        ZnO-${Pr_6}{O_{11}}$-CoO-${Er_2}{O_3}$계 바리스터의 안정성에 관한 연구

        The stability of ZnO-Pr$_{6}$/O$_{11}$-CoO-Er$_{2}$/O$_3$based varistors was investigated with Er$_{2}$/O$_3$additive content of the range 0.0 to 2.0 mol%. All varistors sintered at 130$0^{\circ}C$ exhibited the thermal runaway within short times even under weak d.c. stress. As a result these varistors were completely degraded. On the contrary the stability of varistors sintered at 135$0^{\circ}C$ was far better than that of 130$0^{\circ}C$. In particular the varistors added with 0.5mol% Er$_{2}$/O$_3$ which the nonlinear exponent is 34.83 and the leakage current is 7.38 $mutextrm{A}$ showed a excellent stability which the variation rate of the varistors voltage the nonlinear coefficient and the leakage current is below 1%, 2%, and 3.5% respectively even under more severe d.c. stress such as (0.80 V$_{1mA}$9$0^{\circ}C$/12h)+(0.85 V$_{1mA}$115$^{\circ}C$/12h)+(0.90 V$_{1mA}$12$0^{\circ}C$12h) Consequently it is estimated that the ZnO-0.5 mol% Pr$_{6}$/O sub 11/-1.0 mol% CoO-0.5 mol% Er$_{2}$/O sub 3/ based varistors will be used to develop the advanced Pr$_{6}$/O$_{11}$-1.0 mol% CoO-0.5 mol% Er$_{2}$/O$_{3}$ based varistors will be used to develop the advanced Pr$_{6}$/O$_{11}$-based ZnO varistors having the high performance and stability in future. future.ure. future.

        Effect of Agricultural Organic Materials Using Sulfur and Oil on Insect Control in Pepper and Tomato

        This experiment was carried out to determine the optimal concentration of agricultural organic materials using sulfur and oil for the insect pest control in pepper and cherry tomato cultivation. The control value of aphids and Oriental tobacco budworm (OTB) was examined one day after spraying with sulfur preparation (SP) (0.33~0.17%), oil preparations (OP) (2.00~0.33%), SP+OP, OP+ginkgo leaf extracts (GLE), SP+OP+GLE on the "Super Manidaa"pepper. The aphid control in pepper was complete by applications of SP+OP (0.25+1.00%) in the early growth stage and the control value was above 98.1% by the application of OP+GLE (1.00+1.00 %), SP+OP+GLE (0.25+1.0+1%), SP+OP+GLE (0.25+1.0+0.5%) in the middle to late growth stage while showing 0% in the control treatment. The OTB was completely controlled by the 3 times application with the high concentration of SP+OP (0.25+1.00%) in pepper cultivation. This result indicates that the oil and the sulfur preparations should be applied at low concentration before insect pests do not appeared, and then sprayed at the high concentration after they appear at pepper plant. The greenhouse whitefly in 'Minichal' tomatoes was completely controlled by three times application of SP (0.25~0.33), OP (1.0~2.00%). and all the treatment of SP+OP. However, continuous control with intervals of 1~3 days was considered favorable in the tomato plant. By the periodical control with agricultural organic materials using sulfur and oil, the greenhouse whitefly, which is a high-temperature insect pest, several moths of OTB did not occur at all. In conclusion, SP+OP (0.17%+0.33%) treatment was the most economical combination to control the aphid, OTB, and greenhouse whitefly in pepper and tomato cultivation when considering operating cost. In addition, we recommend that SP should not be sprayed on the plant shoots during the day time from July to August because of high temperature.

        Effect of Er2O3 Content on Nonlinear Properties and Impulse Clamping Characteristics of Pr/Co/Cr/Al Co-doped Zinc Oxide Ceramics

        The microstructure, nonlinear properties, and impulse clamping characteristics of Pr/Co/Cr/Al co-doped zinc oxide ceramicswere investigated with various contents of Er2O3. Increasing Er2O3 content increased the density of the sintered pellets from 5.69to 5.83 g/cm3, and decreased the average grain size from 10.6 to 6.5 μm. With increased Er2O3 content, the breakdown fieldincreased from 2318 to 4205 V/cm, and the nonlinear coefficient increased from 19.4 to 40.2. The clamp characteristics wereimproved with the increase of the content of Er2O3. The varistors doped with 2.0 mol% exhibited the best clamp characteristics,in which the clamp voltage ratio was 1.40-1.73 at 1-50 A in an impulse current.

        $La_2O_3$가 첨가된 Pr계 ZnO 바리스터의 미세구조와 전기적 특성

        The effects of $La_2O_3$on the microstructure and electrical characteristics of Pr-based ZnO varistors were investigated. The average grain size increased in the range of 21.9~56.3$\mu$ m with increasing $La_2O_3$additive content(0.0~2.0 mol%). La was, of course grain boundary, largely segregated at the nodal point. As $La_2O_3$additive content increases, threshold voltage and nonlinear coefficient decreased and leakage current increased. In particular, 2.0 mol% $La_2O_3$-added varistor exhibited low threshold voltage 17.0V/mm and nonlinear coefficient of about 6. Based on these results, this varistor can be said to be used as low-voltage varistor, if nonlinear coefficient is somewhat improved forward.

        이트리아가 첨가된 프라세오디뮴계 산화아연 바리스터의 안정성에 관한 연구

        The stability of paraseodymium-based zinc oxide varistor consisting of Zn-Pr-Co-Cr-Y oxide was investigated according to yttria additives under different stress conditons, such as 0.8V\ulcorner\ulcorner/373K/12h and 0.85V\ulcorner\ulcorner/393K/12h. Wholly, all varistor after the stress showed nearly symmetric and stable I-V characteristics. Particularly, in the case of 2.0mol% and 4.0mol% yttria-added varistor showing a good I-V characteristics, the varation rate of varistor voltage were less 1% and that of nonlinear coefficient were about degree of 5%, and what is remarkable, leakage current with increasing stress time during the applied stress was almost constant. It the light of these facts, it is estimated that varistor constituents having 2.0mol% and 4.0mol% yittria, respectively, will be utilized to various application fields.

        $Y_2O_3$ 첨가에 따른 ZnO:Pr 바리스터의 미세구조 및 전기적 특성에 관한 연구

        Pr\ulcornerO\ulcorner-based ZnO varistors were fabricated in the range of $Y_2$O$_3$additive content from 0.5 to 4.0mol%, and its microstructure and electrical properties were investigated. Yttrium was distributed nearly in the grain boundaries and the cluster phase formed at nodal point but more in cluster phase. The average grain size was decreased markedly from 34.9 to 8.6${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ with increasing $Y_2$O$_3$additive content. It is believed that the decrease of grain size is attributed to the formation of cluster phase and the weakening of driving force for liquid sintering. As a result, $Y_2$O$_3$was acted as the inhibitor of the grain growth. With increasing $Y_2$O$_3$additive content, the varistor voltage, the activation energy, and the nonlinear exponent increased whereas the leakage current decreased, especially 4.0mol% $Y_2$O$_3$-added varistor exhibited very good I-V characteristics; nonlinear exponent 87.42 and leakage current 46.77nA. On the other hand, as $Y_2$O$_3$additive content increases, the varistor showed tendency of the salient decrease for donor concentration and the increase for barrier height. Conclusively, it is estimated that ZnO:Pr varistor compositions added more than 2.0mol% $Y_2$O$_3$are to be used to fabricate useful varistors.

        Sn<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>가 첨가된 ZnO-Pr<sub>6</sub>O<sub>11</sub>-CoO계 세라믹스의 바리스터 특성

        The varistor properties of ZnO-Pr$_{6}$O$_{11}$-CoO-based ceramics doped with Sm$_2$O$_3$were investigated in the addition range of 0.0~2.0 mol% Sm$_2$O$_3$at sintering temperature of 130$0^{\circ}C$ and 135$0^{\circ}C$. As Sm$_2$O$_3$ content is increased, the breakdown voltage was increased in the range of 348.9~521.8 V/mm for ceramics sintered at 130$0^{\circ}C$ and 8.5~381.3 V/mm for ceramics sintered at 135$0^{\circ}C$. On the whole, the increase of sintering temperature led to the low nonlinearity regardless of Sm$_2$O$_3$content. ZnO-Pr$_{6}$O$_{11}$-CoO-based ceramics doped with 1.0 mol% at each sintering temperature exhibited the most superior varistor properties, with the nonlinear exponent of 42.1 at 130$0^{\circ}C$, 36.8 at 135$0^{\circ}C$ and the leakage current of 9.2 $\mu$A at 130$0^{\circ}C$, 11.7 $\mu$A at 135$0^{\circ}C$.EX>.EX>.

        소결온도가 ZPCCL계 바리스터의 충격전류 스트레스 특성에 미치는 영향

        The nonlinear electrical properties and aging characteristics against surge stress of ZPCCL-based varistors were investigated for different sintering temperatures of the range $1240-1300^{\circ}C$. As the sintering temperature increased, the varistor voltage decreased from 732.2 to 53.8 V/mm, the nonlinear exponent decreased from 58.5 to 4.1, and the leakage current increased from $0.38{\mu}A$ to $46.5{\mu}A$. The varistors sintered at $1250^{\circ}C$ and $1260^{\circ}C$ exhibited the high stability against multiple surge, $150A/cm^2(8{\times}20{\mu}s)$. On the whole, the variation rate of electrical characteristics against impulse current stress was gradually increased in order of varistor voltage$\rightarrow$nonlinear exponent$\rightarrow$dissipation facto$\rightarrow$leakage current.

        La2O3 Doped ZnO-Pr6O11계 바리스터 세라믹스의 전기적 성질 및 안정성

        The varistor properties and DC accelerated aging characteristics of ZnO-Pr6O11-CoO-Cr2O3-based varistors were investigated at dif-ferent La2O3 contents in the range of 0~2.0 mol%..The varistors doped with 0.5 mol% La2O3 exhibited good nonlinearity, with 81.6in nonlinear coefficient. Increasing the La2O3 content further to 2.0 mol% caused the sintered density to increase, and the breakdownvoltage and nonlinearity to decrease abruptly. The varistors with 0.5 mol% La2O3 exhibited the high electrical stability, with 1.14%in variation rate of breakdown voltage, for specified DC accelerated aging stress condition (95% of breakdown voltage/150oC/24 h).

        $Pr_6O_{11}$계 ZnO 바리스터의 DC 가속열화특성

        The electrical properties and stabiltiy of Pr$_{6}$O$_{11}$ -based ZnO varistors, which are composed of ZnO-Pr$_{6}$O$_{11}$-Cr$_{2}$O$_{3}$-Er$_{2}$O$_{3}$ based ceramics, were investigated in the Er$_{2}$O$_{3}$ content range of 0.5 to 2.0 mol%. As Er$_{2}$O$_{3}$content is increased up to approximaterly 1.0mol%, the nonlinearity was decreased. Increasing Er$_{2}$O$_{3}$ content further caused the nonlinearity to increase. The varistors with 2.0 mol% Er$_{2}$O$_{3}$ exhibited a high nonlinearity, in which the nonlinear exponent is 47.41 and the leakage current is 1.82 $\mu$A. Furthermore, they showed a very excellent stability, in which the variation rates of the varistor voltage, the nonlinear exponent, and leakage current are -0.52%, -4.09%, and 152.75%, respectively, under DC accelerated aging stress, such as (0.80 V$_{1mA}$9$0^{\circ}C$/12h)+(0.85 V$_{1mA}$115$^{\circ}C$/12h)+(0.90 V$_{1mA}$12$0^{\circ}C$/12h)+(0.95 V$_{1mA}$1$25^{\circ}C$/12h)+(0.95 V$_{1mA}$1$25^{\circ}C$/12h).2h)./12h).2h).
