제품 분석을 통한 줌바웨어 디자인 연구 - ‘줌바® 웨어(Zumba® wear)’ 브랜드를 중심으로

연구배경 운동시에 적절한 의상을 착용하는 것은 자기 표현의 완성과 더불어 운동의 효과를 극대한다. 심리적 즐거움과 신체적 건강 증진에 탁월한 운동인 줌바의 빠른 성장과 전파에도 불구하고 줌바 피트니스웨어 시장은 지극히 제한적이다. 따라서, 틈새 시장인 줌바 웨어 마켓의 제품 개발을 위한 디자인 가이드라인을 제공하는 것이 본 연구의 목표이다. 연구방법 줌바 피트니스와 피스니스웨어에 관한 이론적 고찰을 진행하였으며, 줌바웨어 제품 분석을 바탕으로 디자인 특성을 살펴보았다. 이 때, 분석의 범위는 줌바의 미적 가치를 전달하는 주된 아이템인 상의로 제한하였으며, 분석의 방법은 디자인의 구성 요소를 바탕으로 진행하였다. 분석된 디자인 특성을 바탕으로 줌바웨어에 내재된 미적 특성을 도출하였다. 연구결과 줌바웨어의 디자인 특성은 헐렁한 실루엣, 뒷몸판의 변형과 인체 노출의 형태적 특성, 레드 계열을 비롯한 난색 계열의 형광색상 및 무채색과 형광색 그래픽의 가시성 높은 배색, 기능이 강조된 소재, 그래픽의 조형적 패턴으로 정리된다. 또한 줌바웨어는 기능 뿐 아니라 미적 요소가 복합된 심미적 기능성, 다국적 문화 융합의 요소가 돋보이는 문화적 절충성, 즐거움과 긍정의 표현으로 펀 코드를 완성하는 시각적 유희성을 미적 특성으로 내포한다. 연구결론 줌바웨어는 줌바가 가지는 기능적, 미적, 정신적 가치를 투영한 의상으로, 운동 수행의 기능은 물론 차별화된 패션의 영역으로 발전 가능성 있는 잠재적 시장임을 확인하였다.

To date, Italian fashion rans the top even its rise is far behind Paris and New York. The purpose of this study is to analyze and compare the aesthetic characteristics of the italian fashion through two representative designers who contributed to italian fashion. Italy had unique industrial system and craftsmanship from the history and sense of the beauty and the uniqueness from the culture. After the World War II, Italy started to produce elegant sportswears influenced by the progressive manufacturing techniques and practical culture of America. Italian fashion of 'easy elegance' is spearheaded by Vesace and Armani. The aesthetic characteristics of Italian fashion which are shown in the artworks of them are as follows. First, the characteristics of Versace dated from southern sensibility are sensualism, expressionism, historicism. 1) Sensualism: tight silhouette, overexposure, glamorous form, brilliant color, fabric showing femininity, gaudy accessaries 2) Expressionism: brilliant print and color, trimmings and accessaries 3) Historicism: form and motifs that are shown in the historical costume Second, the characteristics of Armani succeeded from northern tailoring are purism, functionalism, and multi-culturism. 1) Purism: clean lines, architectural and geometric forms, natural body line, neutral tones, luxurious fabric 2) Functionalism: functional form, neutral tone, natural fabrics 3) Multi-culturism: design and motif inferred from ethnic costume As such. competition between two different groups made it possible that Italian fashion occupies a special place in the international fashion system.

Appropriation of Historical Details in the Contemporary Fashion

In the contemporary fashion, historical fusion merging the historical styles with new technology and uniqueness became one of the major trends. Many contemporary fashion designers have referred to the costume history and mixed historical styles with the contemporary fashion. In this study, the designs showing historical references in the contemporary fashion were analyzed by details to provide the fresh ideas for designing creative fashions and to propose the desirable approach toward studying the costume history. First of all, historicism in the post-modern architecture and fashion were examined to find out the background of appropriation of historical details in the contemporary fashion, Since the history has come closer in everyday life especially in fashion and architecture in the post-modern culture. And the fashion and the architecture are akin to the human as a micro and macro environment surrounding us. And the examples of the appropriation of historical details in the contemporary fashion were analyzed by constructive details. In the contemporary fashion, historical details have been reworked with advanced technology and materials, exaggerated, and reconstructed in the mix & match with the contemporary outfits. In other words, the ways of appropriation of historical details could be explained as transformation, exaggeration, and reconstruction. In conclusion, historical details are the greatest inferences to invent the creative fashion designs. And studying costume history should not been overlooked since this can offer great inspirations to the contemporary designers interested in historical styles and trying to develop them into more creative fashion designs.

현대패션에 나타난 역사적 디테일의 차용

현대인들이 느끼는 미래에 대한 불안과 과거에 대한 향수, 새로움에 대한 끊임없는 열망은 복식사를 참고하는 다양한 패션의 탄생을 야기시켰다. 이는 20세기말 중요하게 대두된 테마로서, 포스트모던 건축과 패션을 통해 다양하게 펼쳐졌다. 본 연구는 현대 패션에 나타난 역사적 디테일의 차용에 대한 고찰을 통해 복식사의 다양한 스타일이 창조적인 패션 디자인 개발을 위한 무궁무진한 영감의 보고로서 활용될 수 있음을 재확인하고자 하였다. 우선, 문헌적 자료를 바탕으로 건축과 패션에 등장한 역사주의를 살펴보았다. 또한 제3의 밀레니엄을 전후한 1990년대에서 현재에 이르기까지의 디자이너 콜렉션에서, 과거 복식을 참고로 한 패션 디자인의 실례를 수집하여 디테일에 따라 분석하였으며 이를 통해 현대 패션에서 과거 복식에 등장한 디테일의 차용 방법을 규명하였다. 역사는 포스트모더니즘 문화 가운데 건축과 패션 등에서 모든 사람들의 생활에 근접하게 다가왔으며, 동시대의 많은 디자이너들은 역사적 디테일을 다양한 소재와 기술, 형태로 끊임없이 재구성하였다. 이러한 예들은 과거 복식에서 등장하는 콜셋, 칼라와 슬리브, 크리놀린과 벗슬 등의 퓨전에서 찾아볼 수 있었으며, 이러한 복식사적 디테일은 의외의 재질과 기술로 변형되고 과장되며, 현대적 아이템과 함께 재구성됨을 알 수 있었다. 이상과 같이, 복식사적 디테일의 차용은 현대 패션의 중요한 테마로서 오늘날의 많은 디자이너들 작품에서 빈번히 등장하였다. 따라서 복식사에서 등장하는 수많은 디테일이 현대의 독창적인 패션 디자인 창조를 위한 무한한 참고자료로서 의의가 있음을 재확인하였으며, 이를 통해 복식사 연구에 대한 시각이 단순한 사적 연구에 국한되지 않고 창조적 패션 디자인 개발을 위한 영감의 보고로서 확장되어야 함을 제안하였다. K-pop 스타 패션에 나타난 키치의 조형적 특성 연구

개성 있는 패션 연출로 차별화된 스타일을 추구하는 현대인들은 스타들의 키치 패션을 중요한 패션 코드로 수용하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 K-pop 스타 패션 가운데 키치 패션을 수집, 분석하여 그 미적 특성과 표현방법을 도출하는 것으로, 이를 바탕으로 개성적 스타일링을 제안하고 독창적 디자인 아이디어를 제공하고자 함이다. 먼저, 문헌 연구를 통해 키치의 개념 및 변천, 조형적 특성과 키치패션의 개념 및 변천을 고찰하였다. 다음으로, K-pop 스타 가운데 키치 패션을 대표하는 싸이, 2NE1, 지드래곤, 이효리의 의상을 수집, 분석하여 K-pop 스타 패션에 나타난 키치의 조형적 특성을 분석하였다. 키치 패션은 1950, 1960년대 하위문화에서 나타났으며 현대인들에게 키치는 개성 표출과 즐거움을 전달하는 펀(fun)의 도구로서 트렌드를 리드한다. K-pop 스타들의 키치 패션에 나타나는 미적 특성 가운데, 과장성은 과다한 장식이나 액세서리의 사용, 산만한 패턴의 무질서한 조합, 인체 특정 부위를 부풀리는 형태적 과장에서 비롯되었으며, 부적절성은 어울리지 않는 색이나 패턴의 부조화적 매치, 서로 어울리지 않는 아이템의 스타일링으로 요약된다. 끝으로 유희성은 동물 인형, 애니메이션 등 동심을 자극하는 유아적 요소를 모티브로 한 키치적 액세서리나 장식의 사용, 기괴한 발상에서 비롯된 장난스럽고 유치한 패턴에서 비롯되며 펀의 감정을 유발한다. 이상과 같이 K-pop 스타들의 키치 패션은 기존 문화에 식상함, 지루한 일상을 탈피하고자 하는 현대소비자들에게 신선함과 즐거움을 제공할 것이며 신선한 스타일링과 디자인의 영감을 제공할 것이다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the aesthetic characteristics of Kitsch fashion based on K-pop stars fashion, suggest the way of unique styling, and provide the inference to contemporary fashion design. As a background research, the definition and history of Kitsch fashion were reviewed. And the ways of expression and meanings of Kitsch appeared in K-pop stars fashion were extracted by analyzing fashion of Psy, 2NE1, G-dragon, Hyori Lee from 2010 until now. Kitsch fashion appeared among the subculture styles in 50s and 60s, and leads the contemporary trends. Kitsch fashion of K-pop stars is characterized as follows. 1) The characteristic of exaggeration is expressed in use of excessive accessaries and details, mix of patterns, exaggeration of certain body part. 2) the characteristic of inappropriateness is expressed in mismatch of colors, patterns, and cross-coordination of items. 3) the characteristic of playfulness is expressed in the accessary, decoration, and patterns using childish motifs causing fun. To sum up, K-pop stars fashion playes a key role in fashion trend providing fresh and fun ideas to contemporary fashion.

뉴밀레니엄시대 패션에 나타난 `페이크 펀(fake fun)`디자인

뉴밀레니엄 소비자들은 유쾌한 상상 속에 위기 상황이나 지루한 상황을 벗어날 수 있는 `페이크 펀` 디자인에 열광하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 21세기 패션 전반에 `페이크 펀` 디자인이 어떻게 표현되었는지를 분석함으로써, 뉴밀레니엄 시대 소비자의 차별화된 문화 코드에 부응하는 패션 제품 개발 및 매장 전개에 가이드라인을 제시하고자 함이다. 이를 위해, 밀레니엄시대 소비자의 특성 및 변화된 라이프스타일을 바탕으로 `펀` 디자인의 등장 배경을 고찰하고, `페이크 펀` 디자인의 개념을 정리하였으며, 산업디자인 제품 사례를 통해 제품에 나타난 `페이크 펀` 디자인을 살펴보았다. 마지막으로, 2000년대 패션에 반영된 `페이크 펀`의 사례를 조사하였다. 연구방법으로는 관련 기사 및 서적, 선행 연구를 바탕으로 한 이론적 고찰과 산업디자인 제품과 뉴밀레니엄 패션 가운데 나타난 `페이크 펀` 디자인을 조사하는 사례 연구가 병행되었으며, 뉴밀레니엄 패션의 조사 범위는 2000년 이후부터 2012년 s/s 컬렉션으로 한정하였다. `페이크 펀` 디자인은 눈속임으로 진짜같이 보이는 것이 가짜임을 확인하는 경우, 즉 정상적인 기대로부터 벗어난 부조화적 상황에서 유쾌함과 재미를 전달하는 디자인으로, 기발한 상상력에서 비롯된 `페이크 펀` 디자인 요소로 재미를 주는 액세서리나 문구류들은 젊은이들 사이에 폭발적인 인기이다. 뉴밀레니엄 패션에 나타난 `페이크 펀` 디자인은 제품뿐 아니라 제품의 진열 방식 및 판매방식 등 매장 환경에서 구매의 즐거움을 제공하는 측면에도 다양하게 적용되고 있다. 2000년 이후의 기성복 컬렉션에서도 오브제의 쓰임새를 엉뚱한 위치로 이동시키거나 착용 위치를 뒤바꾼 스타일 등의 위치 왜곡, 의복의 일반적 형태를 왜곡하고 정상적인 착장 형식을 파괴하는 형태 왜곡, 눈속임 기법 등 현실 세계에서 불가능한 조합과 부조화를 통한 일탈은 보는 이에게 유쾌한 감정을 유발한다. 이상과 같이 `페이크 펀` 패션은 뉴밀레니엄 시대의 주요한 트렌드로 자리매김하고 있다. Fake fun design is popular among twenty first century consumers since they are eager to escape their dull daily routines through fun imagination. The purpose of this study is to analyze how fake fun design is expressed in fashion of the 21st century and suggest the guidelines for developing fashion products and store environments. First, theoretical study about fake fun design was reviewed and the examples among the industrial design products were examined. Also, the fake fun fashion in the store environment and ready-to-wear collection from the year two thousand to 2012 s/s were collected and analyzed. Fake fun design creates a sense of amusement, for it tricks the eye. Accessaries and stationaries based on imagination are very popular among young consumers nowadays. Fake fun fashion is shown in displays or methods of selling fashion products. In the ready-to-wear collection, fake fun fashion is also shown in the displacement of object, distortion of wearing, transformation, and optical illusion causing fun through unusual or inharmonious mix and match. This fake fun fashion is the key trend leading a new millenium fashion.
