        건강 비임신 여성과 임신부들의 혈청 총코레스테롤 함량에 관한 조사

        모성보건관리대책수립을 위한 기초자료를 제공할 목적으로 부산지역에 거주하는 $20{\sim}30$세 사이의 건강한 비임신 여성 167명과 임신부 209명을 대상으로 혈청총코레스테롤 함량과 이에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 생리적 제 인자간의 관련성을 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 건강여성군과 임신부간에 체중의 증가에 따른 Broca's index의 상승을 제외할 신장, 수축기 및 이완기혈압치에는 큰 차이가 없었다. 2. 건강여성군의 혈청총코레스테롤함량은 165.9 mg/dl, 임신부는 212.6 mg/dl로서 유의한 차이가 있었으나 연령에 따른 차이는 관찰할 수 없었으며 함량별 분포양상은 양자 모두 정규분포형을 나타내었다. 3. 건강여성군에서는 혈청총코레스테롤함량과 체중 및 Broca's index간에 임신부에서는 체중, Broca's index 및 임신기간간에 통계적으로 유의한 상관성이 있었다. 4. 체중별 혈청총코레스테롤함량은 건강여성군은 $162.9{\sim}189.4mg/dl$, 임신부는 $167.2{\sim}246.2mg/dl$로서 체중이 증가됨에 따라 그치도 증가되는 경향이 있었으며 특히 임신부의 경우에 더욱 현저하였다. 5. 임신기간별 혈청총코레스테롤함량은 12주이하군 168.1 mg/dl, $13{\sim}26$주군 209.6 mg/dl, 27주이상군 235.4 mg/dl로서 임신이 진행됨에 따라 그 치도 높아지는 경향이 있었으며 함량별분포양상은 모두 정규분포형을 나타내었다. The author investigated the values of total serum cholesterol and its coreelation with the physical factors to have potential as a line in the chain of basic investigation to establish maternal health program. The study group was composed of 167 healthy non-pregnant and 209 pregnant women in the age of 20-39 residing in Pusan area. The obtained results were as follows : 1. No significant differences were found in height and systolic and diastolic blood pressure in both groups except for the elevation of Broca's index by gaining the weight in pregnant women. 2. There were significant differences in the total serum cholesterol level of the healthy and pregnant women as 165.9 mg/dl and 212.6 mg/dl, repectively, not showing the differences in the age. Total serum cholesterol values in both group followed approximately normal distribution curve. 3. The significant correlation to the values of total serum cholesterol were found between weight and Broca's index in healthy women and between weight, Broca's index and duration of pregnancy in pregnant women. 4. The values of total serum cholesterol by weight were 162.9-189.4 mg/dl in healthy women and 167.2-246.2 mg/dl in pregnant women, showing the increasing tendency of values by weight, especially in pregnant women. 5. The values of total serum cholesterol in pregnant women showed increasing tendency with the duration of pregnancy as 168.1 mg/dl in 12 weeks and below, 209.6 mg/dl in 13-26 weeks and 235.4 mg/dl in 27 weeks and above group. Total nm cholesterol values by duration of pregnancy followed normal distribution curve.

        복합유기용제 폭로근로자의 혈액상변화에 관한 조사

        The purpose of this study is to evaluate the hematological changes of workers exposed to mixed organic solvents and to search the organic solvent that bring out these changes. The study participants were 1,605 workers, consisting 1,088 workers (male 989, female 99) exposed to mixed organic solvents and 517 non-exposed workers (male 431, female 86). The authors analyzed the results of complete blood count and differential count of leukocytes of all the workers and examined all of the material safety data sheets of substances with which they dealt and the results of their working environmental surveys during the last 3 years. The results were as follows: 1. The mean values of complete blood count in workers exposed to mixed organic solvents were lower than that of non-exposed workers in WBC, RBC, hemoglobin and hematocrit in cases of male and RBC, hemoglobin and hematocrit in cases of female, but the mean value of platelet count in male exposed workers and WBC count in female exposed workers were higher than those of non-exposed workers. 2. The distribution of differential count of leukocytes showed no difference between exposed workers and non-exposed workers. 3. The correlation coefficients between age and duration of employment and WBC showed statistically a positive value and that between age and duration of employment and RBC, hemoglobin, hematocrit showed a statistically negative value in cases of male exposed to mixed organic solvents. But in cases of female there was no statistical correlation between them. 4. In cases of male the proportions of workers with subnormal levels of WBC, RBC, hemoglobin, hematocrit and platelet according to the standard of classification were higher than those of non-exposed workers. The proportions of exposed workers were 3.6%, 18.6%, 5.3%, 32.7% and 1.4% respectively and those of non-exposed workers were 2.8%, 10.7%, 2.1%, 13.9% and 0.2% respectively. 5. In cases of female the proportion of workers with subnormal levels of RBC, hemoglobin and hematocrit according to the standard of classification were higher than those of non-exposed workers. The proportion of exposed workers were 42.4%, 55.6% and 41.4% respectively and those of non exposed workers were 10.5%, 11.6% and 8.1% respectively. 6. The number of substances with which workers exposed to mixed organic solvents dealt were about 500, and 22 organic solvents such as xylene, toluene, isopropyl alcohol, 2-ethoxyethanol and 2-ethoxy ethyl acetate were main components of substances according to the material safety data sheet and working environmental surveys during the last 3 years. The authors suspect 2-ethoxyethanol and 2-ethoxy ethyl acetate of the organic solvents, which bring out the hematological changes of workers exposed to mixed organic solvents. As a result of this study, the authors confirmed the hematological changes of workers exposed to mixed organic solvents and recommend : strict management of working environment, working time and the protective equipments of workers exposed to mixed organic solvents.

        유기용제로 인한 빈혈의 유형

        The purpose of this study is whether we can presuppose the correlation between some type of anemia and exposure to organic solvents using some hematologic index such as MCV, RDW and MCHC. The authors conducted the hematological examination of 160 male workers who were exposed organic solvents and those of 167 control workers. The type of anemia was slightly macrocytic anemia, and the RDW was generally homogenous in workers exposed to organic solvents whereas those of control were normocytic and homogenous.

        연취급 근로자들의 면역능의 변동에 관한 조사

        Lead induced immunological responses were examined in 16 workers who were occupationally exposed to lead, and 8 healthy meadical students who did not have previous history of lead exposure. The proportion of OKT3+ cell, OKT4+ cell, OKT8+ cell, B cell to the total lymphocytes in peripheral blood and the ratio of OKT4+ cell to OKT8+ cell(OKT4/OKT8) were used to assess the immunological effects. The results were summarized as follows ; 1. In the lead workers, blood lead (21.7 ±7.6㎍/100㎖), zinc protoporphyrin (53.1 ±29.9㎍/100㎖) and urinary lead (54.8 ±17.7㎍/ℓ) were significantly higher than those of the nonexposed subjects (p<0.01). 2. The proportion of OKT3+ cell, OKT4+ cell and OKT4+/OKT8+ were lower in lead workers compared to nonexposed subjects. But this difference was not statistically significant (p>0.1). 3. The proportion of B cell was slightly higher in lead workers compared to nonexposed subjects (P=0.15). 4. The proportion of OKT8+ cell of lead workers was comparable to that of nonexposed subjects.

        조선작업장의 분진크기에 관한 조사

        진폐증발생에 관계되는 분진의 크기별 분진농도를 측정하고자 용접공진폐증이 발생된 울산의 모 조선회사에서 용접만 하는 작업장 14개소, 용접 및 그라인더, 절단, 블라스팅, 금속가공 등 혼합 작업장 32개소, 용접을 하지 않는 작업장 25개소 총 71개소를 대상으로 분진크기별로 분진의 채집이 가능한 Anderson 공기시료채집기를 이용하여 분진크기별 분진농도와 분진비율을 조사하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 각 작업장간의 분진크기별 분진농도는 대수정규 분포를 했으며 각 작업장의 분진의 기하평균치는 각각 $0.877mg/m^3,\;1.346mg/m^3,\;1.145mg/m^3$으로서 통계적으로 서로 차이가 없었으며 $0.43\sim4.7{\mu}m$ 분진농도가 각 작업장별로 각각 $0.395mg/m^3,\;0.491mg/m^3,\;0.364mg/m^3$으로 서로 차이가 없었다. 2. 분진크기별로 전체 분진농도에 대한 비율은 용접만 하는 작업장은 $1.1\sim0.65{\mu}m$ 크기의 분진이 제일 많았고 다음이 $0.43{\mu}m$이하, $11.0{\mu}m$이상, $0.65\sim0.43{\mu}m$ 크기순이었는데 반해 용접과 다른 작업을 동시에 하는 작업장과 용접을 하지 않는 작업장은 $11.0{\mu}m$이상의 분진의 비율이 제일 높고 다음이 $0.43{\mu}m$이하의 분진의 비율이 높았다. 그러나 $0.43\sim4.7{\mu}m$ 크기의 분진 비율은 용접만 하는 작업장은 48.5%, 용접과 다른 작업을 동시에 하는 작업장은 42.4%, 용접을 하지 않는 작업장은 35.6%로 통계적으로 서로 차이가 없었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 조선작업장의 경우 각 작업장에서 폭로되는 분진종류는 서로 다를 수 있으나 분진 크기별 분포와 농도는 작업종류에 관계없이 거의 비슷한 것으로 사료된다. To obtain the basic information that can be used as a factor for explaining the diversity of welders' pneumoconiosis, the authors measured the concentrations of dust according to the size of dust in 71 workplaces of a shipyard where welders' pneumoconiosis have occurred. The concentrations of dust according to the size of dust showed no difference between workplaces regardless of kinds of work.

        용접근로자의 비중격천공 증례

        Six cases of nasal septum perforation were found among welders during periodic physical checkup in 1997. Considering the size, shape and margin, the perforations were assumed to have been occurred several years before of which the diameter were 8∼15mm. To investigate the cause of perforation, we reviewed the past history of preemployment, the results of annual working environment survey and the material safety data sheets of welding rods and steels with which they have dealt, and analyzed the concentration of several metals of welding fume and the concentration of blood and urinary chromium. In the result, we presupposed that the nasal septum perforations of welders were due to chronic exposure to low level hexavalent chromium and/or nickel, and report these cases with literatures review.

        유기용제 취급근로자들의 요중대사물질과 말초임파구 자매염색분체교환 발현빈도에 관한 조사연구

        저자들은 유기용제 취급여성근로자 90명을 대상으로 1988년 7월부터 1989년 8월까지 말초혈액임파구에서의 자매염색분체교환의 발현빈도를 조사하고 이들의 업종, 근속연수, 요중마뇨산 농도등이 자매염색분체교환의 발현빈도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였으며 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 유기용제 취급근로자들의 말초혈액임파구에서의 자매염색분체교환의 발현빈도는 대조군에 비하여 유의하게 증가되었다. 2. 말초혈액임파구에서의 자매염색분체교환의 발현빈도가 가장 높은 업종은 프라스틱제품 제조업이었다. 3. 근속연수가 말초혈액임파구에서의 자매염색분체교환의 발현빈도에 미치는 영향은 현저하지 않았다. 4. 요중마뇨산농도와 말초혈액임파구에서의 자매염색분체교환의 발현빈도간에는 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. In order to know the possibility of utilizing the sister chromatid exchanges as an index which could evaluate the effect of organic solvents on the health in industrial workers, the authors studied the effects of the inductivity of sister chromatid exchanges in peripheral lymphocytes from 90 female workers expoxed to organic solvents and 20 non-exposed female workers. The results obtained were as follows : 1. The frequency of sister chromatid exchanges in peripheral lymphocytes from 90 female workers exposed to organic solvents was significantly increased in comparison with 20 control subject. 2. The frequency of sister chromatid exchanges was significantly increased in the workers who were employed in the manufacture of plastic materials than the other manufactures. 3. There were no significant differences in the frequency of sister chromatid exchanges by carriers of the exposed workers.

        울산 공단지역 초등학생들의 요중 비소, 카드뮴, 아연 농도에 관한 연구

        저자들은 울산 공단지역 인근 초등학교 학생들의 요중 비소, 카드뮴, 아연 등 3 개 중금속 농도를 측정하여 초등학생들 의 건강관리를 위한 기초자료를 얻고 또 한 우리나라 소아들의 요중 중금속 농도에 대한 참고치를 알아보기 위해 공단지역 초등학교 학생 348명(남자 182명, 여자 166명) 교외지역 초등학교 학생 100명(남자 50망 여자 50명)을 대상으로 본 연구를 시도하였다. 그 결과는 다음과같다. 1. 조사대상 초등학생들의 요중 비소, 카드뮴, 아연의 기하평균 농도는 각각 3.69, 0.99, $282.49{\mu}g/l$ 이었다. 2. 조사대상 초등학생들의 요중 크레아티닌량으로 보정한 요중 비소, 카드뮴, 아연의 기하평균 농도는 각각 3.92, 1.05, $299.92{\mu}g/g$ creatinine이었다. 3. 공단지역의 초등학생들의 요중 비소 및 카드뮴 농도는 교외지역 초등학교 학생들보다 통계적으로 유의하게 높았다 (p<0.0l). 이상의 결과로 볼 때 공단지역 초등학생은 교외지역 초등학생에 비해 비소, 카 드뮴 등 중금속 폭로량이 많은 것으로 사료되며 향후 공단지역 공장들에 대한 유해인자의 방출 억제 및 개선대책과 함께 공단지역 초등학교 주변의 중금속 등 환경 유해요인의 주기적 측정 등이 필요한 것으로 사료된다. Objectives. We conducted this study to obtain basic data of urinary levels of arsenic, cadmium, and zinc in children of Ulsan industrial area and to evaluate the difference in urinary levels of these metals between industrial area and suburban area. Methods. The study subjects were composed of 348(male 182, female 166) school children residing in industrial area and 100(male 50, female 50) school children of suburban area. We analyzed urinary levels of arsenic, cadmium, and zinc using atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Results. The geometric means of urinary level of arsenic, cadmium, and zinc of study participants were 3.69, 0.99, $282.49{\mu}g/l$ respectively. The adjusted geometric means of urinary levels of arsenic, cadmium, and zinc of study participants were 3.92, 1.05, $299.92{\mu}g/g$ creatinine respectively. Conclusions. The children residing in industrial area had the higher urinary levels of arsenic and cadmium than suburban children with statistical significance(p<0.01).
