In this study, it was observed that the discharge voltage is increased(Vd ∝ H), the discharge current and luminous intensity are decreased(L ∝ H^2) as the magnetic field intensity(H) applied on the several commercial fluorescent lamps is increased. Magnetic insulation is appeared in the condition that critical transverse magnetic field is applied on the fluorescent lamps. At that condition, discharge current is reduced very low level, and then glow is disappeared. As the length of the lamp tubes is decreased, magnetic field intensity has to increased in order to occur "magnetic insulation". The experimental relation between critical magnetic field intensity for magnetic insulation anil the length of the lamp tubes (H^*d_eff/V_d^(1/2) = A) is obtained.
차세대 이동통신시스템에서의 채널할당 알고리즘 및 시뮬레이터 개발에 관한 연구

최근에 국내에서 이동통신 서비스에 관한 수요가 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 이와 함께 차세대 이동통신(IMT-2000)에서 성능평가를 위한 시뮬레이터의 제작 및 표준화에 대한 요구가 대두되고 있으며, 국가적인 계획으로 차세대 이동통신에 대한 핵심기술을 얻기 위하여 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 본 논문에서는 차세대 이동통신의 실현을 위하여 가장 중요한 역할을 차지하는 시뮬레이터의 제작, 필요한 파라메터의 추출 및 채널할당 알고리즘에 대한 기초 연구를 수행하였다. In recent years, the demands of mobile communication services habe been explosively increasing in our country. On the other hand, IMT-2000 is expected to be a standard mobile service and a simulator development for performance analyses. Therefore, we should offer a great deal of efforts to attain the core technology of IMT-2000 as a national strategic plan. At this point of time, this paper including simulator development, parameter reterival, and performance analyses plays one of the most important roles for realization of IMT-2000 in the near future.

The HCP(hypocycloidal pinch) device has been used to produce dense high temperature plasmas near thermonuclear fusion conditions. It is shown recently that the device is also useful for pumping high-power iodine lasers and dye lasers with high-power light output. Initial surface discharge over the disk insulator of the device is not uniform to the azimuthal direction so that the effect of plasma pinch decrease and light intensity radiated from the device is not uniform to the azimuthal direction. The resulting spectral profiles are shown the peak near 350-400 rim, over the near ultraviolet and violet region. Light emitted from the device is rather intense in the case of using xenon as the filling gas than argon or helium, and increase exponentially depend on the pressure of the filled gas. The pressure of the filled gas is higher, the wavelength of the peak intensity is shorter.
IMT-2000의 다층셀 구조를 위한 시뮬레이션 모델에 관한 기초연구

본 연구에서는 'IMT-2000 무선망 시뮬레이터'구성을 위한 제반 파라미터, 핵심기술의 추출 및 성능평가를 위한 자료를 제시하여 IMT-2000구현을 위한 기반자료를 창출한고저 한다. 더욱이 IMT-2000의 무선망에서 구축되는 다층 셀구성의 효과적인 배치를 위하여, 기존의 채널할당 알고리즘과 핸드오버 알고리즘을 비교분석하여 IMT-2000시스템 실현을 위한 기초연구를 수행하였다. In this study, it is retrieved that the core contents and parameters to build a radio-simulator of IMT-2000. In addition, fundamental data to evaluate the performance of the simulator are generated. In order to obtain the effective placement of Multi-layer Cell, this paper also compared the characteristics of algorithms for distributed dynamic channel assignment strategies. The results from this process must be important background for the sake of realization of IMT-2000 in the near future.
플라즈마 콘파인멘트를 위한 스페레타磁場構造의 調査에 關한 硏究

Spherator fields are used as a kind of magnetic field of toroidal system for plasma confinement in this experiment. Spherator fields have several merits such as ease of field production, having axisymmetric field and having long confining time. Field structures of spherators are calculated by computor, and each calculated feld structure well coincides with the plasma shape confined in the same magnetic surface as calculated one. The existence of rotational transform in this spherator is also observed, and plasma shapes coincide well with the calculated rational number of the magnetic surface. A method to investigate the error field by a current feeder to the internal ring of a spherator is also sought by observation and measurement of plasma in the field.
