This studies were conducted to investigate the effects of rain shelter and netting on the tree growth, fruit set fruit quality of kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa). In rain shelter and net house, shoot falling wasn't occurred by strong wind, and fruit set, fruit weight and also fruit malformation, side flowering increased at the same time. In rain shelter house the increment temperature forced blooming date and increased shoot length, leaf number and diameter but in net house these tendencies were not observed. Relative light intensity of rain shelter house was higher than that of net house with standard of field culture (relative light intensity: 100%). Soluble solid content was higher in rain shelter house, and acid content was higher in net house. With the effect of rain sheltering the occurrence of bacterial bloom rot and canker significantly decreased in both rain shelter and net house but insect injury increased. These data showed that rain shelter house is more suitable for kiwi fruit culture.
Ethephon 수상처리가 참다래 과실의 숙기 및 품질에 미치는 영향

This experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of overhead irrigation of Ethrel on after-ripening of kiwi fruit, and to improve marketability and decrease operating cost as to ripen kiwi fruit at the stage of consumption. In 1994, the eight-year-old Hayward which were planted in farm field at Haenam Okchen were treated with 100ppm, 150ppm and 200ppm overhead irrigation of ethephon on September 25, September 30 and October 5 respectively. In 1995, the nine-year-old Hayward which were planted in windbreak net house at Moonlae Haenam were treated with 40, 70 and 100ppm overhead irrigation of Ethephon on October 5, October 10 and October 15 respectively. As the result of at 10 and 20 days after treatment, in 1994, the firmness was much low as to show 0.8 to 0.95kg at 10 days after treatment, 0.2 to 0.33kg at 20 days after treatment. And sduble solid content was 10.6 to 11.7˚ Bx and abscission rate was 10.3 to 35.9%. Therefore, the marketability were tended to be showed low. In 1995, as that firmness was 3.2 to 3.7kg, last soluble solid content after harvesting was 13.8 to 14.0˚ Bx and abscission rate was 0%, there was no problems in marketability and marketing. Therefore, this results were demonstrated that the treatment after October 10 in 70 to 100ppm ethephon can be improved marketability and marketing of kiwifruit.
단감의 품종별 과정부 갈변률과 과육조직의 해부학적 관찰

단감(Diospyros kaki) 저장시 문제되는 과정부 갈변은 품종마다 다른 양상을 보이고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 단감품종의 일반적인 과실의 물성특성을 파악하고, 저장 100일 후에 각 품종의 과육갈변이 세포구조에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지에 대해서 조사하였다. 단감 품종은 '부유'(Fuyu), '차랑'(Jiro), '상서조생'(Uenishiwase), '대안단감'(Daiandangam), '로-19'(Ro-19)이며 2003년 10월말에 수확해서 저장 100일 후에 조사하였다. 과실의 각 물성의 특성은 품종마다 다양하였고, '차랑'과 '로-19'는 갈변과가 관찰되지 않았고, '대안단감'의 경우 80%에 가까운 과육 갈변과가 나타났다. 과육 갈변과 발생이 많은 품종인 '부유', '상서조생', '대안단감'과, 과육 갈변과가 발생하지 않는 '차랑' 및 '로-19'와의 과피구조에는 차이가 없는 것으로 조사되었다. '차랑'은 과피층이 외표피층을 포함하여 1~2층으로 형성되어서 갈변이 유도될 만한 세포층 자체를 형성하지 못하는 것으로 보이며, '부유'는 과피층이 2~3층으로 갈변이 유도될 만한 세포층을 제공한 것으로 판단된다. 정상과와 갈변과의 전체적인 조직의 구조적인 차이는 발견되지 못하였으나, 갈변과의 경우 과육 내 소포 소기관이 구별이 되지 못했고, 세포벽의 분해가 진행되는 것으로 관찰되었다. Calyx-end browning in sweet persimmon (Diospyros kaki) fruits is the postharvest disorder during the storage and shows different proportions by the cultivars. This study was to evaluate fruit texture characteristics at harvest and to learn how browning in fruits affects the cell structures in different cultivars. Persimmon cultivars included 'Fuyu', 'Jiro', 'Uenishiwase', 'Daiandangam', and 'Ro-19', which were harvested at the end of October in 2003 and investigated after 100 days storage. Fruit texture varied with different cultivars. 'Jiro' and 'Ro-19' fruits did not have browning symptoms while 'Daiandangam' fruits had approximately 80% browning of them. There were no visual differences for the cell structure in fruit peels between fruits without browning, such as 'Jiro' and 'Ro-19', and fruits with browning, such as 'Fuyu', 'Uenishiwase', and 'Daiandangam'. The most outer layers in a 'Jiro' fruit peel arranged one to two epidermis which could not induce browning in the tissues, while 'Fuyu' had two to three layers, inducing a browning symptom. Although there were no differences for the tissue structure between browning and normal fruits, browning fruits did not have apparent cell organelle and proceeded degradation of cell walls in the flesh.
칼슘제 처리가 '부유' 단감의 무기성분, 품질 및 갈변율에 미치는 영향

This study was established to investigate the effects of Ca application on fruit mineral nutrients, quality, and browning of 'Fuyu' sweet persimmon (Diospyros kaki). Ca foliar application at 40ml/20L/tree had a greater fruit Ca concentration than did control, Ca fertigation (40ml/20L/tree), and Ca foliar application (40ml/20L/tree) coupled with IBA fertigation (40ml/20L/tree). Fruit mineral nutrient concentrations for Mg, B, and Mn were similar or lower in the foliar treatment compared to other treatments. Fruit color was not affected. Ca treatment, whether foliar applied or fertigated, was effective in maintaining fruit firmness and in decreasing the browning symptom in fruit after MA storage at $0^{\circ}C$ for 60 and 100 days. Although Ca foliar application + IBA fertigation treatment improved fruit firmness, the positive effect on the browning and decay occurrences in fruit was not shown. 본 연구는 '신고' 배나무에 Ca처리 방법을 달리 했을 때 과실 내 무기성분과 품질 그리고 갈변율에 미치는 영향에 대해서 조사하였다. Ca 엽면시비는 대조구, Ca 관주처리, 그리고 Ca 엽면시비+IBA 관주 처리에 비해 유의적으로 높은 과실 내 Ca 함량이 나타났다. 과실내 Mg와 B 그리고 Mn 농도는 Ca 엽면시비에 의해 다른 처리구에 비해 오히려 낮거나 비슷한 수준이 나타났다. 과실의 착색은 처리구간에 별다른 차이가 없었다. Ca 엽면시비와 관주처리는 저온저장 후 0, 60, 100일 후에 대조구에 비해 과실의 경도를 유지시켰고 갈변율을 감소시켰다. 저온저장 100일 후에 10일간 상온에 두었을 때도 비슷한 현상이 나타났다. Ca 엽면시비+IBA 관주 처리의 경우 대조구에 비해 과실경도를 유지시켰지만, 과실의 갈변과 부패율은 대조구와 비슷한 수치를 보여서 이에 대한 연구가 필요하다고 하겠다.
