This study investigates human nature through the character, Thomas Sutpen, in William Faulkner’s Absalom, Absalom!. This study starts with inspecting human nature as effected by material possessions and Sutpen’s psychological make-up is looked at through his process of wealth accumulation. Secondly, human nature in relation to sexual and marital interactions is examined through Sutpen’s several marriages and the abandonment of his children. Sutpen’s racism and passion for race purity, plus his seemingly cold and cruel character, will be examined throughout this study. Lastly, the nature of crime and violence will be examined through the character’s abandonment of his own blood and his attitude towards female sexuality as a means of racial reproduction.

사회적 약자의 삶에 영향을 미치는 공동체의 모형 분석: 토니 모리슨의 『고향』과 『술라』를 중심으로

The problems facing the socially vulnerable still occur and in some ways are more severe than they have been in the past even though the abundance of modern society can be said to be without precedence in human history. African-Americans also overcame the devastations of war after the American Revolution but despite the country’s rapid democratization and economic growth, social polarization continues to worsen. For this reason, the issue of how to solve the problems of the socially vulnerable needs to be perceived as a crucial focus. This paper investigates how Toni Morrison portrays the socially vulnerable individuals, as well as communities, through her novels, Home and Sula. This paper also examines the two types of African-American communities that the main characters, Frank and Cee, experience in Home and Sula and Shadrack in Sula. This paper explores how the African-American community in Home plays a significant role in overcoming individual and collective traumas. The study highlights Toni Morrison’s emphasis on the role of family and the African-American community to individuals’ ways to overcome adversity and rebuild their own African-American identity.

자동차 자동변속기 기어용 합금강의 열간 단조 성형에 따른 기계적 특성 변화에 관한 연구

This study investigated the effect of the changes in metal characteristics due to the hot forging on SCR420HB applied to ensure the optimal production of the hot-forging ratio on the mechanical properties of an automotive automatic transmission gear. The microstructural changes in the forging ratio were investigated by adjusting the forging range into multiple ranges from alloy steel. This was done in order to set the optimum forging range given the manufacturing process conditions during the hot forging of alloy steel parts with a carbon content of more than 0.8% wt. The effects of the content change in the microstructure on the mechanical properties due to the use of the part were examined.

『술라』: 공동체 가치관과 정체성 추구의 갈등

The novel Sula by Toni Morrison shows the aspects of the alienation and search for identity of female African-American in Black Community. Along with this, Morrison emphasizes womanhood, the relationships between black women and the community by examining Sula, Nel and the members of community as well as their families. One of important aspects of this novel is the process of searching for identity through the main characters, Sula and Nel. While the other characters exemplify alienation, the most revealing portrait occurs within the relationship of Sula and Nel. Sula and Nel show the opposing aspects of identities. While Sula reveals her selfness and creativeness to the black community and abandons the cultures and rules of the black community, Nel shows her the value of morality and responsibility to the community covering her own instinct values. For this, Sula is defined as evil image but Nel, good. Sula and Nel offer their co-support to each other as their differing personalities fold together into one unit. Nel the calm entity, combines with Sula`s more flighty, emotional style. They even fit into each other`s homes, seeing what one lacks the other has. Ten years later, when Sula and Nel reconnect, the difference between their existences is so vast they cannot truly become a support for one another again. Sula and Nel never truly achieve this sense of wholeness because there is no communal support for their development. Though Sula and Nel fail to connect in the final scene as Sula is dying, finally weeping at Sula`s grave, Nel meets herself.

토니 모리슨의 『자비』에 나타난 트라우마와 애착행동

The purpose of this study is to analyze the main characters" traumatic experiences and attachment behaviors in A Mercy written by Toni Morrison. A Mercy is the story about the era of slavery in America in the 1680s. Females need the protection of men and experience difficulties in being independent in those days. Most of the main characters in A Mercy are orphans. They were abandoned by their parents for one reason or another. Because of this, they want to have attachments to compensate their maternal deprivation in their childhoods. Whatever those attachments are, they take their minds off the current situation and the overcompensation leads them to fail and experience another loss. To verify this, some psychologists" theories were brought into play including John Bowlby"s attachment theory. Bowlby insists that the experience of maternal deprivation in childhood causes attachment behaviors to grow into various kinds of obsession. Excessive attachment does not help solve their problems. Many things have happened in the main characters" lives; losing a husband, children, and lovers but they were not sure what those meant at that time because they did their best in their lives. However, the female characters eventually realize the true meanings by remembering the experiences of their childhood with their mothers and in voyages with strange female friends. They experienced motherhood and sisterhood which empowered them stand up once again. Finally they can face the threat of men and the world.

복막투석시 포도당의 이동과 한외여과 한외여과에 당 수송체가 미치는 영향

Purpose - The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of glucose transporter in peritoneal glucose and fluid transport. Methods: Male Sprague-Dawley rats were used. 5mL normal saline with(CB) and without(C) Cytochalasin B(1 ㎛) was intraperitoneally injected once. From the next day 25mL commercial dialysis solutions containing 4.25M glucose was injected into the peritoneal cavity twice a day for 8 weeks in a half of each group(CB-IP, n=6 and C-IP, n=8). The other half of each group served as control without IP(C- Control, n=7 and CB-Control, n=7). A 2 hour dwell study was performed using dialysis solutions containing 4.25Yo glucose. Intraperitoneal volume(IPV) after 2 hours of dwell was measured and peritoneal fluid absorption rate(Qa) was calculated as RISA disappearance rate. Dialysate glucose amount remaining after 2 hour dwell(DGA) was calculated and ex- pressed as 96 of the initial value. Results: IPV was significantly higher in CB than in C in both IP and Control IPV was significantly lower in C-IP than in C-Control and CB-IP while it was similar between CB-Control and CB-IP. Qa was significantly higher in IP than in Control. DGR was significantly higher in CB than in C and in control than in IP. Conclusion: Longterm peritoneal exposure to high glucose dialysis solution increased peritoneal glucose absorption and decreased ultrafiltration volume in rat. A single IP use of glucose transporter inhibitor attenuated increased glucose absorption and decreased ultrafiltration after longterm peritoneal exposure to dialysate.

원 웨이 클러치 이너 레이스의 정밀 열간 단조 공정설계에 관한 연구

In this research, we developed a process design hot-forging technology that precisely forms an inner race. The inner race transmits power to a one-way clutch of an automatic transmission and minimizes the CNC machining allowance. For a multi-stage hollow shape (inner race), we proposed several shapes of blocker and finisher for the precision hot-forging process and analyzed the forging process using DEFORM. The hot-forging process was optimized for several parameters, such as metal flow pattern, forging defect, and forming load. Blockers and finisher dies in the hot-forging process were designed to select optimal shapes from finite element analysis, and experiments were conducted to optimize the hot-forging process.

금형공구강의 표면성질 향상에 미치는 질소이온주입의 효과에 관한 연구

The ion implantation technology is generally used in order to improve surface mechanical properties, especially tribological properties, of engineering metals. In this study, experimental works were carried out to investigate the surface properties, such as hardness, wear quantity, wear rate and friction force, of a nitrogen ion implanted tool steel STD11 under dry condition. Specimens for the wear test were made to investigate the influences of the initial ion implantation temperature and the total ion radiation. Wear properties, such as the wear quantity and the wear rate, of the nitrogen ion implanted tool steel were considerably improved, especially under the low sliding speed and the low applied load.

현장성을 강화한 박물관교육 대학원 수업 모델 개발: Eisner의 예술적 교육과정을 중심으로

본 연구는 이론과 실무 능력을 겸비한 박물관교육 전문 인력을 양성하기 위하여 현장성이 강화된 하나의 박물관교육 대학원 수업 모델을 개발하여 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 수업은 박물관교육 전공 대학원생을 대상 으로 한 ‘박물관교육프로그램 개발론’으로, Eisner의 예술적 교육과정 개발모형을 적용하여 설계되었으며 현장연계과제를 기반으로 진행된다는 특징이 있다. ‘박물관교 육프로그램 개발론’ 수업은 약 5개월 동안 자료수집 및 분석, 수업안 개발, 전문가 검토 후 수정 보완의 과정을 거쳐 개발되었다. 1학기(16주) 과정으로 편성된 ‘박물관교 육프로그램 개발론’ 수업은 학생들이 현장 기반의 과제를 협업을 통해 해결하도록 설계되었다. 수업의 과제는 박물관교육 현장에 적용 가능한 실제적인 성격을 갖고 있으며, 수업에서 진행하는 세미나 및 발표 등의 활동들은 모두 과제 수행에 도움이 되도록 구성되었다. 또한 이 수업은 Eisner의 예술적 교육과정 개발모형이라는 특정 교육이론을 바탕으로 개발됨으로써, 본 수업에 참여한 학생들이 교육이론을 실제 교육 현장에서 어떻게 구현할 수 있는지를 체화하도록 하였다. 이 수업은 현장성이 강화된 과제를 수업 공동체가 함께 해결하도록 교육환경을 조성하기 때문에, 수업 대상자들은 박물관교육 이론에 대한 현장 실무 감각을 익힐 수 있으며 박물관교육 분야의 실천공동체로서의 정체성을 강화하는 기회를 얻게 될 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of this study is to develop and present an instructional model of the graduate school of museum education enhancing the field experience in order to nurture museum education professionals who have both theoretical and practical skills. The ‘development of museum education programs’ class presented in this paper was developed for graduate students majoring in museum education, designed by applying Eisner s artistic curriculum model and focused on carrying out field-based projects. This class was developed for about 5 months through the process of data collection and analysis, the design of a lesson plan, and the revision of the plan after experts review. In this class organized into 1 semester (16 weeks), graduate students will work on their field-based assignments through collaboration. The assignments are practical to be applied to the real museum context, and the class activities such as seminars and presentations are all designed to help to carry out students field-based tasks. In addition, this class was developed on the basis of a specific educational theory, namely Eisner s artistic curriculum; thus, students will be able to learn how an educational theory can be implemented in a real education setting. Since the learning community of this class solves the substantial tasks, the students who participate in this class will be able to acquire a practical sense of the field of museum and get an opportunity to strengthen their identity as a community of practice in the field of museum education.
