Bikiwhan is one of the oriental medicines that have been used for the treatment of tumors since ancient times. However, the mechanism of the drug action is not closely surved. This study was made to investigate the effects of Bikiwhan on the innate immunity were analysed by measuring the functions of phagocytes, and those of specific immunity were analysed by measuring T and B cells activities. The followings are the results obtained from this study : 1. Bikiwhan has direct cytotoxic effects against human lymphoma cell lines(K562) in dose dependent manner. 2. An administration of Bikiwhan increased allogenic immune response in the mouse. 3. An administration of Bikiwhan increased the antibodies formation against SRBC. 4. An administration of Bikiwhan enhanced the apperance of rosette forming cells in the spleen. 5. An administration of Bikiwhan decreased the delayed-type hypersensitivity against dinitrofluorobenzene. 6. An administration of Bikiwhan has no effect on natural killer cells. 7. Bikiwhan increased the phagocyte activity of peritoneal macrophages in vitro and in in vivo as well. 8. Bikiwhan depressed the formation of reactive oxygen intermediated in vitro and in vivo as well. 9. Bikiwhan has the capacity to make peritoneal macrophages secrete nitric oxide. The above results demonstrate that Bikiwhan has enhancing effects of immune responses against tumors by decreasing tissue demages˙ caused by immune responses.

포스트모던 시대에 효과적인 목회사역에 관한 연구

우리가 살고 있는 현재의 21세기는 지난세기와 비교해 볼 때 삶들의 의식구조와 문화가 너무나도 많이 변하되었다. 이러한 급변하는 사회 속에서 한국교회도 많은 변화와 더불어 위기감이고조되고 있는 것이 현실이다. 본 논문은 21세기의 포스트모더니즘시대에 있는 한국교회의 미래를 바라보면서 효과적인 목회 사역에 관한 방향성을 제시한 것이다. 이를 위해서 먼저 포스트모더니즘의 특성 및 문화와 종교와의 관계를 살펴볼 것이다. 그리고 다음으로는 포스트모더니즘의 영향아래에 있는 한국교회를 위하여 몇 가지의 사고의 전환을 제시하였다. 교회의 형태나 교회리더십, 예배와 전도 및 선교에 대한 패러다임의 변화를 통해 한국회의 활성화를 모색하기 위함이다. 그리고 마지막으로는 구체적으로 실천신학적 관점에서 포스트모던시대의 한국교회를 위한 사역의 방향성을 제시하였다. 그것은 하나님의 말씀을 생활화하는 공동체를 만들어가는 것, 전 교인들로 하여금 하나님의 사역에 동참하게 하는 것, 교회가 살아있는 영성을 통하여 축제의 장소가 되게 하는 것, 섬기는 지도자로서의 리더십을 개발하는 것, 말씀과 성만찬을 통해 하나님의 임재를 경험하게 하는 것, 그리고 마지막으로는 하나님 중심의 삶을 강조하는 예배 공동체를 만들어 가는 것이다. 여기에서 제안한 실천적 방안들이 각자의 교회에서 효과적으로 사역이 이루어져서 급변하는 시대 속에서 건강한 교회로 활성화되고 아름답게 성장되어서 하나님 나라가 확장될 수 있기를 기대한다. If comparing the past eras with the present 21st century, there is a vast difference in our mindset and culture. Within our abruptly changing society, the Korean church is experiencing change which is leading to a higher level of anxiety. This thesis of post-modern era ministry is focused on the most effective approach of ministry for the future. To accomplish this, one must look at the characteristics of the post-modern era and the relationship between religion and society's culture. Furthermore, possible solutions are examined to solve the problems of the Korean church that is influenced by the post-modern era. The revitalization of the church must be achieved through a paradigm shift of the church's structure, leadership, worship, and ministry. Finally, through a detailed approach from the the practical theology perspective, the direction of ministry of the Korean church in the post-modern era is examined. This approach consists of creating a community that shows that the word of God lives through them, all of the believers participating in God's ministry, creating a festive atmosphere at the church as a result of the holy spirit, developing leadership as leaders of the organization, experiencing that God is alive and with us through learning God's word, and focusing on God as the most essential aspect in one's life and furthermore the center of the entire church. Within this changing era, through these suggestions of practice, every church can be healthy and grow to expand God's world.

Variation in Solar Limb Darkening Coefficient Estimated from Solar Images Taken by SOHO and SDO

The sun is not equally bright over the whole sphere, but rather is darkened toward the limb. This effect is well-known as limb darkening. The limb darkening coefficient is defined by the ratio of the center intensity to limb intensity. In this study, we calculate the limb darkening coefficient using the photospheric intensity estimated from solar images taken by solar and helispheric observatory (SOHO) and solar dynamics observatory (SDO). The photospheric intensity data cover almost two solar cycles from May 1996 to December 2016. The limb darkening coefficient for a size of 0.9 diameter is about 0.69 and this value is consistent with solar limb darkening. The limb darkening coefficient estimated from SOHO shows a temporal increase at solar maximum and a gradual increase since the solar minimum of 2008. The limb darkening coefficient estimated from SDO shows a constant value of about 0.65 and a decreasing trend since 2014. The increase in the coefficient reflects the effect of weakened solar activity. However, the decrease since 2014 is caused by the aging effect.

목회와 리더십은 서로 뗄래야 뗄 수 없는 연결고리이다. 왜냐하면 목회 사역이 곧 리더십의 행위이기 때문이다. 그러한 면에서 목회의 위기는 리더십의 위기이고 리더십의 위기는 곧 목회의 위기라고 해도 과언이 아니다. 수많은 사람들이 이구동성으로 한국교회의 현 상황과 미래에 대하여 염려하고 있다고 고백하고 있다. 따라서 대학 강단에서 실천신학을 가르치는 교수로서, 군인 교회를 섬기는 민간인 군목으로서 미래 한국교회를 바라보며 위기의식을 갖게 되었기에 본 연구를 하게 되었다. 필자는 먼저 이 연구에서 목회와 리더십의 본질을 논하기로 한다. 목회와 리더십의 본질은 먼저 목자는 양을 알아야 한다는 것(성도를 이해하는 일, 사회를 이해하는 일, 교회환경을 이해하는 일)이다. 그리고 양을 먹이는 일(먹이는 양식)과 양을 인도하는 일(목자의 신실성)과 양을 보호하는 일 (세속화, 이단세력, 혼합주의로 부터 보호)을 하는 것이다. 다음으로는 목회와 리더십의 실천에 대하여 연구해 보고자 한다. 그것은 (1)성육신적 영성으로 신앙을 삶으로 연결하는 지도력, (2) 시간관리를 통한 삶의 우선순위를 인도하는 지도력, (3) 평신도들을 훈련하여 모든 성도들을 동역자로 세우는 지도력, (4) 섬김을 통한 영향력을 발휘하는 지도력, (5) 멘토링을 통한 차세대지도자를 길러내는 지도력, (6) 비전을 통한 미래의 방향성을 제시해주는 지도력이다. 한국교회의 위기가 온 것은 사실이지만 그것은 우리에게 기회가 주어졌다는 의미이며 새로운 사명을 부여받은 것이다. 우리가 믿는 하나님을 목자로 삼고 그의 인도하심을 받으며 우리에게 주어진 사역 현장에서 예수님처럼 신실한 참 목자가 되기를 다짐하는 목자가 있는 한 한국교회의 미래는 밝고 희망적이다. Ministry and leadership are inextricably linked to each other. That is, pastoral ministry is an act of leadership. Thus, it is within bounds to say that the crisis of ministry is the crisis of leadership and vice versa. Many unanimously concede that they are concerned about the status quo and the future of Korean churches. As a professor of Practical Theology and civilian army chaplain serving a military church, researcher came to perceive crisis for Korean churches into the future, which has motivated the research of this paper. This research first discuss the essence of ministry and leadership. The nature of ministry and leadership lies in a herdsman’s understanding of his sheep, i.e., understanding of church members, societies, and church environments. Then he has to feed the sheep (food), guide them (herdsmen’s sincerity), and protect them (protection from secularization, heresies, and syncretism). In the next place, this research deal with practice of ministry and leadership. It consists of (1) leadership that links faith to life via incarnational spirituality, (2) leadership that helps to set priorities of life through time management, (3) leadership that trains all church members and make them fellow workers, (4) leadership that exerts influence through service, (5) leadership that uprears the next generation of leaders via mentoring, and (6) leadership that presents future directions through vision. It is true that Korean churches are faced with crisis, which also means that we are given a chance and a new mission. As long as there are herdsmen who make God the shepherd while guided by Him, and resolve to become honest and true shepherds, just like Jesus, at their assigned ministry sites, the future of Korean churches is bright and hopeful.

인류 역사가운데서 물질이나 돈은 언제나 필요하며 삶의 중요한 수단으로 존재하여 왔다. 그러나 많은 부분에서 그것들은 인간의 행복을 가져다주기 보다는 가정이나 사회에 불행이나 환난을 불러일으켜 왔다. 심지어는 오늘날 하나님을 섬기는 교회 공동체내에서도 물질 문제로 많은 문제점들이 야기되어 사회에 덕이 되지 못하고 비난을 받는 경우가 종종 생기게 되었다. 이러한 인식하에 본 연구를 통해 그리스도인들의 청지기적인 삶을 논하고 그것을 위해 교회의 목회자들이 어떻게 성도들에게 헌금에 관한 설교를 할 것인가에 대하여 방향성을 제시하려고 하였다. 그리스도인은 위탁받은 청지기로서 어떻게 돈과 물질을 관리하며 또 그것을 어떻게 사용할 것인가를 배우기 위해서 성경적인 물질관을 정립하고 헌금의 분명한 의미를 깨닫게 한다. 또한 물질적 부에 대한 유혹과 위험을 가르치고 성도들로 하여금 자족하는 생활을 하게 한다. 더 나아가서는 영원한 곳에 보물을 쌓아가게 한다.헌금에 대한 설교를 위하여 성경 전체를 골고루 강해 설교하도록 하며, 인내심을 가지고 청지기 훈련을 하고 교회가 헌금을 어떻게 사용할 것인가를 투명하게 제시하여 헌금하도록 동기를 부여한다. 또한 목회자가 성도들에게 본이 되는 삶을 살도록 한다.마지막으로 헌금에 대한 효과적인 설교를 위해서는 헌금이 예배의 한 필수 요소임을 깨닫게 하고 성도로 하여금 헌금을 드리는 태도가 중요함을 일깨워야 한다. 그래서 헌금을 의무감이나 죄책감에서 드리지 않도록 하되 피하지 말고 담대하게 설교하라. 또한 성도들로 하여금 헌금을 통해 하나님의 사역에 동참하게 하고 하나님의 약속과 성격적 보상에 대하여 분명하게 전달하도록 하라. 그러기 위하여 목회자가 누구보다도 성경적인 물질관을 통한 청지기적 삶의 원리를 깨달아 스스로 실천하고 그것을 성도들에게 어떻게 훈련해야 할 것인가를 분명하게 가르치고 설교해야 할 것이다. Throughout the history of mankind, material or money has always been an indispensible and important means for living. However it has not brought happiness but caused misery or distress, both in home and society. As it has created much trouble in even a God-serving church community, and spoiled credibility, there are often criticisms from society. Recognizing this viewpoint, this study discusses the life of stewardship and tries to suggest the desirable direction of church preaching about material things and money.The study views the matter from a Biblical standpoint and clarifies the meaning of collection, so as to let Christians learn how to treat and use possessions as trusted stewards. It also leads saints to live a self-sufficient life and teach them about the temptation and danger of material wealth. Furthermore, it guides them to lay up their treasure in Heaven. It helps preachers to give an expository sermon on materialism through the whole biblical text, to undergo stewardship training with patience, to present clearly the method of using how church collection, and to give a motivation for offering. Also, it persuades ministers to live as an example for the saints.Lastly, for an effective sermon on collection, saints are supposed to know that offering is an essential part of worship and offering attitude is very important. Therefore, preachers need to give a sermon on the collection without hesitation and encourage members not to give their offering with a sense of duty and guilty conscience. Always church visitors and non-believers have the freewill to give their offering as they wish.Preachers should deliver definitely the message of God's promise and the biblical reward and lead the saints to participate in godly ministry through their offering. To accomplish this, ministers need to understand the principles of stewardship life through biblical viewpoint of material thing, to practice this view himself, and to teach and preach clearly how the saints are to train themselves.
