The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of health related fitness and Dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAs) after 12 weeks of combined exercise. Subjects were consisted of fourteen elderly women. The training program included stretching for 10 minutes, aerobic exercise (weight bearing exercise and balance exercise at an intensity above 40~59% of HRR during 1~6 weeks, and 60~84% of HRR during 7~12 weeks) for 30 minutes and 20 minutes of resistance exercise (muscle strengthening+posture correction). The program was conducted 3 times a week for 12 weeks. We found that LBM (lean body mass) was significantly (p<.05) increased and gait ability were significantly improved after combined exercise. Also DHEAs concentration was significantly increased after combined exercise but testosterone was not changed. In conclusion, the combined exercise showed a positive influence on body composition and health related fitness. In particular DHEAs concentration were significantly improved after combined exercise. Therefore, it might be thought that combined exercise would be a positive role in the of aging.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of exercise frequency on abdominal fat, muscle mass, blood lipids and health related fitness after 12 weeks of combined exercise. Subjects were consisted of twenty-one elderly obese women(3days a week group:7, 5days a week group:7, control group:7) who have more than 24 MMSE score. The combined exercise program included stretching for 10 minutes, aerobic exercise for 30 minutes and 15 minutes of resistance exercise 15 minutes of yoga exercise. We found that %body fat was significantly decreased, and muscle mass was significantly increased after 12 weeks in all combined exercise group. Also, the blood lipids and health related fitness were significantly improved all combined exercise group. However, all parameter improved in 5days a week exercise group more than 3days a week exercise group. Therefore, it might be thought that the more than more exercise frequency would be a positive role for health related factors in elderly obese women.

As a result of making the elderly women over 75 years do the combined exercise four times a week during 24 weeks, the body composition was improved by the significantly decrease of weight and BMI and the increase of LBM in the combined exercise group. In regard to serum lipids, all the factors except for HDL cholesterol significantly increased in control group, while total cholesterol and HDL cholesterol were significantly improved in the combined exercise group. Especially, IL-6 and homocysteine as risk factors of cardiovascular diseases were significantly reduced in the combined exercise group and CRP and homocysteine significantly increased in the control group. Therefore, for the elderly women, to perform a long-term combined exercise brings the progress of serum lipids through the improvement of body composition and especially has a positive effect on the decrease of homocysteine, which is recently known for a risk factor of cardiovascular diseases. That means, it reduces and prevent the death rate caused by cardiovascular diseases and may help the elderly save medical expenses and improve their quality of life.

Currently, as a result of an increase in stuffing of marginal cargo or unsuitable containerizable cargo into containers, a lot of problems occur, such as plenty of damage to containers, costs of repairing damage and inefficient flow of physical distribution, etc. The aim of this study is how to improve such problems, especially how to standardize the costs of repairing damaged containers arising from stuffing marginal cargo or unsuitable containerizable cargo into containers done by cargo owners for the purpose of benefits to the merchants, carriers, container leasers, and others interested as well as the efficient flow of container terminal.

What the skill of skeletal muscle system drop off when he is the elderly is a biological peculiarity, however it is affected in the ability by his habitual ways and environmental condition. Aging and the rising effect of underexercise bring a falling-off in skill on skeletal muscle system and physical activity is one of major condition in aging change for preventing the change. It is possible that we grasp the age change exactly about the organs of the body and constitution and feedback one"s habitual ways. Going up physical activity(aerobic exercise+resistance exercise) can improve in muscular strength and cardiovascular function and self- reliance fitness and prevent the fall as well.
태권도 수련이 비만 청소년의 신체구성과 체력 및 비스파틴(Visfatin) 농도에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes of body composition, physical fitness and visfatin concentration after 12weeks Taekwondo training. Subjects were consisted of twenty obese adolscent men. The taekwondo training was composed of 64% HRR in 1~6weeks, 67% HRR in 7~12 weeks, 60 minutes per day, 5 days per week. The results of this study are as follow BMI and %body fat were significantly decreased and lean body mass was significantly increased after taekwondo training. VO2max(㎖/min) and VO2max(㎖/㎏/min) were significantly training. Grip strength, standing jump long and side step were significantly increased taekwondo training. insulin resistance decreased significantly after taekwondo training. Visfatin was significantly(p<.01) decreased taekwondo training. In conclusion, taekwondo training was shown to positive influence on body composition, VO2max and cholesterol. In particularly, visfatin concentration was decreased after 12 week taekwondo training in obese adolescent men. Therefore, it is maybe thought that taekwondo training was important role for prevent obesity.

We investigated the effect of the regular combined exercise training for the body composition, serum lipid, metabolic syndrome factor and carotid artery and brachial artery luminal diameter in 50 years men in metabolic syndrome. The combined exercise training included resistance training(65%RM for first 6 weeks 15 frequency 75%RM for another 6 weeks 15 frequency) and aerobic exercise (50%HRR for first 6 weeks and 70%HRR for another 6weeks). The results showed that %body fat, total cholesterol and LDL-C were significantly decreased and lean body mass and apolipoprotein A-I were significantly increase in combined training group but body weight, BMI, WHR, insulin and HOMA-IR did not change. Waist circumference, triglyceride, fasting glucose, systolic and diastolic blood pressure were significantly decreased and high density lipoprotein cholesterol was significantly increased in combined training group. Also, carotid artery luminal diameter and brachial artery luminal diameter were significantly increased in combined training group but carotid artery intima-media and radial artery luminal dimeter did not change. In conclusion, we could find that the combined exercise training could improve the body composition, serum lipid, lipoprotein and metabolic syndrome factor in combined exercise training group. So, regular combined exercise training could positive change of carotid artery through increase carotid artery luminal diameter and brachial artery luminal diameter.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between carotid artery intima-media thickness(CIMT) and walking speed in non obesity and obesity elderly women. Subjects were consisted of 95 elderly women(70.8±4.8yrs). Body composition, physical function, physical activity and CIMT were measured, and CIMT was measure by B-mode ultrasound. Difference of non obesity and obesity group between of body composition, physical function, physical activity and CIMT was used to independent t-test, Analyses of covariance (ANCOVA) assessed independent associations between the three categories of walking speed and the CIMT, after controlling for sex, age, height and systolic blood pressure. We used logistic regression analyses to determine odds ratios(OR) and 95% confidence intervals(CI) adjusted for age, height, systolic blood pressure, physical activity and to assess independent associations between walking speed and estimated risk of cardiovascular disease(CVD). There were significant difference in Height, Body mass, Body fat free mass, BMI, %body fat, WHR, and SBP between non Obesity and Obesity. ANCOVA analyses showed that participants with CIMT progression was significantly higher in slow walking speed (vs T2 p<0.05, vs T3 p<0.05, respectively) both the non obesity and obesity. The multivariate-adjusted OR and CI for the estimated risk of CVD in first, three groups were 3.613 (95%CI, 1.027 to 12.716) and 1.436 (95% CI, 0.410 to 5.032), respectively. This study demonstrates that individuals who fast walking speed more effective the prevention of coronary artery disease than who slow walking speed in elderly women.
