This study was carried out to investigate the micro-agribusiness realities of dairy farms by surveying both farmers' opinions and consumers' recognition of dairy farm products for in a value-chain analysis. In most cases, dairy farms produced fermented milk for sales and to prepare cheese both for sales and for providing the necessary material for farm visitors. Value-chain analysis did not seem to be a viable strategy for dairy farmers, except when assessing the quality of farmstead milk products in comparisons of dairy farm milks and commercial milk products. Consumers had a wide range of experience with milk products and had no willingness to buy products from dairy farms because of the high cost and the lack of product diversity. Our findings established three strategies for improving the economic feasibility of dairy farms. First, the price should be reduced by adopting a production balance to establish a farm-gate price, i.e., not as quota milk but as surplus milk. Second, consumers should be educated on the prescription of cheese at home. Third, a value-chain based on cooperative partnerships should be established among dairy farms. In addition, to improve the consumers' satisfaction on the diversity and quality of farm dairy products, developments of new value-added milk products made from the milk of cows allowed to graze on mountain pastures are needed.

PET/CT 장비 별 mini PACS에서 측정한 표준섭취계수(SUV)의 유용성 평가

PET/CT 검사의 자료 저장 및 분석을 위해 장비 자체의 workstation과는 별도로 자체 서버를 이용하거나 mini PACS를 구비하여 운영하기도 한다. mini PACS는 검사 자료의 저장뿐만 아니라 각 회사의 PET/CT 장비에서만 측정할 수 있었던 표준섭취계수(standardized uptake value, 이하 SUV)를 PACS 상에서도 측정이 가능하도록 개발되어 있다. 이에 PET/CT 장비 별 측정 된 SUV가 mini PACS에서도 동일하게 측정되는지 파악하기 위해 본 논문을 쓰게 되었다. 본원에 설치 된 Siemens사의 Biograph 16, Biograph 40 장비와 GE사의Discovery Ste 8 장비에서 각각 2011년 2월에 $^{18}F$-FDG 전신 PET 검사를 시행한 환자 30명의 liver와 mediastinum 높이에서 aorta의 SUV를 측정하고, mini PACS 프로그램에서도 같은 위상의 영상에서 SUV를 측정하여 분석하였다. PET/CT 장비와 mini PACS의 SUV의 상관계수는, Liver에서 Biograph 16은 0.99, Biograph 40은 0.98, Discovery Ste은 8 0.64이었고, aorta에서 Biograph 16은 0.98, Biograph 40은 0.98, Discovery Ste은 8 0.66이었으며 모두 양의 상관 관계가 있었다. Biograph 16에서의 liver와 aorta의 평균 SUV는 각각 $1.65{\pm}0.21g/mL$, $1.09{\pm}0.13g/mL$이었고, mini PACS에서는 $1.65{\pm}0.21g/mL$, $1.08{\pm}0.14g/mL$이었다. Biograph 40에서는 $1.82{\pm}0.30g/mL$, $1.31{\pm}0.21g/mL$, mini PACS에서는 $1.82{\pm}0.29g/mL$, $1.32{\pm}0.21g/mL$이었다. Biograph 장비와 mini PACS의 SUV는 유의수준 0.05에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. Discovery Ste 8에서는 liver와 aorta의 평균 SUV가 $1.48{\pm}0.15g/mL$, $0.96{\pm}0.12g/mL$, mini PACS에서는 $1.67{\pm}0.18g/mL$, $1.16{\pm}0.13g/mL$이었고, 유의수준 0.05에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. Biograph 16, Biograph 40, Discovery Ste 8 세 장비 모두 SUV 측정에서 mini PACS와 높은 상관관계가 있었고, 특히 mini PACS에서 측정한 Biograph 장비들의 SUV는 차이가 없었다. 다만 mini PACS와 Discovery Ste 8에서 측정된 SUV는 liver에서는 $0.19{\pm}0.03g/mL$, aorta에서는 $0.20{\pm}0.01g/mL$로 mini PACS 값이 높게 측정되었고, 통계적으로도 차이가 있었지만 그 차이는 미세하였다. 장비 별 mini PACS의 SUV 계산식에 대한 보완이 이루어진다면, 동일 환자가 다른 장비에서 검사한 경우 이와 같은 mini PACS 시스템을 이용한 분석을 통해, 추적 검사를 수행하는 환자의 일관성 있는 정량분석 자료를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. Purpose: Facilities use own sever or mini PACS system for storage and analysis of the PET/CT data. Mini PACS can storage scan data as well as measuring SUV. Therefore, the study was performed to confirm whether or not measured SUV on mini PACS is measured equally on PET/CT workstation. Materials and Methods: In February 2011, 30 patients who were performed $^{18}F$-FDG wholebody PET/CT scan in Biograph 16, Biograph 40 and Discovery Ste 8 were enrolled. First, using each workstation, SUV in liver and aorta of mediastinum level was measured. Second, using mini PACS, SUV was measured by same method. Result: The correlation coefficient of SUV in liver between PET/CT scanner and min PACS in Biograph 16, Biograph 40, Discovery Ste 8 was 0.99, 0.98, 0.64 respectably, the correlation coefficient of SUV in aorta was 0.98, 0.98, 0.66, and these were showed positive correlation coefficient. Difference of SUV between Biograph workstation and mini PACS was not showed statistical significant difference at 5% level of significance. Difference of SUV between Discovery Ste 8 workstation and mini PACS was showed statistical significant difference at 5% level of significance. Conclusion: In case that patient was scanned by the other scanner, if the correction of SUV formula in mini PACS for each scanners is performed, mini PACS will be usefully used to provide consistently quantitative assessment.

교토의정서(Kyoto Protocol) 기후변화협약에 따른 온실가스 감축에 관한 의정서. 1997년 교토에서 열린 유엔기후변화협약 당사국 총회에서 채택. 선진국은 2008~2012년 사이에 온실가스 배출량을 1990년 배출량 대비 평균 5.2% 감축토록 규정. 한국은 의무감축 대상국이 아니며 미국은 교토의정서를 비준하지 않았음.

한국적 향신료가 Lactobacillus casei YIT9018 의 성장에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구

The effects of the common Korean spices (garlic, ginger, welshonion and red pepper) on the growth of Lactobacillus casei YIT9018 have been studied in TGY broth at 37℃. In TGY broth, the Welsh onion stimulated the growth of L. casei YIT9018 at the content rat ions up to 4% of the broth while garlic (1-5%) and ginger (0.1-0.5%) strongly inhibited the growth of L. casei even at the lowest concentration used and red pepper inhibited slighty the growth when more than 4 % of red pepper was added When the garlic and ginger were heated at 90℃ for 10 minutes, their inhibitory activity was completely removed The growth inhibition of garlic was not affected but the inhibitory activity of ginger was disappeared, when 5 % of skim milk was added to the challenged culture. Practically these spices are not usually used as much as they inhibit the growth of lactic acid bacteria and furthermore the cooking at high temperature and other food material decrease the possibility of the spice inhibition of health-promoting lactic acid bacteria in foods as well as in human intestinal tracts.

GF($p^m$)상에서 모든 항의 계수가 0이 아닌 기약다항식에 대한 병렬 승산기의 설계

본 논문에서는 유한체 GF($P^m$)상에서 모든 항의 계수가 이 아닌 두 다항식의 승산 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 제시된 승산 알고리즘을 이용하여 모듈 구조의 병렬 입-출력 승산기를 구성하였다. 제시된 승산기는 $(m+1)^2$개의 동일한 셀로 구성되었으며, 각각의 셀은 1개의 mod(p) 가산 게이트와 1개의 mod(p) 승산 게이트로 구성되었다. 본 논문에서 제시된 승산기는 클럭이 필요하지 않고 m개의 mod(p) 가산 게이트 지연시간과 1개의 mod(p) 승산 게이트 소자 지연시간만을 필요로 한다. 또한, 제시된 승산기는 규칙성과 셀 배열에 의한 모듈성을 가지므로 VLSI 회로 실현에 적합할 것이다. In this paper, we proposed a multiplicative algorithm for two polynomials with all non-zero coefficients over finite field GF($P^m$). Using the proposed multiplicative algorithm, we constructed the multiplier of modular architecture with parallel in-output. The proposed multiplier is composed of $(m+1)^2$ identical cells, each cell consists of one mod(p) additional gate and one mod(p) multiplicative gate. Proposed multiplier need one mod(p) multiplicative gate delay time and m mod(p) additional gate delay time not clock. Also, our architecture is regular and possesses the property of modularity, therefore well-suited for VLSI implementation.
