An induction motor operated with a conventional direct self controller(DSC) shows a sluggish response during startup and under changes of torque command. Fuzzy logic controller(FLC) is used in conjunction with DSC to minimize these problems. A FLC chooses the switching states based on a set of fuzzy variables. Flux position, error in flux magnitude and error in torque are used as fuzzy state variables. Fuzzy rules are determinated by observing the vector diagram of flux and currents. This paper proposes hybrid FLC for direct torque control(DTC) of induction motor chives. This controller is controlled speed using hybrid FLC. The performance of the proposed induction motor chive with hybrid FLC is verified by analysis results at various operation conditions.

This paper presents the new maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control of the photovoltaic(PV) module integrated converter(MIC) system considering the shadow influence. Conventional perturbation and observation(PO) and incremental conductance(IC) are the method finding MPP by the continued self-excitation vibration. The MPPT control is unable to be performed by rapid output change affected by the shadow. To solve this problem, the now control algorithm of the multi-level in which the step value changes by output change is presented. In case there are the solar radiation, a temperature and shadow influence, the presented algorithm treats and compares the conventional control algorithm and output error. In addition, the validity of the algorithm is proved through the output error response characteristics.

This paper proposes control system based on PLC for decrease power loss of solar tracking system. Tracking system is automatically tracked solar position. The power of this tracking system is fed by photovoltaic generation and it has problem efficiency decrease due to consume power of tracking system. Tracking system which controlled individually is brought power consumption due to continually feed power. Central control tracking system using PLC can be reduced power consumption more than individual tracking system because it controls a large number tracking device with one control system. Also, this paper uses two-mode tracking algorithm to improve tracking performance. The proposed algorithm is applied photovoltaic system and analyzed power and efficiency and then proved validity of this paper.

This paper proposes novel MPPT method of photovoltaic system with temperature coefficient. Conventional CV(Constant Voltage) and PO(Perturbation and Observation) methods have the weak problem about the insolation and temperature change. Thus, in this paper, in order to improve this problem, the optimal voltage and current is determined and the MPPT control is performed. MPPT algorithm proposed in this paper analyze the performance about insolation and temperature change and proves the validity.

This controller is controlled speed using hybrid fuzzy logic controller(HFLC) and estimation of speed using ANN. The performance of the proposed induction motor drive with HFLC controller and ANN is verified by analysis results at various operation conditions.

This paper proposes variable incremental conductance(IC) algorithm for maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control of photovoltaic. Conventional Perturbation & Observation(PO) and IC MPPT control algorithm generally uses fixed step size. A small fixed step size will cause the tracking speed to decrease and tracking accuracy of the MPP will decrease due to large fixed step size. Therefore, this paper proposes improved IC MPPT algorithm that adjust automatically step size according to operating conditions. To improve tracking speed and accuracy, when operating point is far from maximum power point(MPP), step size uses maximum value and when operating point is near from MPP, step size uses variable step size that adjust according to slope of P - V curve. The validity of MPPT algorithm proposed in this paper prove through compare with conventional IC MPPT algorithm.
