Recently, studies on traditional market are actively being conducted. The purpose of this study was to find methods of revitalization for urban commerce/tratidional market through case analysis on Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and the results are as follows. For revitalization of deteriorated traditional market, understanding the problems and transformation of awareness on given conditions of urban spaces must first be achieved, and there must be an opportunity in which newly created social sympathy can be converted into framing of plans to overcome the current situation. Securing of rationality in market management and regional human resource are most important points in revitalization of tratidional market.
Space syntax is a set of techniques for the analysis of spatial configurations of all kinds, especially where spatial configuration seems to be a significant aspect of human affairs, as it is in buildings and cities. In this paper, the spatial characters of Chungju National University Campus were analysed in 3 time series. The result of this research wsa summarized as follows. Concentration to campus center area is serious and by topographical factor construction of new building and network that connecting center and outer area is difficult. So, it will be desirable that focus in detailed space improvement work such as subspace development, control of walk space ect. And Space syntax will be used as effective guideline in future planning work.
This study is a study to determine the spatial structure of the city before the urbanization of the modern form of progress by using Kwangmu Yangan(1902) the land register created in Korean Empire era. The study is conducted with the aim to identify the spatial structures of the eupseong periphery more clearly and the possibility of a variety of analytical methods as a follow-up study of a previous study Chungju Eupseong(Ryu, 2013). The spatial scope of this study is Bukbyeon-Myeon Nery zone located on the north side of the Chungju Eupseong north gate. The results of the research as follows : First, the location of the north gate and the north side of the castle were more clearly identified. Second, the street network system and the Land Use Characteristics of Nery zone were estimated. And for the study on the relation of land ownership and housing understanding of the socioeconomic characteristics should be followed.
In this study, the names of rivers in the Dalcheon basin were studied. Current names of streams and past names were compared and analyzed. Based on the origin of the name of the stream, the stream name type was divided and the direction for improvement of the name of the stream was proposed. The name of the river reflects its natural characteristics in the river basin, from its source to its point of merging into higher rivers. It is desirable to use it as a village name and administrative name. In some cases, the name of a composite name in the administrative name is not suitable for use as the name of a river. In case of Gam-cheon, Ssang-cheon, and Yodo-cheon, which are classified as others in the stream name type of this study, it is deemed necessary to conduct individual research on the name of the river.
In this research, analyzed change trend of Chungju's population scale, structure of population by age and population distribution dividing by City region and Country region. Analysis result are as following. Population change trend of the whole country is summarized by slowdown of population increase rate and sudden progress of graying. Chungju's population scale have repeated population fluctuation and the duality of population change increasing in city region vs. decreasing in country region is standing out. Analyzing from viewpoint of component ratio by age class, inhomogeneity of city region and country region is growing. In the viewpoint of urban planning and administration policy of Chungju, with strengthening of confrontation strategy about advanced age society the trend of the whole country, changing of policies such as following are needed. First, in city region, the weight of policy should be changed from urban district extension to revitalization of existing urban area. Second, domiciliation function strengthening project in country region should be emphasized.
The pedestrian space in campus is not the simple moving space but the central place of campus life as meeting, rest, information exchange, exhibition and performance etc. But in the process of campus enlargement the functions and spatial range of the pedestrian space are reduced by vehicle space. From this point of view, the purpose of this study is to redesign present pedestrian space in campus. This study intents to figure out the spatial structure of chungju university campus in the respect of pedestrian and vehicle movement using space syntax theory. Integration and Intelligibility, major index of space syntax theory, were used as design parameters. The concept of pedestrian axis and the possibility of pedestrian space extension were analyzed. As a result three stage of alternatives were proposed.
In this study, Cadastral Map created in 1914-1915 were used to identify scale and spatial structure characteristics of Chungju. To compare with the current cadastralmap, total 381 Original Cadastral Maps of Chungju region were computerized. Through comparison of the road-water system and lots distribution, the present spatial structure of Chungju could be understood that it based on the natural element and the structure of 1914's. Overlapping the past and the present of building site, the boundary of Urban Regeneration in Chungju central area could be identified. These findings are expected to be used as the basis of Chungju city regeneration
In this study, yang-an data created in 1902 were used to identify scale and spatial structure characteristics of Chungju Eupseong at that time. First, the information was classified. Second, mapped to compare with the current map. Third, the location of the walls and the gates were identified. And finaly the road system and the land use characteristics of Chungju Eupsseong could be estimated.
The nature of the discussion regarding place names is whether we use proper place names. A thorough review of whether the place names currently in use have been misrepresented or misused should be preceded. The subject site of this study is Noeun-myeon, Chungju. This study analyzed place names of Noeon in chronological order. 「Yeojidoseo」(1759), 「Hoseo-eupji」(1871), 「Chungbuk-eupji」(1898) and 「Yangan」(1902) in the Chosun Dynasty, Chosun Jiji(1910s) and topographic maps(1918) drawn up in the Japanese occupation, officially announced place names(1961) were analyzed. Although there are characteristics and limitations of each data, these analysis processes were eventually called Korean names expressed in Chinese in official documents of the Joseon Dynasty, and the names, which were then called Korean, became Chinese from the Japanese perspective. And there has been a constant change in the re-Koreanization of place names made in Chinese characters. As a result, it is deemed that the study of place names using 「Yangan」 with the most names reviewed in this study should be preceded.
In this research, analyzed population change trend of latest 10 years of Chungju from viewpoint of natural and social factor. Compared Chungju's population change characteristics by comparing Chungju's population change trend with Chungchong-bukdo and our country whole population change trend. Analytical results are as following. First, it is thing by change trend of the whole country that latest Chungju's population increases. But, the change is slight than whole country and Chungchong-bukdo. Second, when see as change of structure of population by age, graying tendency of Chungju is progressing faster than whole country and Chungchong-bukdo. So, as for Chungju, disadvantage is added in increase of population. Third, when compare natural increase level of population, natural increase element of population of Chungju was reduced by about 1/4 level during analysis period.
