        폴리에틸렌 중공사막에 Vinyl Benzyl Trimethyl Ammonium Chloride 의 방사선 공중합

        마이크로 여과용 다공성 폴리에틸렌 중공사막에 vinyl benzyl trimethy ammonium chloride(VBTAC)를 방사선 그라프트하여 음이온교환막을 합성하는 방법에 대해 연구하였다. VBTAC는 친수성기를 갖고 있어서 무극성인 폴리에틸렌에 직접 그라프트시키기 어려우므로 그라프트가 용이한 hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA) 또는 ethylmeth-acrylate(EMA)를 공단량체로 하여 그라프트 중합시켜 VBTAC와 HEMA, VBTAC와 EMA간의 그라프트 반응성을 조사한 결과 그라프트율이 증가하면서 공중합체중의 VBTAC/HEMA, VBTAC/EMA의 몰비는 점차 증가하는 경향을 보였고 VBTAC/HEMA의 몰비가 VBTAC/EMA의 몰비에 비하여 컸다. 그라프트 중합으로 합성한 음이온교환 중공사막의 이온교환용량, 흡수율 등의 물성을 측정하였다. 또한 그라프트 중공사막의 열적 거동을 TGA와 DSC을 사용하여 검토하였다. An attempt in the present work was made to introduce strong anion exchange group by radiation-induced grafting of vinyl benzyl trimethyl ammonium chloride(VBTAC) onto the polyethylene hollow fiber. Comonomer technique using hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA) and ethyl methacrylate(EMA) as comonomers was tried owing to the difficulty of direct graft copolymerization of VBTAC onto polyethylene. Grafting reactivity between VBTAC-HEMA and VBTAC-EMA was examined. The molar ratios of VBTAC/HEMA or VBTAC/EMA in the copolymer increased with increasing the total degree of grafting. The molar ratios of VBTAC/HEMA in the copolymer were higher than those of VBTAC/EMA. Anionic exchange capacity and water absorption of grafted polyethylene hollow fiber were also examined in accordance with the total grafting yield. Thermal behavior of the grafted membrane was investigated by TGA and DSC.

        전자선이용 가교 폴리에틸렌 (PE-X) 파이프 제조기술

        Plastic pipes are usually made by polybutylene (PB), poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC), ethylenepropylene rubber (EPR), linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), polypropylene (PP), crosslinkedpolyethylene (PE-X), etc. Especially PE-X pipes have toughness to withstand high temperature andhigh pressure, and have long-term usable features. For example, the maximum service temperatureand pressure of PB are known to be 90°C and 0.4 MPa, respectively, whereas PE-X pipes withstand110°C, and the maximum service temperature and pressure are 95°C and 0.65 MPa. PE-X has verygood toughness, environmental crack resistance, slow crack grip resistance, and also has resistanceto electrolysis, corrosion and chemicals. Its advantages over competing materials such as steel andcopper pipes include speed and ease of installation, low cost of materials, durability and flexibility. In general, PE pipes are divided into non-crosslinked and crosslinked ones. PE-X pipes are used inlarge quantities in plumbing pipes that circulate hot water because of their high heat resistance, andthe market is growing rapidly. The technology and status of PE-X pipe processing are discussed inthis article.

        Ionic Aggregation Characterization of Sulfonated PEEK Ionomers Using by X-Ray and DMA Techniques

        Commercial Victrex® poly(ether ether ketone) was dissolved and sulfonated using sulfonic acid at an elevated temperature of 55-70 oC. Various techniques such as thermogravimetric analysis, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) were employed to investigate the mechanical properties and morphology of sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) film. Sulfonation temperatures were shown to have a direct effect on the degree of sulfonation. The DMA study showed that welldeveloped α-relaxation peaks related to chain relaxation in the ionic regions shifted to higher temperatures as sulfonation degree increased. However, the β- and γ-relaxation peaks showed that the peaks related to chain relaxation in the crystalline regions shifted to lower temperatures as sulfonation degree increased. These DMA results suggest that the sulfonic acid groups act as very effective plasticizers for the intercrystalline regions. DSC thermograms showed that the glass transition shifted systematically to higher temperatures as the sulfonation degree increased. In the SAXS study, an ionic domain peak was observed and the peak position shifted to a slightly higher angle as sulfonation degree increased, implying that the number of ionic aggregates increased.

        거주중 공동주택의 지하주차장확대를 위한 흙막이공법 선정

        경제수준의 향상에 따른 자동차보급율의 급격한 증가는 공동주택단지의 주차공간 부족현상을 심화시키고 있다. 준공 당시에는 주차장 설치기준을 만족하였겠지만, 현재의 법규나 주민의 요구를 만족시키지 못하는 실정이다. 노후 공동주택은 건물구조체의 내구성에 문제가 없음에도 불구하고, 설비의 노후화와 주차공간의 부족으로 기존의 건물을 철거하고 재건축하는 방법을 채택하는 경우도 있다. 이로 인한 국가적 차원의 자원낭비와 자원의 재활용 및 재사용 측면에서 문제가 많다. 또한 주차난으로 인한 화재 사망사고도 발생한 사례가 있다. 공동주택의 주차난은 단순한 불편함이 아닌 안전에 관계된 심각한 문제이다. 단지 전체의 리모델링이 아닌 주차장 확장만을 위한 리모델링이 필요하다. 본 연구는 주민들이 이주를 하지 않고 거주하는 중에 지하주차장 확대를 위한 흙막이 공법선정 방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 흙막이공법 선정시 영향요인을 분석하고, AHP기법을 적용하여 가중치를 산정하였다. 전문가를 대상으로 흙막이공법의 적용성 평가를 실시하여 거주중에 적용 가능한 흙막이공법 선정방안을 제시하고 민감도분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 공법선정 평가방법은 거주중 지하공사 흙막이공법 선정시 의사결정에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Rapidly increasing automobile supply rate according to improved economic level of life makes lack of parking space of apartments. Even though the initial design of parking space compiled with old regulations, it may not observe either new laws or requirement of inhabitants. Even if old apartments have no structural durability problem, outworn facilities and insufficient parking area may be a main reason for reconstruction. It causes waste of national resources and makes recycling issues. Additionally, irregularly parked cars make traffic obstruction to a fire engine and result in many fire accident victims. Parking problems of apartments are not only inconvenience but also serious safety issues. From these points of view, remodeling only for parking area expansion is necessary to avoid overall reconstruction of apartments. The purpose of this study is to suggest a retaining wall selection method for apartments underground parking lots expansion without evacuation of resident people. Effect factors to select retaining wall system are analyzed and weight values are calculated by applying AHP. One selection method of retaining wall is proposed by evaluating applicability and its sensitivity analysis is executed. This selection method is expected to help decision-making of retaining wall system selection.

      • 방사선가교로 제조된 폴리아크릴산코팅 스테인리스그물망에 의한 유수 분리

        The stainless steel mesh coated with poly(acrylic acid) hydrogel was fabricated andapplied for the separation of water and oil. The stainless steel mesh was immersed in aqueous poly(acrylic acid) solution, and then irradiated by radiation to introduce poly(acrylic acid) hydrogelon the surface of mesh by crosslinking. It was possible to separate oil and water from mixturesof oil/water effectively using the hydrogel-coated mesh. The effect of irradiation dose, coatingthickness, size of mesh on the separation efficiency was examined.
