Thermal fatigue, which leads to cracks and possible failure in high loaded engine, is a new challenge in modem engine development. Thus, an accurate thermomechanical fatigue analysis is a key to a successful life prediction of an engine assembly. However, due to many constraints, especially cost effectiveness and develop time reduction, simulation techniques are needed to substitute for thermal fatigue tests. ALCF(Low Cycle Fatigue) analysis is the most qualified simulation method to accurately predict the thermal fatigue. A transient heat transfer method has been developed to give boundary conditions to LCF analysis and also a LCF analysis is performed and validated with test results.
