우리는 과거 대량생산과 개발로 상징되는 급격한산업화와 도시화를 경험하였다. 이 시기는 사회전반에퍼져있는 확일적인 가치관과 문화 그리고 생활양식이개개인의 사고와 행동을 지배하였다. 그렇지만, 현대사회는 진전된 첨단 과학기술발달, 디지털 컨버전스, 가치관 및 문화 다양화 등은 사회를 복합적이고 융합적으로 변화시키고 있다. 융복합 사회는 구성원들의동등한 사회주체로 부상하고 이를 통해 다양한 가치관과 문화 그리고 행동양식이 융복합되는 것을 의미한다. 사회 활동 측면에서는 융복합 사회는 사회 구성원 각각이 일상생활과 경제활동을 저마다의 사고와가치관에 의해 다양하게 영위하고 이들이 사회 전체적으로 서로 어우러져 융복합되는 것을 의미한다. 최근 국·내외 욕실브랜드에서 제시하는 욕실공간을통하여 공간의 속성과 그에 따른 경계 영역에 모호성표현 특성을 분석하여 현실적인 욕실 공간에서의 경계의 모호성 표현 계획을 세우고자 한다. 연구방법은 다음과 같은 순서로 기술한다. 문헌연구는 Robert Charles Venturi의 모호성 개념과 선행연구를 통해 진행되었고 사례연구는 조사대상 욕실속성의일반적 특성과 국·내외 욕실브랜드 제안욕실 사례를총 12종을 선별하여 국외브랜드 6종 국내브랜드 6종분류하여 사례 분석을 하였다. 욕실공간의 모호한 경계의 표현특성으로는 현대사회는 공간 영역간의 관계성 변화에 따른 경계인식이변화는 공간의 표현에도 영향을 주게 되고 이는 생활양식의 다양화와 급속한 경제성장으로 인해 과거에비해 생활수준이 크게 향상되면서 주거공간 내 공간의 기능이 복합적인 현상을 반영으로 흐름과 연속성을 공간에 표현하기위한 다양한 시도로 이어졌다. 이러한 관계성 변화를 표현하고 있는 사례분석을 통한경계인식표현의 방법에 따른 특성이 다음과 같이 분석되어짐을 알 수 있다. 첫째, 공간의 조합과 혼성을 통해 상호관입과 중첩, 그리고 경계의 확정으로 공간의 영역성을 모호하게함과 동시에 동시성을 갖는 복합적 공간을 창조한다. 둘째, 중성적인 전이공간의 매개체로서의 중간 영역적 성격과 함께 다른 공간으로 변질 가능한 공간의연속적인 완충공간을 나타낸다. 셋째, 유기체적 움직임과 같이 확장되고 분산되며변형과정의 모호성을 통해 무한히 가변적 유동성을보인다. 넷째, 경계의 형태적 비물질성을 통해 감각적인 경험 혹은 가상의 미지를 새로운 영역으로의 구체적인표현을 가능하게 한다. 이처럼 욕실 브랜드가 제시하는 다양한 욕실은 주거공간의 각 공간영역 사이의 관계성 변화에 따른 현대의 불확정적인 요인들을 모호한 경계로 표현하여내부공간의 물리적 경계표현에서 인식적인 측면으로강화하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 모호한 경계인식의 변화는 공간의 표현에 결정적 영향을 주고 있음을알 수 있다. 이로서 본 연구는 시대적 패러다임에 따른 경계의 인식 변화에서 드러난 경계의 모호성을 스스로 생성하는 새로운 공간 변화를 위한 대안의 하나로 보고 적용 가능성을 제시하고자 하였다. 인간과 공간을 상호 커뮤니케이션하여 우리에게 다양한 공간을체험을 제공할 것이며 기존의 전형적인 욕실 형태에서 벗어난 생활의 편의를 도모하고 현대인의 새로운가치관과 라이프스타일에 맞는 욕실 개발에 도움이될 것이라 예상한다. We have experienced rapid industrialization and urbanization, symbolized by mass production and development in the past. This period dominated the thinking and behavior of individual people with the intrinsic values, culture, and lifestyle that spread throughout society. However, modern society is changing society in a complex and convergent way, such as advanced scientific and technological development, digital convergence, value and cultural diversification. It means that the multifunctional society emerges as an equal social subject of the members, and through this, various values, culture, and behavior are mixed. In the aspect of social activities, the Mongolian society means that each member of society runs diverse lives and economic activities according to their own thinking and values, and they are merged and integrated into society as a whole. Recently, the nature of the space and the boundary expressing the ambiguity are analyzed through the bathroom space presented by the domestic and foreign bathroom brand, and the plan of expressing the ambiguity of the boundary in the realistic bathroom space is set up. The research method is described in the following order. The literature study was carried out through Robert Charles Venturi 's ambiguity concept and previous research. Case study selected 12 kinds of general characteristics of bath properties and national and international bathroom brand proposed bathrooms. And analyzed the cases. The characteristics of the expression of the vague boundary of the bathroom space is that modern society is influenced by the change of the boundary perception due to the change of the relationship between the spatial domains and the expression of the space. This is due to diversification of lifestyle and rapid economic growth, As the level has been greatly improved, the function of the space in the residential space has led to various attempts to express the flow and continuity in the space reflecting the complex phenomenon. It is shown that the characteristics according to the method of boundary recognition expression through the case analysis expressing this relationship change are analyzed as follows. First, it creates a complex space with concurrency while obscuring the territoriality of space through mutual intrusions and overlaps and confinement of boundaries through the combination of space and hybridity. Second, it represents a continuous buffer space of a space that can be transformed into another space, with the intermediate domain characteristic as a mediator of a neutral transition space. Fifth, it expands and spreads like organic movement, and infinitely variable fluidity through the ambiguity of the transformation process. Fourth, the morphological non-materiality of the boundary enables to express the sensory experience or the virtual unknown into a new domain. In this way, various bathrooms proposed by the bathroom brand show that modern uncertain factors due to the change of the relationship between spatial areas of residential space are expressed as ambiguous boundaries, is. It can be seen that the change of the ambiguous boundary recognition has a decisive influence on the expression of the space. In this study, this study proposed the possibility of application as an alternative for the new space change which generates the ambiguity of the boundaries revealed by the change of recognition of the boundary according to the periodical paradigm. We will provide a variety of space experiences by mutual communication between people and space. We expect to enjoy convenience of life away from the existing typical bathroom form and will help to develop a bathroom that meets modern people's new values and lifestyle.
