Electrolytic hydrolysis of toxic chemicals such as pesticide and nerve agent simulants was examined in the presence of catalysts that range from amino acids to functionalized surfactant and inorganic solids (zeolite, silica, and titanium dioxide). Hydroxide ions produced from cathode activate the catalysts by deprotonation of the active group, and proton ions around anode can not only neutralize hydroxide ions but make aqueous solution around anode strongly acidic enough to kill microorganisms. The cleavage rates of toxic chemicals have improved with the aid of catalysts: among the catalysts tested, functionalized surfactant shows exceptionally high cleavage rate against PNPDPP, and slight increase in cleavage rate was observed with the inorganic solid like zeolite. Cysteine was the most effective among amino acids for the deactivation of organophosphates. The sewage water from the Suwon area was also tested to result in the remarkable reduction, especially with titanium dioxide, in COD, decolorization, deodorization, and turbidity. The applicability of the electrolytic hydrolysis system for the deactivation of toxic chemicals in aqueous system and its modification needed are thoroughly studied in this paper.

Bacillus P-92 which fermented antler was isolated from intestinal bacteria. The biological activites, carbon clearance and growth activity of lactic acid bacteria, of fermented antler was better than those of untreated antler. The enyzmes activities, ${\beta}-glucosidase,\;{\beta}-glucuronidase$ and tryptophanase, of intestinal bacteria of mice treated with fermented antler were lower than those of mice treated with untreated antler, although those of mice treated with fermented antler or untreated antler were higher than those of control. Biological activity of the antler seems to be increased by fermentation.

This paper presents a computer program for easy and rapid disease diagnosis of olive flounder diseases. To design the program, standard diagnosis process of the 14 olive flounder diseases was first setup, then implemented four-steps diagnosis program. To run program, first input fundamental information such as water temperature, size of the diseased fish. Then sequentially, three categories of key factors for disease diagnosis which include external clinical signs, internal clinical signs and microscopic observations are selected. When a user selects the observed signs of olive flounder from the listed options, the program provides maximum 5 presumed disease candidates in order. The disease information, treatment and prevention methods are provided by connected web server through internet. The program would support fish doctors and farmers by providing easy and rapid diagnosis of diseased olive flounder.
