시대를 향한 한 시인의 노력: 브라우닝의 낙관주의 연구

Through real methodology of life, Robert Browning presents the Victorians how to think and live between life and religion. He endeavored to research human being’s life with scrutiny and sincerity in his religious poetry. His aim for this seems to find better world. Although he lives in a dark age of sudden change and insecurity, he secures his contemporary people hope and optimism. Browning shows realities of life in his optimistic poetry as well as the truth shown in Bible. Rather he gives the truth in different ways from those of Bible. In other words, he projects the rays of truth on basis of universal and vast horizon of life, beyond the biblical dogma. We can find a poet’s endeavor trying to preach final hope toward dark age through his optimistic poetry. This means that Browning has his own passionate love for not only his Victorian people but all mankind. (Howon University)

소망의 시학: 브라우닝의 「사울」 연구

Robert Browning shows us the bright nature of God through some of his works. Also he presents optimistic view of life which God would give. There can be seen hope and optimism of Christian doctrine in “Saul” and “A Death in the Desert.” In “A Grammarian's Funeral” and “Old Pictures in Florence” are found an ultimate hope for life to come and a real desire in this world. Of these works, “Saul” is most prominent in the sense that it gives the central idea of Christianity, the gospel. In the center of gospel doctrine, Jesus Christ stands. He is the way, the truth and the life, says “Saul.” Progression means hope in human life. Man hopes to be near God as well as to succeed in attaining moral aims in this world. It would not be easier to get this goal than we anticipated. Therefore, the human history is filled with conflict, frustration and distress. “Saul” points out that there cannot be any answer for improving and renewing human history except Jesus Christ. This poem is like a pious sermon about the evangelical message. By “Saul” Browning shows us that his optimism tends to depend on evangelism throughly.

종교적 삶의 모색: 클리언, 카쉬쉬, 블라우그램의 갈등

In his religious poetry, Browning analyzes man’s nature, hoping to discover some elements of the absolute which would provide a stable principle in life. The absolute, it is certain, means God in Christian sense. It is, however, hard to treat or study God in literature as well as to know God through man’s reason or understanding. Nevertheless, Browning has inquired into God in his works consistently. In this sense, Men and Women(1855) represents his works. Men and Women highlights religious problems, conflict and hope in life. This article deals with three religious poems, “Cleon,” “An Epistle, and “Bishop Blougram's apology.” This study examines the relation of man with God, focusing on his problems, skepticism and conflict in life. The trends of these, as this study shows, come from the problems of misunderstanding of God, collision between science and religion, difference between Hebraism and HelJenism(Positivism), and distance between religious idea and real life. The variety of Victorian backgrounds lie behind the problems, skepticism and conflict of Browning's hero. Browning has a good deal to say about the most troublesome religious and philosophic problems of his day, and can be presented as a teacher, a seer, a prophet. Browning’s task as a poet is to portray life in all its aspects. He sees deeply and widely into the nature of the emotional and mental complexities of personality which lies behind the situations he portrays.

A study on the environmental impact analysis of the Electronic Trade

Purpose : This study analyzed the environmental impacts of e-trade based on the national e-trade system(uTradeHub). Research design, data, methodology : The study analyzed the environmental impacts of e-trade with the life cycle assessment(LCA) of ISO 14040s for the quantitative effect analysis of its environmental impacts. In the analysis, the cases of traditional trade were compared with those of e-trade. Results : Traditional trade turned out to have very high environmental impacts across the environmental impact categories compared with e-trade. Conclusions : Traditional trade, in fact, had environmental impacts that were minimum 140 times and maximum 480 times higher than those of e-trade. There were maximum 2.4 times differences among the six scenarios of e-trade that were created based on the duration of computer use and the printing of documents. Second, the eight areas of trade work stipulated in the Electronic Trade Facilitation Act were analyzed to cut down greenhouse gases by 77,792 tons per years compared with traditional trade. 본 연구는 전자무역시스템을 이용한 무역거래 방식의 환경적 측면에서의 영향에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 분석은 전통적 무역 거래 방식과 전자무역 거래 방식을 이용하는 경우를 비교하였다. 분석 결과 전통적 무역은 전자무역에 비해 높은 환경 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 환경영향 범주를 합한 결과 전통무역은 전자무역에 비해 140배에서 최대 480배까 지 환경영향이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 환경영향 범주 중 전통적 무역과 전자무역 모두 환경영향 발생이 가장 높은 것은 지구온난화에 미치는 영향이었다. 그리고 전자무역촉진에 관한 법률에서 규정한 8개 무역 업무의 전자화는 전통적 무역거래에 비해 온실가스 감축 효과가 2014년 기준 연간 77,792톤이 감축되는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 전자무역의 환경적 측면에서의 기여도 측정과 전자무역 확산을 위한 근거로 활용할 수 있으며, 전자무역 시스템 활용 기업의 탄소 감축 활동 근거로 활용 가능할 것이다. 그리고 지금까지 제조업과 공공 부문을 중심으로 진행해온 온실가스 감축 정책을 전자무역 등 ICT를 활용한 서비스 분야로 확대하는 근거로 사용할 수 있다.

The aim of this study is to research the depressive illness presented in The Old Man and the Sea(1952) written by Ernest Hemingway(1899-1961). Why Ernest Hemingway and The Old Man and the Sea? Because the typical signs of depression appear outwardly in Hemingway's life and transmit into The Old Man and the Sea, especially the hero Santiago. While Hemingway was writing and publishing The Old Man and the Sea, he seriously suffered from depression. So we can suppose there must be influences and traces of the author's depression in this novel. In the standpoint of this, this study researches depression, mental disease found in this nove-especially through sayings, daily life of Santiago and natural surroundings around the hero. Even though the research of pathography in literature may be inferior to that of medicine, this can find an unexpected prescription and treatment about human depression. Frankly speaking, this research will be more preliminary actions than prescription and treatment. It is here that we can grasp the very message about depression which medicine can never give. In conclusion, this study will show that depression as well as other mental illness is deeply rooted in human conditions and one of the existential problems which we must overcome. 주요 FTA 상대국과의 디지털 제품 국제경쟁력 분석 -미국과 EU를 중심으로-

The study analyzes the shifts of international competition in the digital products market between South Korea and major FTA partners. The analysis utilizes trade statistics to calculate changes in the volume of trade, and in competitiveness between FTA partners. The target countries for this analysis include USA and the European Union with whom Korea has made agreements recently, and the period is set for the decade from 2000 to 2009. The trade records of the UN are employed to investigate the indexes of each country: trade structure and market share of digital products, the trade specialization index (TSI), and annual change of revealed comparative advantage index (RCA) against global market and both the American and EU markets. This analysis shows clearly the status quo of the development and growth of the international competitiveness of South Korea. The study will improve the understanding of international competitiveness in digital products and contents industry, which is rapidly evolving, and of the resulting industrial structure.

디지털 무역 규범의 변화와 주요 국가별 협정 반영 수준 분석 - TAPED DB 기반 비교 연구

This study systematically analyzes the structure and adoption levels of digital trade rules that have been increasingly emphasized in recent international trade agreements. Utilizing the TAPED database, which compiles provisions related to electronic commerce and data in major regional trade agreements since 2000, the study examines eight core issues in digital trade—namely, cross-border data flows, prohibition of source code and algorithm disclosure, data localization, privacy protection, e-payment and authentication, electronic transferable records, artificial intelligence, and fintech. It evaluates the evolution of these provisions over time and classifies them by legal strength (hard law vs. soft law). A comparative analysis is also conducted for six key countries: Korea, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. The results show that the adoption of hard law provisions has accelerated since the mid-2010s, particularly in agreements such as the DEPA and CPTPP. While Korea exhibits a high level of digital infrastructure, its adoption rate of hard law provisions remains relatively low, indicating the need for improved institutional alignment and agreement structure. This research provides empirical insights for Korea’s digital trade policy and suggests institutional implications for responding to future digital trade environments.
