        커머셜 항공기 에어 데이터 시스템의 인적오류 분석과 안전에 미치는 영향에관한 연구

        A key component of aviation safety is to eliminate the errors in commercial aircraft air data systems toensure stable aviation operation. Although the technical aspects such as the maintenance and inspection play apertinent role, human errors are expected to have a similar or even larger influence on the aviation safety. Aviation maintenance and inspection tasks are often performed by a complex organization, in whichindividuals perform a variety of tasks in an environment involving time pressure, sparse feedback, andcomplex conditions. These situational characteristics, combined with the general tendency of human error, maylead to various types of errors, which may have critical consequences such as accidents and loss of life. Forinstance, if an amber message "IAS DISAGREE" is displayed on the primary flight display while the aircraftis rolling on the runway to takeoff, the crew immediately performs a rejected takeoff operation andtroubleshoots the air data system. This paper proposes alternative approaches to address the occurrence ofdefects due to the human factors involved in the practical processes of the air data system of commercialaircraft.

        Constraints of Urban Agricultural Participation as a Leisure Activity

        Today, urban agriculture becomes a critical activity for city residents not only as an emerging niche industry but also as a new leisure activity. However, many city-dwellers do not and/or can not participate urban agriculture as a leisure activity in spite of its own merits. The self-administered questionnaire survey was applied to analyze constraints of urban agriculture participation. As a result, three factors were extracted. Primary constraints prevent people from participating urban agriculture as a leisure activity were categorized by ‘internal factor, structural factor and personal factor’ and the first factor was revealed as the worst constraint. Hence, a positive publicity on the advantage of urban agriculture in the level of central or local governments and diverse NGOs will be a core solution to overcome these constraints. The second constraint is a structural factor as situational or instrumental agents which prohibit people from participating in urban agriculture. In this case, public sector plays an important role to cope with. As the last constraint for participating urban agriculture, communications among people who want to do and to teach are crucial. Accordingly, it is needed to develop community garden and engage in agriculture with an apartment complex or local community members together.

      • 위축성 비염(AR) 이환돈에서 분리된 Bordetella bronchiseptica의 성상

        During 2 years from 1992 to 1994, prevalence of atrophic rhinitis(AR) in the pig herds located in the Western Chungnam was investigated, and isolation of B bronchiseptica was attempted for the pigs manifested with the clinical signs of atrophic rhinitis. The isolates were characterized and identified in aspects of biochemical properties, antigenicity, drug sensitivity and pathogenicity. The results through the experiments are summarized as follows; 1. The prevalence of clinical cases of artrophic rhinitis was recorded by 12.7% in the group that is the sows and piglets vaccinated, 28.9% in the group that is the sows only vaccinated and 39.8% in the group of the non-vaccinated groups. In th slaughter house, 53(24.8%) of 214 pigs examined exhibit the AR lesions. 2. A total of 189 strains of B bronchiseptica were isolated from the pig herds. Isolation rates were 12.6% in the group that is the sows and piglets vaccinated, 34.1% in the group that is the sows only vaccinated and 45.7% in the group of the non-vaccinated groups. Isolation rate in the specimen from the slaughter house was 93(43.5%) of 214 pigs examined. Of the AR-non-vaccinated group, the piglets aged between 61 to 90 days revealed the highest isolation rate of 58.5%. 3. Biochemical and serological propertities of 189 isolates were very similar to those of the reference B bronchiseptica phase I type, indicating that most of isolates are B bronchiseptica phase I type. 4. In antimicrobial drug susceptibility, 87.3% of 189 isolates was susceptible to chloramphenicol, 79.9%, to amikacin, 64.6%, to cephalothin and less than 35.4% to others. 5. The whole cells and bacterial filtrates of the isolates were inoculated to guinea pigs and mice. The isolates showed the high pathogenicity and dermonecrotoxicity. 6. In SDS-PAGE analysis, the isolates presented the identical protein profiles to the reference standard strains.

        식품용 금속 캔으로부터 비스페놀 A 관련 물질들의 분석 및 이행 연구

        Analysis method was presented for the simultaneous determination of nine bisphenol A related compounds such as bisphenol A (BPA), phenol, p-tert-butylphenol, bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (BADGE), BADGE· 2H2O, BADGE·2HCl, bisphenol F diglycidyl ether (BFDGE), BFDGE·2H2O and BFDGE·2HCl migrated from inner coatings of metal food cans by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with fluorescence detection. The method was validated by examining the linearity of calibration curve, the limit of detection (LOD), the limit of quantification (LOQ), recovery and uncertainty. The migration tests of nine BPA related compounds were carried out with four food simulants; deionized water (DW), 4% acetic acid, 50% ethanol and n-heptane. There was not any compound detected in DW, 4% acetic acid and 50% ethanol at 60oC for 30 min and n-heptane at 25oC for 60 min. BPA and phenol were migrated into 4% acetic acid and 50% ethanol at 95oC for 30 min. The concentrations were ranged from 0 to 10.77 μg/L of BPA and from 0 to 2.35 μg/L of phenol. Canned foodstuffs mostly have long-term shelf life. We investigated migration of nine BPA related compounds according to the variation in storage periods (0~90 days) and temperatures (4, 25 and 60oC). All compounds were not founded during 90 days at 4oC and 25oC, respectively. However BPA and BADGE·2H2O were founded in DW and 4% acetic acid at 60oC. The migration levels of BPA and BADGE·2H2O were close to the value of LOQ, respectively and did not change significantly as storage period. It was founded from results that the migration of BPA related compounds from metal food cans was controlled to a safe level.

        식품용 폴리카보네이트 기구류 중 ICP-MS를 이용한 중금속 이행량 조사

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the migration levels of lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd) and arsenic (As) from polycarbonate food contact materials into food simulant at different temperatures (70°C and 100°C). The method was validated by linearity of calibration curves, limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantification (LOQ), recovery, precision and uncertainty. All of 200 samples, including bottles, cups, containers, ladles, spoons and tongs were purchased from domestic markets and analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Mean concentrations of positive samples were higher at 100°C than 70°C as showing a dependency of migration temperature. The migration concentrations ranged from not-detected (ND) to 4.67 μg/L, ND to 0.49 μg/L and ND to 2.91 μg/L for Pb, Cd and As, respectively, which were far below the migration limits of Korea standards and specifications for food utensils, containers and packages.

        Relationships among Disability, Quality of Life, and Physical Fitness in Lumbar Spinal Stenosis: An Investigation of Elderly Korean Women

        Study Design: A cross-sectional, case-control study. Purpose: To investigate associations between physical fitness measures and disabilities related to back pain and quality of life (QOL) by the presence of symptomatic lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) in elderly Korean women. Overview of Literature: LSS leads to decreased functioning and reduced QOL. However, correlations among physical fitness, disability, and QOL have not been investigated in elderly women with LSS. Methods: Participants included women aged 65 years and older (n=192), divided into a study group (n=38) and a control group (n=154) based on the presence/absence of LSS. All participants underwent physical function and fitness tests. Oswestry disability index (ODI) scores and EuroQol five-dimensional questionnaire (EQ-5D-5L) scores were used to assess disability and health-related QOL. Results: The results for the handgrip strength, sit-and-reach, functional reach, and timed up and go (TUG) tests were significantly higher in the control group than the LSS group. ODI scores were significantly higher and EQ-5D-5L scores significantly lower in the LSS group. TUG and functional reach test scores were significantly correlated with ODI scores, and handgrip strength was strongly interrelated with ODI and EQ-5D-5L scores in the LSS group. No other physical fitness measures showed statistically significant relationships with ODI or EQ-5D-5L scores. Conclusions: In elderly Korean women with LSS, back pain-related disability and QOL are significantly associated with some physical fitness parameters such as handgrip strength. Handgrip strength reflects general muscle strength, which is significantly interrelated with the level of disability and QOL. Our results suggest that enhancing generalized muscle strength helps to reduce disability due to back pain and improve QOL in patients with LSS.
