육기(六氣)의 기질적(氣質的) 특성에 따른 한의 진단 활용성에 관한 연구

Objectives In this study, we tried to analyze the expression status and diagnostic application of the disease according to the characteristics of Six Qi. Methods Suwenxuanjiyuanbingshi (Exploration to Mysterious Pathogenesis and Etiology Based on the Plain Questions, 1152), Shoushibaoyuan (Longevity and Life Preservation, 1615), Dongeuibogam (Treasured Mirror of Eastern Medicine, 1613) and two modern works on Six Qi were analyzed for this study. Results Some substrate characteristics presenting Six Qi were extracted from original literatures. Also, we found that the characteristics of Six Qi can be applied to clinical trials by presenting them as three criteria as wind, humidity, and temperature. Conclusions This study suggests.

Objectives : This study aimed to investigate the effects of electroacupuncture (EA), the laser acupuncture (LA) and the combination therapy (LA+EA) in a collagenase-induced osteoarthritis rat model. Methods : Osteoarthritis rat model was induced by injection of collagenase into left lower articular cavity (50 μl to knee and 10 μl to ankle). In order to assess the anti-osteoarthritic effects of EA, the 650 nm LA and 650 nm LA+EA, the histopathological findings and plantar withdrawal responses were analyzed. Results : All of the treatment methods used in this study were effective in reducing pain. All treatment groups were effective in decreasing inflammatory cytokines of TNF-a and IL-6; the 650 nm LA and 650 nm LA+EA groups significantly reduced IL-1β. Conclusions : 650 nm LA and EA inhibit the production of collagenase-induced inflammatory mediators of osteoarthritis.
태충 침자가 간 미토콘드리아 내 Complex IV에 미치는 영향

Objectives : The liver is rich in mitochondria and it plays a key role in whole-body energy homeostasis. Mitochondria is double membrane-bound organelle that supplies energy for intracellular metabolism including Krebs cycle and beta-oxidation. Acupuncture is known to stimulate and regulate the flow of energy. To explore the effect of acupuncture on the mitochondrial respiratory chain activity in the rats' livers, the activity of mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes I to IV was observed. Methods : The rats were divided into 4 groups; Normal 1 (no acupuncture treatment and anesthesia for 5 min), Normal 2 (no acupuncture treatment and anesthesia for 10 min), MA1 (acupuncture treatment at bilateral LR3 under anesthesia for 5 min), and MA2 (acupuncture treatment at bilateral LR3 under anesthesia for 10 min). All rats were sacrificed and the livers were examined for respiratory chain change. Results : There was no difference in ubiquinon oxidoreductase, succinate dehydrogenase, and ubiquinol cytochrome C oxidoreductase after acupuncture at LR3. Acupuncture at LR3 for 10 min increased the activity of cytochrome C oxidase compared with no acupuncture groups. Conclusions : Acupuncture at LR3 mediated mitochondrial respiratory chain activity via the cytochrome C oxidase signaling pathway in the livers of rats.

Objectives In order to reinterpret the meaning of Inch-Bar-Cubit used by pulse diagnosis, this study investigates floating pulses of lung and heart in the Inch area, middle pulse of spleen and livers in the Bar area, and deep pulse of kidney and life gate in the Cubit area. However, some suggested that the meaning of Inch-Bar-Cubit should be interpreted in the same way as floating-middle-deep. Methods In this study, the contents of Inch-Bar-Cubit assignment of pulse diagnosis proposed by Dongeuibogam and Medical Scientist were investigated along with the existing investigation of pulse diagnosis, and their interpretation was investigated. Result and conclusion The assignment of books in Pulse diagnosis can be applied by replacing them with floating-middle-deep instead of Inch-Bar-Cubit.

Objectives: To observe the changes in the expression of neurotransmitters NO and enzymes that create NO, such as nNOS, iNOS and eNOS, upon the needle insertion on river point, one of the five transport points of three yang meridians on the forefoot. Methods: Based on rats, needle was inserted on both sides of LI5, SI5 and TE6, which are river points of three yang meridians on the forefoot, and were retained for five minutes. After the retention, blood was drawn via cardiac puncture and tissues from each point around meridian vessels were extracted to be examined on the changes of the expression of NO, as well as of nNOS, iNOS and eNOS. Results: In terms of the effect on NO creation in tissues, none of the experimental groups showed any significant change compared to the Normal group. In terms of the effect on expression of nNOS within tissues, LI5 and SI5 showed significant increase based on the results of immunohistochemistry. In iNOS within tissues, LI5 and SI5 showed significant increase based on the results of immunohistochemistry. In eNOS within tissues, SI5 showed significant increase based on the results of immunohistochemistry. Conclusions: The effect on the function of NO, nNOS, iNOS and eNOS of needle insertion on the river points of three yang meridians on the forefoot could be observed, and based on this study, it is considered that the effect of needle stimulation on the changes of nervous system could be found out through additional research.
족삼음경의 락혈에 시술된 침 자극에 의한 NO, NOS, NE 발현 연구

The acupuncture about acupoint affects the production of NO, NOS, and NE.Local action of acupuncture is important for acupuncture treatment. To prove this, the revelation degree of NO, NOS, and NE was observed by stimulating the acupuncture at the connecting point of SP4, KI4, and LR5 in the depths of Superficial layer, Middle layer and Deep layer. Methods : Needles were inserted into rats, on each right and left sides of the connecting point, SP4, KI4 and LR5 acupoints which are the stream points of the foot meridian. After insertion, needles were retained for three minutes. After the retention, rat was sacrificed via cardiac puncture, and tissues of each SP4, KI4 and LR5 point near meridian vessel was extracted to examine the changes in the expression of NO, NOS and NE. Results : In terms of the effect in NO production, there was significant increase in the Superficial layer, Middle layer and Deep layer at KI4. In terms of the effect in NE production, there was significant decrease in the Superficial layer at SP4 and increase in the Superficial layer, Middle layer and Deep layer at LR5. In terms of the effect in nNOS production, there was significant increase in the Superficial layer, Middle layer and Deep layer at SP4 also in the Superficial layer at KI4. In terms of the effect in eNOS production, there was a significant increase in the Superficial layer, Middle layer and Deep layer at SP4, KI4 and LR5. In terms of the effect in iNOS production, there was significant increase in the Superficial layer, Middle layer and Deep layer at SP4, KI4 and LR5. Conclusions : The effect of acupuncture applied at the connecting point of six meridians of the foot on the activities of NO, NOS and NE could be observed, and it can be induced from the effect of needle stimulation on disrupted local and systemic nervous responses.
수소음심경 오수혈 혈위별 레이저 침자가 고혈압 흰쥐의 혈압에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of laser acupuncture to the 532 nm on the five transport points with the heart meridian for treatment to hypertensive disease in rats with L-NAME induced hypertensive. Methods : Hypertensive was induced by L-NAME for 3 weeks. The laser acupuncture therapy on the five transport points of heart meridian(Laser Well Point-HT9, Laser Brook Point-HT8. Laser Stream Point-HT7, Laser River Point-HT4 and Laser Sea Point-HT3) was treated twice a week for 5 times. The hypertensive was measured using a cardiac hypertrophy, atherogenic index, TG/HDL-cholesterol ratio, TCHO, HDLC, TG, AST, ALT, antioxidative effectiveness and glutathione peroxidase quality of hypertensive rats induced by L-NAME. Results : Blood pressure were decreased significantly after the laser acupuncture of Well, Brook and Sea Point groups. Cardiac hypertrophy were decreased at the laser acupuncture of Brook and Stream Point groups. Athrogenic index was decreased at the laser acupuncture of Well, Stream, River and Sea Point groups. TG/HDL-cholesterol ratio was decreased at the laser acupuncture of all groups. Total cholesterol was decreased significantly at the laser acupuncture of Well Point group. High density lipoprotein cholesterol and total cholesterol were decreased significantly at the laser acupuncture of Well, Stream and River Point groups. Triglyceride was decreased significantly at the laser acupuncture of Stream Point group. Cu/Zn-Superoxide Dismutase (Cu/Zn-SOD) and glutathione peroxidase(GPX) were increased significantly at the laser acupuncture of Well Point group. Conclusions : The laser acupuncture treatment in five transport points of the Heart Meridian was effective for lowering blood pressure, cardiac hypertrophy, Atherogenic index and HTR, and for enhancing antioxidant activity.

Objectives : In this study we investigated characteristics of eight extra meridians based on the chapter of Pyoung Gi Kyoung Pal Maek Byoung(PGKPMB) of the Pulse Classic(Maijing; PC) and the 27, 28, and 29th question of the Classic of Difficult Issues(Nanjing; CDI). Methods : We searched out the contents of eight extra meridians in historical background, the principal and circulation of eight extra meridians, and the symptoms and pulse diagnosis of eight extra meridians on the PGKPMB of the PC and the 27, 28, and 29th question of the CDI. Results and Conclusions : About development of eight extra meridians, content which was scattered in the CDI was supplemented and developed in the CDI. Also taking over the content in the CDI, the meaning of the eight extra meridians was expanded and supplemented in the PC. In the PC, the mechanism about symptom of eight extra meridians especially has been described. Also materialization of symptom which linked to pathogenic pulse of eight extra meridians had a great impact on future generation.

Objectives : It is noted that Jukheon-Silheombang(Actual Formulas of Jukheon), is a rare book published by a private physician in 1950s. The study of this book is the data that can be used to see how the acupuncture of Huh-Im is inherited and performed in the local small towns right after the Korean War. Methods : Through the investigation of various literature data and interviews with the author’s descendants, Jukheon-Silheombang’s related figures, citation documents, book formation and content characteristics were descriptively analyzed. Results and Conclusions : Jukheon-Silheombang can be used to study characteristics of acupuncture treatments given in a small town in the late 1950s. It has the significance of preserving traditional acupuncture such as the Sakwan point method and inheriting the clinical utility of Chimgu-Kyungheombang(Acupucture & Moxibustion Skills Guide) of Huh-Im.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate acupoints that appear in ancient records and use with regard to treatment to the wheezing and dyspnea. Methods : We investigated 10 ancient records from Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty that had medical references to wheezing and dyspnea. Results and Conclusions : Out of acupoints that found out to be used for treatment of wheezing and dyspnea in this study, Conception and Governor channels account for 38.9%, the three yang meridians of the foot account for 22.2% and the three tin meridians of the Hand account for 13.9%. In 10 ancient records, CV22(Tian tu) appears 5 times, CV12(Zhongwan) and ST36(Zusanli) appear 4times. A total number of acupoints that appear in the ancient records were 35. In compendium of medicine, the number of acupoints was 21. In cmpendium of acupuncture and moxibustion, the number of acupoints was 10. In the treatment of wheezing and dyspnea, not only acupuncture but also moxibustion has a great importance.
