We synthesized thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) with different contents of sulfuric acid group, and characterized their physical properties such as mechanical, thermal and grip properties. And the results were compared with carboxylic acid-introduced TPU. Wet slip, tensile strength and abrasion properties were increased by the introduction of acid group. Mechanical properties increased with increasing the acid content up to 0.3 wt%. However, wet slip was continually increased as the acid content increased due to increase of hydrophilicity of TPU.
비외상성 병원 밖 심정지 환자에서 COVID-19 대유행 전후의 심정지 종결 사유 분석

Objective: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic saw rising cases of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests. In addition, there was an increase in the number of cardiac arrest terminations. This study analyzes the 3-year status (2018 to 2020) of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest resuscitation terminations. Methods: This study is a retrospective observational study based on the diary of 119 first aid activities in the Seoul area. Factors analyzed included patient demographics, history, location of occurrence, witness status, cause of cardiac arrest, electrocardiogram rhythm, reasons for cardiac arrest termination, and hospital transfer. Data obtained from the periods January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2019 (defined as the pre_COVID-19 period) and from January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020 (defined as the COVID-19 period) were compared and analyzed. Results: There was an increase in the number of terminated resuscitation cases during the study period. Most cases were elderly men with chronic disease who underwent asystole arrest at home. The reasons for the termination of resuscitation were obvious evidence of death, refusal of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) by the guardian, medical guidance, and cessation of prior life-sustaining treatment. During the COVID-19 pandemic, clear evidence of death and refusal of CPR by caregivers were statistically and significantly increased. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate a rise in the number of cases subjected to termination of resuscitation during the COVID-19 period. It is, therefore, necessary to find a way to improve this situation.
Acid Group이 도입된 Casting 폴리우레탄 탄성체의 접착 및 기계적 물성에 관한 연구

Acid group을 도입하여 접착 및 그립성이 향상된 casting 폴리우레탄을 합성하였다. 폴리우 레탄의 그립 특성 및 접착 특성을 확인하였고, 접촉각 및 인장강도, 기계적 물성 등을 연구하였다. Acid 함량에 따른 특성들을 조사하기 위해 acid 함량별로 경화제를 제조하여 각각의 특성들을 연구 하였다. Acid group을 도입함으로써 접착력 및 wet slip이 증가하는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 인장강도 및 마모 등 기계적 물성 또한 증가하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. Acid 함량별로 물성을 측정한 결과 일정한 함량까지 기계적 물성은 증가하며, 일정 함량 이상에서는 기계적 물성 및 접착력이 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. Wet slip과 접촉각의 경우에는 acid group 도입에 의해 친수성이 증가함으로 acid 함량이 증가할수록 wet slip은 증가하며 접촉각의 경우에는 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. We synthesized polyurethane elastomer containing acid groups. We measured the adhesion, grip, tensile strength and mechanical properties. Casting polyurethane elastomers were prepared with the contents of acid. The adhesive strength and the wet slip were increased. Also, the tensile strength and abrasion properties were increased. We measured the properties with different acid contents. Increasing the acid content, the mechanical properties were increased. But the mechanical properties were decreased above 0.20 wt% of acid content. The wet slip was increased and the contact angle was decreased as the acid content increased.
1액 경화형 하이브리드 폴리우레탄 탄성체의 열적, 물리적 특성에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 blocked isocyanate와 하이브리드 기술을 이용해서 1액 경화형 폴리우레탄 탄성체를 제조하였다. 1액 경화형 하이브리드 폴리우레탄의 제조를 위해서 hydroxyl group을 포함하는 실리카 하이브리드를 합성하고 입자크기, 형태 및 탄성체 내의 하이브리드 입자분포를 확인하였다. 또한, 열해리특성, 기계적 물성, 성형특성을 조사하였다. 1액 경화형 폴리우레탄 탄성체의 열해리 특성을 평가한 결과 온도가 높을수록, 열처리 시간이 길어질수록 blocking된 isocyanate의 해리가 더 잘 진행되었다. 합성된 실리카 하이브리드는 직경이 23~27 nm이고 구형이었으며 하이브리드 폴리우레탄의 단면을 FE-SEM과 EDS를 사용해서 분석한 결과 하이브리드 입자가 폴리우레탄 분자구조 내에 잘 분산되어있는 것을 확인하였다. 하이브리드 폴리우레탄의 경우에는 하이브리드를 포함하지 않는 폴리우레탄 탄성체에 비해 기계적물성, 내마모성 및 열적특성이 향상되었으며 가소제를 사용하는 경우에는 물성의 변화가 거의 없는 것으로 확인되었다. In this study, the one-component curable polyurethane resin was manufactured using blocked isocyanate and hybrid technology. To prepare the one-component curable hybrid polyurethane, silica hybrids including hydroxyl group was synthesized, and the size, shape and distribution of hybrid particle in polyurethane resin were confirmed. Then the dissociation property, mechanical property and molding property of blocked isocyanate were investigated. The dissociation property of blocked isocyanate in one-component curable polyurethane became better as the heating temperature and treatment time increased. The synthesized silica hybrid had spherical appearance and size of 23~27 nm in diameter, and it was observed that the hybrid particles were homogeneously distributed in polyurethane structure. In the case of hybrid polyurethane, the mechanical property, anti-abrasion and thermal property were higher than those of general polyurethane, and it was observed that the mechanical property was maintained when the plasticizer was introduced.
