In case of earth-covered storage, the condensation occurs on surface of wall and stores in summer with high humidity because of low temperature of constructional mass. Therefore, the preventive plans should be considered to protect stores from the damage by corrosion in earth-covered storages. This study aims to suggest the methods of forced ventilation by the air, to solve the problems of constructions surface condensation at the Magazine of igloo type which is similar to earth-covered storages. A fan was installed at the air outlet for exhaust gas to conduct forced ventilation. The surface and indoor temperature were measured, and then the influence of those on condensation was analyzed. The results of this research are follows; 1) Forced ventilation by a fan affects the rise in surface temperature of walls and stores. 2) The condensation on surface of walls and stores was reduced after operating a fan.

The purpose of this study was to propose a synthetic envelope thermal performance for small-scale buildings to satisfy the building energy efficiency grade 1++, which is the standard for zero-energy building certification. It was found that the correlation between the average heat transmission rate by wall area and the heating energy demand was very low. And the correlation between the average heat transmission rate by floor area and the heating energy demand was very high. Therefore, it would be desirable to apply the average heat transmission rate by floor area as the synthetic envelope thermal performance. Design conditions for the primary energy consumption to be less than 140kWh/m² should satisfy the average heat transmission rate by floor area of 0.45W/m²K or less, and install renewable energy when it exceeds 0.45W/m²K in the Jungbu 2 area

Energy loss from windows accounts for large scores of heating and cooling loads also in energy saving apartments that is reduced over 30% of total energy consumption. Movable reflective insulations, insulation shutters, blinds, insulated shades are used to reduce energy loads from windows. In this study, energy saving performance of insulated shades was simulated by control methods. According to installation of insulated shades, heating loads were decreased about 10.5∼11.3%, and cooling loads are decreased about 29.1∼38.3% on an energy saving apartment. The heating peak load was reduced about 9.5% by insulated shades and the cooling peak load was reduced about 25.7∼31.5%. In the case of insulated shades with automatic control system, simple time schedule control system would be more efficient than outdoor detection control system that should use several sensors.
