Form the application of long rail system the non-ballast steel plate bridges, fatigue strength increase and rail noise reduction can be expected. This is mainly form the reduction of the rail impact at the rail joint locations which already made to behave together from welds. In the high speed rail, application of long rail system is essential because without long rail system, the required serviceability level can not be achieved. But even with this long rail systems, the thermal expansion from the girder can not be absorbed in the normal bearing systems, and these expansion cause between girder and rail. Also unexpected rail buckling and fracture through rail thermal tension may happen. It was found through numerical analysis and field measurement that these problems can be avoided by semi-fixed bearing system. In this study, the benefits of non-ballast plate bridge through long rail system, especially at the point of girder stability, girder stiffness increase and bearing maintenance will be reviewed.

기업이나 기관등이 인터넷을 사설망 대용으로 사용하는 것은 비용 절감 효과가 크다. 그러나 인터넷은 개방성으로 인해 많은 정보 보호의 취약점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 인터넷을 사설망으로 사용하기 위해서는 안전한 하부구조(infrastructure)를 구성해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 정보보호를 위한 요구사항과 인터넷상의 전자 ID로 통용되는 인증서에 대해 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 인증서를 이용한 정보 보호 서비스 시스템의 구성요소를 제안한다.

In this paper, train running test and lateral resistant force test are conducted before and after sprinkling the ballast stabilizer in order to investigate the dynamic behaviors and parameters of the railroad track. The measured results are used to confirm the effect of the stabilizer and to validate the numerical results. From this paper, it is known that the stabilizer used in this study has excellent effect on increasing the vertical rigidity and the lateral resistance, and some correction factors should be considered on masses and rigidities of the track components in order to calculate the vibration magnitude reasonably due to running train.

From the using CWR (Continuously Welded Rail) on steel plate girder bridges without ballast, axial forces are occurred from a temperature on CWR and girders. Because of the additional axial forces, studies in order to CWR and developments of devices are proceeding. The track system of steel plate girder bridges is poor. When CWR is used for the system, the resistance on sleepers is increased from a temperature. So it is increasing an effect on CWR and, for solving the effect, longitudinal forces for buckle are being decreased. It is possible that opposite cases can be happened and it is also compared and studied. Therefore, we present a reasonable model for analyzing CWR within the property of steel plate girder railway bridges in Korea. Furthermore, the results analyzed for stability is compared and evaluated with tests. Finally, a reasonable method for the installation of CWR on bridges without ballast is suggested.
한국인 다낭성 난포증후군 환자에서 SHP 유전자 변이 분석

Objective: We inversigated Small Heterodimer Partner (SHP) gene mutation in Korean Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) patients. SHP protein regulates the activity of nuclear receptors which regulate the cellular development and differentiation. Recently, the mutation of SHP gene was found in the obesity and diabetes patients in Japanese group, and suggested that its mutation may involved in pathogenic mechanism of PCOS. Methods: This study was performed in 20 PCOS patients and 20 normal women. The DNAs were extracted from the peripheral bloods, and amplified at each exon (1 and 2) of SHP gene by PCR method. Subsequently, each PCR product was digested with the restriction enzyme indicated below for studying restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP). After enzyme digestion, the results of RFLP were compared PCOS patients with control women to find any sequence variation. Results: We examined 9 regions of exon 1 with Msp I, Pvu II, Dde I and 3 regions of exon 2 with Pst I, Dde I. There is no heterozygous or homozygous mutation in patients and control women at these restriction sites. Conclusion: The genetic analysis at our restriction sites in the SHP gene did not show any genetic variation in Korean PCOS patients. Our PCR-RFLP analysis was not covered the entire SHP gene (68 bp/1,006 bp), we need to further analysis of the entire SHP gene.

There has been recently an on-going effort in railway community to improve the dynamic performance of on-site railroad track with limited track possession time. In this paper, train running test, lateral resistant force test and static/dynamic analyses are conducted before and after sprinkle of the ballast stabilizer in order to investigate the dynamic behaviors and parameters of the railroad track. Based upon the above results, effects of the stabilizer is verified, and a table for the track modulus representing on-site track condition and the methods to reduce the vibration and the transmitting forces of the ballasted track components to the infrastructures are suggested. It is thought that the suggestions made in this paper could be used as the preliminary data for the condition assessment and the maintenance of the track in the future.

For the rail fastener clip shoulder being used in Pandrol e-cilp type fastening system, there has been a need to make a structural and electrical improvement due to the fact that PC concrete sleeper showed material loss in the vicinity of exposed portion of the clip shoulder and the fact that track signal was lost when a track insulation block is missing on the track. In the present study, a new lightweight rail fastener clip shoulder with enhanced electrical insulation capability is developed.

The bridge bearings and girder seats, which transfer superstructure loads to substructure, are important parts in the bridge structures, especially railway bridges in which the live load to dead load ratio is large. Also, these parts are considered as one of the most critical connections when earthquake load is applied. Unlike the bridge bearings which are manufactured in the shop with strict quality controls, the girder seats are constructed in the fields and it is common to be found with severe damages due to railway loads and impacts. The beam seat damages cause strength reduction, especially for the horizontal load by earthquake and may not possess adequate strength for earthquake load. In the railway bridges, these damages start more rapidly than other bridges because the live load portion is large, the impact and horizontal load are huge due to the railway's high speed. These damages could be minimized if the load, which are applied to the girder seats, could be distributed into wider surface and the concrete face could be protected. The purpose of this strengthen method is to protect girder seat and reduce maintenance cost by longitudinally connect bridge bearings with steel plates and distributing superstructure reactions and earthquake loads into wider areas.
