The dominance of Hollywood`s film industry all thorough the world functions to diminish the film production of third worlds including independent and feminist film productions. This essay discusses the suppressive impact of mainstream Hollywood films on female and minority values and then thereby suggests the necessity of an alternative cinema. Hollywood films have idealized the obedient and, at the same time, sexually attractive female figures for the masculine desire. The critique of capitalistic and patriarchic Hollywood cinemas leads to seek for the production of alternative cinemas in which the values of women and minorities are not endangered. Produced by a third world, namely Australia, woman director Jane Campion, The Piano can be read as an alternative cinema to Hollywood films. Ada, the heroine of the film, does not have a speaking voice. Her communication with the world and other people is done through her body. The bodily communication without a speaking voice is a struggle to defend femininity in opposition to the dominant masculine order constructed by the male centered language as the Lacan`s notion of the name of the father suggests. The candid presentation of female and male bodies in the film meticulously undermines the ways of the sexual presentation of human bodies in Hollywood films. In the historical context of the film in the 19th century colonial world of Australia, the presentation of a trade privileging use values over exchange values is a critique of the Western capitalistic colonialism that has threatened the harmonious unity of man and nature in the indigenous society of Australian Aborigines.

대리모의 법적 문제점과 입법 필요성에 관한 연구

의학기술의 발달에 따라 자연적으로는 아이를 가질 수 없는 상황임에도 불구하고 보조생식술을 이용하여 자녀를 낳는 일이 가능해졌다. 한국에서는 점진적인 불임 부부의 수의 증가에 따라 대리모 문제는 점점 더 심화되고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하도 현재 국내에는 대리모 임신을 직접적으로 규제하는 법률은 없다. 해외에서는 대리모 여성들을 도구로 취급하는 문제와 더불어 여성들의 생활환경 및 건강에 대한 문제가 드러나고 있다. 그뿐만 아니라 태어난 아이가 기형이나, 장애를 가진 경우 아이의 인도를 거부하는 의뢰 부부들의 태도로 인해 아이의 인권이 유린되고 있다. 이는 우리나라에도 충분히 발생할 수 있는 문제이다. 그러므로 이러한 문제들을 미연에 방지하기 위해서라도 대리모 여성과 그 여성으로부터 태어나는 출생자의 최소한의 보호를 위한 법률은 필요한 실정이다. 출생자의 법적 지위와 관련된 사항은 일반화된 명확한 규정으로 처리하는 것이 이상적일 것이나 현행 법령이 없는 지금으로서는 법원의 해석정도가 대안이라고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 해석론에 법을 맡겨 놓는 것은 법적 안정성과 예측가능성을 크게 떨어뜨려 일반 국민의 법 생활에 지장을 초래하는바, 대리모를 통해 태어난 출생자의 지위를 명확하게 해줄 입법은 반드시 필요하다고 판단된다. 다만 대리모 문제를 전면 허용하여 국가가 직접 구체적인 규율을 통해 대리모 문제를 해결할 것인지 원칙적으로 금지하고 예외를 허용하는 방식으로 규제할 것인지에 대해서는 사회적 합의를 이끌어낸 다음 입법하는 것이 부작용을 최소화 하는 방안일 것이다. Recently, a woman bore a baby using her husband"s sperms after his death. Through development of medical technology, assisted reproductive techniques (ART) enable people who can"t become pregnant naturally to become parents. In Korea, infertile couples have gradually increased. So the problem of surrogate motherhood has been intensified. Nevertheless, there is no legislation to resolve the surrogate issue. On the outside, the problem revealed that surrogate mothers are treated like a tool. Also, surrogate mother"s health and their residential environment have already become problems. If children who were born from surrogate mothers have malformation or disability, couples who contract with surrogate mothers will refuse to retrieve them. This is intended to trample the human rights of children. This problem is likely to occur in Korea. Therefore it should legislate for surrogate motherhood and children to protect from legal dispute. About the legal status of the child whom surrogate mother gave birth to it is ideal that dealing with generalized specific rules. But there are no regulations for surrogate motherhood. In this case, we resolve the problem using the court’s decision. Relying on the court’s ruling without the law brings on a bad influence upon legal stability and predictability. Thus at least the law will have to be made in legal position for the child whom surrogate mother gave birth to. Meanwhile, the nation which allows people to have child using surrogate contract or prohibit surrogate motherhood turns on social agreement that reduce side effects of legislation.

연구논문 : 생물전환 대두 추출물의 생물학적 활성에 관한 연구

In this study, the bioconversion of soybean extract was performed using various enzymes, and then the change of biological activity before and after the bioconversion was characterized. Embryo bud of soybean was firstly extracted using hot water and then extracted again using 95% ethanol, which was named as isoflavone rich soybean extract(IRSE), and this was used for the bioconversion experiments. The bioconversion of IRSE was performed using β-glucosidase, Novozym or Accellerase, which are commercial enzymes. The change of composition of the IRSE before and after the bioconversion was determined using HPLC. The major components of IRSE were genistin and daidzin, which are the glucosides, and genistein and daidzein, which are the aglycones. After 24 hours bioconversionprocess, the major part of genistin and daidzin was converted into genistein or daidzein. The anti-oxidant activities of IRSE were determined before and after bioconversion. The bioconversion process did not influence significantly on the anti-oxidant activities of IRSE. On the other hand, various biological activities were also determined before and after the bioconversion using RAW 264.7 cell. The experimental results showed that both the NO generations in RAW 264.7 effectively after the bioconversion. Taken all together, we could conclude that the bioconversion of IRSE may be useful to the preparation for enhanced functional cosmetic raw materials using soybean extract.

Objectives : To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of Flexible brace(SpineCor Brace). Methods : CNKI, PubMed databases and Korean Journal of Oriental Medicine in 1999-2014 were searched for studies on SpineCor. This study researched 4 randomized controlled trial studies. Results : The results suggested that the SpineCor brace reduced the probability of the progression of early idiopathic scoliosis comparing with its natural history or rigid brace. But some studies showed that there is no significant difference between SpineCor and rigid brace. Conclusions : These results indicate that SpineCor have obvious effects on treatment of scoliosis and no adverse reactions, therefore we need to study more researches on SpineCor.

Objectives : The purpose of the this study is to report the improvement after Chuna manual therapy about patient with essential tremor. Methods : The patient of essential tremor was treated by Myofascial Release Technique(MRT) and Chuna manual therapy with acupuncture, cupping, Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS), herbal medicine therapy. Results : According to evaluation of Handwriting test and VAS, The patient has shown improvement aftert Chuna Manual Therapy. Conclusions : This study suggest that Chuna manual therapy with other treatment would be effective for patient of essential tremor.

The exterior painting work of apartment houses is conducted every 5 years during the buildings life cycle. It has been investigated that the construction industry has shown increase in size and volume that the potential market of the painting work is also expected to increase. The labor participating in the work is hanged to a fixed rope which sometimes lead to crash accidents. Numerous researches all over the world have been conducted in order to develop an automated technology to suggest solutions for this problem. However, it has been analyzed that the previous studies are not appropriate to be implemented in the domestic apartment houses. Thus, general and technical consideration demanded have been deducted by analyzing the properties of apartment houses. Moreover, a survey has been conducted in order to analyze the technical feasibility and actual site application. It is expected that the development of automated exterior wall painting robot overcomes suggests solutions to current problems such as labor aging and accidents which has a direct impact on productivity, quality and safety.

국내 가금 농장에서 야생조류 침입 억제 장치를 이용한 야생조류 출현율 조사 및 평가

The epidemiological investigation of outbreak in korea confirmed that the inflow of avian influenza (AI) is related to the migration of migratory birds. In this study, avian repellents instrument were implemented and developed using the visual effects of lasers in accordance with the situation of small domestic fowl farms, and monitoring cameras were installed around each instrument to investigate the frequency of wild birds appearing and evaluate the performance of the instrument. Observation showed that the appreance ratio was reduced by 95%, and no significant reduction in the intrusion prevention effect by adaptation was observed on all fowl farms. In conclusion, it is expected that the outbreak of wild bird-borne infectious diseases such as avian influenza will be decreased if the device is installed on domestic fowl farms.
