Purpose: To report the clinical results of moxifloxacin mixed augmented amniotic membrane transplantation (AMT) in 2 patients with perforating infectious keratitis. Case summary: Moxifloxacin mixed augmented amniotic membrane transplantations were performed in 2 patients with rapidly deteriorating deep perforated bacterial keratitis. All patients preserved their eyesight. Complete re-epithelization over the amniotic membrane were observed within a month. The corneal surfaces were healed with opacity, and there were no active infectious infiltrations or recurrences for 3 months after application. Conclusions: Moxifloxacin mixed augmented AMT has proven to be successful both tectonically and physiologically for cases with perforating active bacterial keratitis. `Purpose: To report the first cases of Descemet’s stripping endothelial keratoplasty in patients with pseudophakic bullous keratopathy. Methods: Four eyes of 4 patients who had corneal edema from pseudophakic bullous keratopathy were enrolled. We performed femtosecond laser-assisted Descemet's membrane stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK). We then evaluated preoperative and postoperative best corrected visual acuities (BCVA), manifest refractions, keratometries, topographic astigmatisms, corneal pachymetries, and perioperative complications. Results: The mean follow-up period was 6 months. Three of the four eyes had successful transplantations. Since the operation, these patients have shown improvement in visual acuity and have recovered from corneal edema. However, in one patient, the transplanted corneal disc was dislocated, and he needed an additional procedure for reattachment. Conclusions: The lack of corneal incisions or sutures in DSEK was helpful for maintaining corneal curvature and globe integrity after surgery. The surgery resulted in rapid visual rehabilitation and prevented suture-induced complications. With a femtosecond laser, we could prepare donor cornea in an automated and standardized fashion. In conclusion, femtosecond laser-assisted DSEK has significant advantages over standard penetrating keratoplasty for patients with pseudophakic bullous keratopathy.`

Purpose: To report the results of femtosecond laser-assisted‘mushroom-shaped wound-configurized keratoplasty’in 6 patients based on the results of experimental models in rabbits’and enucleated porcine eyes. Methods: Mushroom-shaped donor corneal grafts were designed and transplanted in 3 rabbit eyes and 10 enucleated porcine eyes. The histologic findings were observed and wound burst pressure compared between penetrating keratoplasty (PKP) and mushroom-shaped keratoplasty. The‘mushroom-shaped wound-configurized keratoplasty’was subsequently performed in 6 eyes of 6 patients. Results: In all eyes of the rabbits, histologic findings showed stable wound structure. In the porcine models, mushroom-shaped keratoplasty showed a better resistance to IOP than PKP after complete suture. Patients who underwent the surgery showed an improvement of over 2 lines in Snellen visual acuity after the operation. The mean follow-up period was approximately 11 months. Complete suture removal was performed within 6 months and accurate and stable wound structure was identified. Conclusions: Wound-configurized keratoplasty with femtosecond laser and mechanical dissection’has shown several advantages in the lamellar structure of the wound. Stable wound structure, less astigmatism, rapid suture removal and visual rehabilitation was achieved.

일차성 감염으로 발생한 단순포진바이러스의 가장자리 각막궤양 1예

Purpose: To report a case of peripheral ulcerative keratitis in a case of primary herpes simplex infection. Case summary: A 7-year-old male complaining of pain, redness, and decreased vision in the left eye 5 days in duration visited our clinic. The patient had also vesicular lesions over the edematous left upper eyelid. Slit-lamp examination revealed peripheral ulcerative keratitis with stromal infiltration involving the superior peripheral cornea. Corneal sensation in the left eye was decreased. The patient was advised to use topical and oral antiviral agents and a topical steroid. After 5 days of follow-up, the corneal lesions were decreased and vesicles were absent. Six months later, only minor opacities remained in the cornea. Conclusions: We report the first case report in Korea of peripheral ulcerative keratitis with blepharoconjunctivitis presented as primary herpes simplex infection which responded to antiviral and steroid treatment in a young male. Angiomyxolipoma is a rare variant of lipoma, which is described by Mai, 1996, at first. The nine cases of which have been reported to date. Microscopically, the lesion consists of adipose tissue with the paucicellular myxoid areas and fat tissue with numerous thin, dilated, and congestive blood vessels. The reported cases mostly located to the superficial layer on the scalp, subungual, extremities in adults. We report one case of angiomyxolipoma located in the submuscular and parosteal area in the distal femur around knee joint in a child.

슬관절 후방 십자 인대에서 기원한 건막 거대 세포종: 1예 보고

국소형 거대 세포종은 주로 지 관절의 활액막에서 호발하는 것으로 알려져 있으며 슬관절 내에서는 드물게 발생하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 병리학적으로 다핵의 거대 세포를 특징적으로 가지는 질환으로 완전 절제 시 재발율은 낮다. 슬관절 내에 발생하는 경우 무증상에서 간헐적 잠김 증상까지 다양하게 나타날 수 있으며, 관절경적으로 완전 절제가 가능하나 불완전 절제 시 45%까지 재발하는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 저자들은 후방 십자 인대의 전연에 발생한 거대 세포종 1예를 관절경 하에서 절제 후 병리학적으로 확진하여 이를 보고하고자 한다.

Purpose: To compare the corneal wetting properties of balanced salt solution (BSS) and ophthalmic viscosurgical device (OVD) during cataract surgery. Methods: The patients with senile cataract were randomly assigned to receive either BSS or viscous dispersive OVD for maintaining optical clarity during phacoemulsification. Intraoperative factors (VAS pain score, occurrence of corneal punctate epithelial erosions (PEE)) and postoperative factors (visual acuity, Oxford staining score, changes in endothelial cell counts, corneal thickness and volume) were compared. Results: Twenty-two eyes were assigned to the BSS group and; 33 eyes were assigned to the OVD group. There were no significant differences in demographic variable between the 2 groups. Intraoperative PEE was observed in 6 eyes in the BSS group and in 2 eyes in the OVD group. The incidence of PEE in the OVD group was significantly lower than in the BSS group (p = 0.045). There were no significant differences in other parameters (VAS pain score, postoperative factors). Conclusions: Corneal wetting with OVD (Discovisc<sup>®) provides better surgical view and reduces mechanical damage to the corneal surface without additional material or cost than BSS.

무방부제성 플루오로메토론 0.1% 점안액의 안구건조증에서의 효과 및 안정성 비교

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of topical unpreserved 0.1% fluorometholone (FML) ophthalmic solution in patients with dry eye syndrome. Methods: Patients with mild to moderate dry eye syndrome were divided into the control group (Group I), topical unpreserved 0.1% FML group (Group II), and topical preserved 0.1% FML group (Group III). Intraocular pressure (IOP), Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI), tear film break-up time (TF-BUT), Oxford stain score (OSS), and tear osmolarity (Tosm) were evaluated at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks (Trial 1). Patients with severe dry eye syndrome were divided into 1% methylprednisolone (MP) group (Group I) and 0.1% unpreserved FML group (Group II). Same parameters were evaluated in both groups (Trial 2). Results: In clinical trial I, OSS scores of Group II were lower than other groups (p < 0.05). For severe dry eye patients in clinical trial 2, there were no significant differences in all parameters between the 2 groups. Conclusions: Topical unpreserved 0.1% fluorometholone was shown to be an effective and relatively safe treatment in patients with dry eye syndrome.

영한 게임 번역에서의 명시화에 관한 고찰 - 게임 ‘리그 오브 레전드’를 중심으로 -

본 연구는 원본 텍스트의 특정 정보를 번역 텍스트에서 더욱 명료하게 드러내기 위해 활용되는 번역 전략인 ‘명시화’가 게임 번역에서는 어떻게 활용되어 게임 이용자에게 게임 이용에 필요한 정보를 제공하는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 본고에서는 명시화를 실행하기 위해 활용될 수 있는 ‘추가’와 ‘대체’ 번역 방식이 게임 번역에서는 어떠한 방식으로, 어떠한 정보를 명시화하고 있는지를, 게임 ‘리그 오브 레전드(League of Legends)’의 등장인물의 대사, 등장인물의 능력, 장비 아이템에 관한 설명 텍스트를 사례로 하여 살펴보았다. 그 결과 게임 이용자 간의 대결이 주가 되는 장르의 게임 번역에서는 어휘의 삽입 혹은 대체를 통해 게임 조작과 관련된 정보를 명시화하는 것을 우선시하고 있으며, 게임 조작과 관련된 정보를 명시화하기 위해 게임 세계관, 문화와 관련된 정보는 일부 희생될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. This paper investigates how information game users needs to play game is offered to game user by applying the notion of explicitation toward translated game texts. By using League of Legends" Character lines, Character Abilities and Equipment Description texts as a case, this paper focused on how "Insertion(addition)" and "Replacement" method are applied toward game translation and which information is being explicitated. As a result, this paper found out that translation on Player vs. Player genre game, explicitation occurs by adding or replacing words containing information needed, and information about game control was prioritized among other information related with game universe and culture.
