the mechanical properties that full fill the conditions of SF45 with the forged carbon steel of 0.25%C. It is found that normalizing is the most suitable heat treatment. By comparing the mechanical properties of some other forged and normalized carbon steels, the following relationship between tensile strength and elongation and carbon content can be estabilished in the range of 0.2%C-0.6%C. Fine structure of the CNS ganglia in the geometric spider Nephila clavata (Araneae: Nephilidae)

As web spiders usually hang with their head downward, geometrical differences in body position could affect the organization of their central nervous system (CNS). Nevertheless, most of our knowledge of spider's CNS is dependent on what has been revealed from wandering spiders. To fill the gap, we describe here the fine structural organization of the ganglionic neurons and nerves in the geometric orb web spider Nephila clavata. Nerve cells in the supraesophageal ganglion in N. clavata are packed in the frontal, dorsal and lateral regions, but the nerve cells of the subesophageal mass are only restricted to the ventral and ventrolateral regions. High resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM) reveals the fine structural details of the neuroglial cells and the neuronal cells which have a conspicuous Golgi apparatus, rough ER, free ribosomes and well‐developed mitochondria. Comparing fine structural characteristics of the CNS ganglia with those of wandering spiders in most respects, it has been revealed that the geometrical difference may affects to the arrangement of receptors in the central body known as an important association center for web building behavior. In particular, remarkable differences can be detected in the protocerebral area by the extraordinary development of the central body including absence of the globuli and associated mushroom bodies.
Energy exchangeable multi-stage dry sorbent CO<sub>2</sub> capture process

A dry sorbent CO<sub>2</sub> capture process was designed to reduce the thermal energy consumption. The process utilize heat of absorption for heat of regeneration by consisting 3 stage process, and it can reduce the total thermal energy demand of a single stage capture process by more than 50%. The concept was realized as a lab-scale facility that can deal with CO<sub>2</sub> containing gas mixture with a flow rate of 60N㎥/h. The facility was designed so as to make inter-stage heat exchange and intra-stage heat exchange possible, and to measure the heat exchange rate accurately. The process needs 3 kinds of sorbents that work at the 3 different temperature stages. Three spherical sorbents suitable for fluidized beds have been developed. Development results of the facility and the sorbents for the energy exchangeable dry sorbent CO<sub>2</sub> capture process will be presented, and the operation results of the 60N㎥/h facility will also be disclosed.
