Most of the marine tourism in Korean society can be said to be highinvolvement tourism that is taken lots of cost, time, and effort. For this reason, the marine tourism is failing to be vitalized yet compared to the advanced countries in the West. Accordingly, to overcome vulnerability in the process of this marinetourism business, the marketing activity needs to be attempted that can get over constraints available for being shown in the process of consumers' leisure activity. There is a need of allowing cultural capital necessary for marine tourism to be formed and of increasing involvement in marine-tourism resources by transmitting familiarity and prior knowledge to consumers through education for activity. Also, network system in sale and publicity needs to be implemented that can connect consumers who have interest in marine tourism. There is a need of establishing a market segmentation strategy in line with their characteristics by making social capital according to consumers' characteristics. Also, there is a need of developing tourism products and establishing a marketing strategy so that marine tourists can have several experiences with one-time visit by forming industrial cluster of surrounding marine tourism.
동아시아 문화권 관광객의 기후변화로 인한 한국관광지 위험지각 차이분석

The expansion of globalization has caused the homogenization of cultures around the world. This distinct trend is especially noticeable regarding cultural aspects of universal values. At the same time, however, the distinct features of individual cultures affect people in different ways. South Korea, China, and Japan contain both homogeneous and heterogeneous cultural characteristics. The purpose of this study is to explore the differences in how Korean, Chinese, and Japanese people who live in East Asia perceive the risks of global climate change. Furthermore, this study examines differences in how tourists who have different cultural backgrounds perceive risks caused by climate change when they experience a different culture, and it also suggests theoretical implications on the relation of universal cultural traits and heterogeneous cultural traits. The results show that there are differences in the perceptions of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese tourists on the risks from climate change in tourist areas. This exploratory study is expected to lead to further discussion on cultural universality and distinctiveness, which deserves further examination from the tourism sector in the age of globalization.
자연환경 기반 한국 해양생태관광 활성화 방안 고찰을 위한 탐색적 연구: 1) 한국인 관광객 및 서구인 관광객의 환경에 대한 문화적 인식 차이를 중심으로

The study is an exploratory and descriptive research to come up with measures to revitalize the marine ecotourism in Korea. The marine ecotourism can be completed based on tourists commitments to the appreciation of values, beliefs, and norms in the pro-environmental consumption of marine natural environment. It can be supported by the application of the VBN(value-belief-norm) theory, that helps understand which psychological factors in tourists make them motivated to be involved in the marine ecotourism. The study is to verify a hypothesis that tourists pro-environmental consumption differs from their cultures, and perform a survey to see the cultural differences between Korean and Western tourists using some important variables of VBN theory through T-tests. An exploratory and descriptive analysis is performed to suggest a strategy to revitalize the marine ecotourism in Korea in the future. Analysis shows that there are some differences between Korean and Western tourists in some of environment-related important variables of VBN theory. Therefore, it is needed to plan the revitalization strategy of marine ecotourism in Korea, considering the cultural differences of tourists.

The study is to explore the values of city tourism. regarded as a promising type of tourism in today`s world. City tourism needs the modern development strategies where everyday life is separated from unusual life while it comprehends overlapped spatial boundaries where everyday life coexists with unusual life based on the postmodern time order. Such a characteristic of city tourism brings changes to established values of sense of space inherent in a tourist attraction, and helps tourists experience the value of reflexivity in everyday life that they learn from use of tourism resources of a city. Therefore the study expects that city tourism will give a new humanities perspective to sustainable tourism development in future societies.

As popular culture is rapidly changing in the postmodern era, it is necessary to formulate a right communication system between popular culture and religion. Christian discourse is a religious conviction and a system of thought that deserves attention during deep discussions on the relation between popular culture and religion. Although popular culture in the postmodern era respects diversity, the cultural relativism makes people agonize over the ethical validity. Moreover the good and adverse effects of discourse on popular culture lead to the discussion that each function of Christian discourse should be connected or separated. The study is expected to organize a sustainable relationship between discourses on religion and popular culture.

현대사회에서 사회구성원들의 의식과 행위는 점차 개인화되고 있으며, 사람들은 노동 중심의 단선적인 삶으로부터의 탈피를 도모하고 있다. 이에 따른 탈주의 욕구는 탈일상적인 생활 체험에 대한 다양한 행동으로 외현된다. 최근 확산된 관광은 사회 구성원들의 탈주 욕구의 외적 표현 중 하나로 간주할 수 있다. 관광을 통해 얻는 새로운 문화에 대한 체험은 그 문화가 주는 성찰적 속성을 사고하기에 충분하다. 문화관광이 가져다주는 매력은 성찰성 확립에 의한 정체성 구성을 가능하게 한다는 점에서 중요한 본원적 의미가 내재해있다. 이 같은 사회구성원들의 욕구 변화는 개인의 삶의 가치가 정치경제적 차원에서 생활문화적 차원으로 전이되는 생활정치 시대의 변화상을 반영한다. 이는 그간 사회구성원에게 간과되었던 생활문화적 시민권의 발흥과 밀접한 관련이 있는 사회현상이라 할 수 있다. 요컨대 개인화에서 파생된 자율과 선택권에 대한 삶의 가치 부여는 일상적체험으로서의 관광에 대한 욕구를 활성화 시켰다고 할 수 있다. Modern Society is seeing its members individualize their consciousness and behavior gradually and people come to escape from single-track life centered on labor. The resultant desire for escape leads to pursuit of non-daily living experience. Tourism, which has been dispersed recently, can be regarded as society members` external expression of their desire for escape. Experience of new culture obtained through tourism is sufficient for becoming reflective from the culture. The attractiveness of tourism is that it enables construction of identity by reflexivity from experience in the change of korea traditional culture. Such a change in the desire among society members reflects aspects of the changes in living politics age by which the area of the demand for personal rights changes from a political-economic aspect to living-culture one. The emphasis on autonomy and individuality derived from individualization reinforced activation of the desire for tourism as daily experience.
