Self-cleaning coating on the exterior walls of the buildings and furnitures has been studied to develop its materials and processes. Particularly Fat-soluble contaminants such as pollutions are difficult to be cleaned using simple water. Potassium silicate-based materials for eco-friendly self-cleaning coating were selected in this study. Atmospheric pressure plasma treatment of the 220 mesh abraded stainless steel plate was carried out before coating. No significant change before and after plasma treatment was observed. Coating material reduced the surface roughness abruptly to less than 0.5㎛. With reducing potassium content in potassium silicate and increasing the annealing time, the hardness was found to be increased. Bending test resulted in seperation of 30~40% of the coating surface. It was found out that the coating adhesion increased with increasing silicon content in potassium silicate and increasing the heat treatment time. Conclusively, it was found out that process technology of eco-friendly self-cleaning coating was feasible.
FT-IR/ATR을 이용한 실리콘 웨이퍼 기판 위의 Polydimethylsiloxane의 분석 연구

Since the polydimethylsiloxane material, as one of silicone polymers, has a very profound potential for its electronic applications, its concentration must be measured to very extremely low level accurately. In this study, it was investigated with FT-IR/ATR(Fourier Transformation of InfraRed Light/Attenuated Total Reflection). Polydimethylsiloxane emulsion, diluted, with deionized water, was applied onto the silicon wafer surface, dried and then measured with FT-IR/ATR. Dilution was observed and quantified below 0,1 ppm level with FT-IR/ATR. In conclusion, FT-IR/ATR was realized as one of best analytical measurements to quantify concentration down to very low levels of polydimethylsiloxane, and even as the very ease and convenient tool for it.
