GPS is the global Navigation Satellite System which is developed by the United States Department of Defense as an abbreviation of the Global Positioning System. The GPS uses a constellation of 24 Medium Earth Orbit satellites that transmit precise microwave signals, that enable GPS receivers to determine their location, speed, direction, and time. Following, the shooting down of Korean Air Lines Flight 007 in 1983. President Ronald Reagan issued a directive making the system available free for civilian use as a common good. Since then, GPS has become a widely used aid to navigation worldwide, and a useful tool for map-making, land surveying, commerce, scientific uses, and hobbies such as geocaching. GPS also provides a precise time reference used in many applications including scientific study of earthquakes, and synchronization of telecommunications networks.

The WHO/International Agency for Research on Cancer(IARC) has classified radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as possibly carcinogenic to humans(Group 2B), based on an increased risk for glioma, a malignant type of brain cancer, associated with wireless phone use on 31, May 2011. It takes 10 years after announcing the electric magnetic as possibly carcinogenic to humans(Group 2B) and 14 years after starting research project. It is too late as mentioned, too weak in terms of the same class to 'pickles & coffee' and too little in terms of using words 'more studies required'. The guidelines on human exposure to electromagnetic fields have been developed to provide guidance to identify the safety of exposure to electromagnetic fields. On the recent recommendations of safety guidelines, there has been discussion on possible chronic effects of electromagnetic fields with much lower or no threshold. This paper riviews the global trends of safety guidelines and has suggested the new guidelines for protecting the human health, wildlife and insects.
하악골 부분절제술 및 재건(늑골이식 및 금속판 고정)을 통한 법랑 아세포종의 외과적 치험례

This is a report of case about hemimandibulectomy and surgical reconstruction with long metal plate and immediate rib bone graft of plexiform ameloblastoma in the right mandibular body and angle region of 21-year-old female patient. She visited to our OMF-S dept. with chief complaint of facial asymmetry due to painless swelling on Rt. mn body and angle region and halitosis. After some investigations, we had an operation of hemimandibulectomy with immed iate rib bon graft and long metal plate application. The results are as follows ; 1. The bony expansion from Rt. mandible body and angle region and distal migration of Rt. 3rd mlar can be seen. 2. Rt. mandibulat 2nd molar was unerupted, and #43, 44, 45, 46 tooth were no response to EPT. And #47 unerupted fingival site was slightly necrotized and inflammes. 3. If necessary, radical excision and immediate reconstruction was considered as preferred treatment method in ameloblastoma. 4. After operation, there are still masticatory and speech problems, but there are improvements in esthetic problem, intraoral halitosis, and pt's psychogenic problems.
