저자들은 동시성 비소세포폐암(편평세포암 및 선암)환자에서 이후 속발성 소세포폐암으로 진단 보고된 다발성 원발성폐암 환자를 경험하여 이를 보고하는 바이다. Multiple primary lung cancers are characterized as either synchronous (detected or resected simultaneously) or metachronous (defined by a time interval between the detection of a subsequent primary lesion). The diagnosis of multiple primary lung cancers requires the temporal, histologic, and anatomic classification of tumors or simultaneous detection of two tumors. The incidence of multiple primary lung cancers has been increasing recently due to the widespread use of imaging modalities and life extension. Here, we report a 65-year-old male patient with multiple primary lung cancers comprising three different cell types (adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and small cell carcinoma). 기술협력 파트너 다양성과 혁신성과에 대한 연구: 흡수역량 및 전유성의 조절효과를 중심으로

본 연구는 기술협력의 중요한 동기인 '학습' 관점에서 기업이 다양한 파트너 유형과 협력하는 것이 혁신성과에 도움이 되는지, 그리고 이 관계에서 학습에 영향을 줄 수 있는 흡수역량(absorptive capacity)과 전유성(appropriability)의 조절효과를 분석하였다. 다양한 협력 파트너와 협력하는 것은 다양한 파트너가 가진 지식, 정보를 습득한다는 점에서 혁신성과에 긍정적인 효과를 줄 것이라고 가정하였다. 또한, 학습을 촉진하는 흡수역량은 파트너 다양성과 혁신성과 간의 관계를 긍정적으로 조절하고, 보유한 기술을 보호하려는 수단인 전유성은 파트너로부터의 학습을 저해하는 요인으로 작용할 수 있기 때문에 다양한 파트너와 협력하는 제휴 포트폴리오와 혁신성과 간의 관계에서 흡수역량과 전유성의 조절효과를 분석하였다. 2010년 기술혁신조사 제조업 부문 데이터 중에서 우리나라 주력 산업인 기계 자동차 업종을 대상으로 실증 분석을 한 결과, 다양한 유형의 기술협력 파트너와 협력하는 것은 혁신성과에 긍정적인 영향을 주고, 전유성의 조절 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. This study analyzes whether cooperating with various types of partners contributes to a company's innovation performance as well as the moderating effect of absorptive capacity and appropriability that may affect learning in such relationship. The hypothesis is that cooperating with diverse partners will have a positive effect on the innovation performance since it acquires their knowledge and information. In addition, an analysis is conducted on the moderating effect of absorptive capacity and appropriability on the relationship between alliance portfolio consisting various partners and innovation since absorptive capacity that encourages learning is likely to positively moderate the relationship between partner diversity and innovation while appropriability, the capacity to protect the proprietary technology, is likely to undermine learning from partners. The result of the empirical analysis on Korea's key industries, machinery and automobile, using the 2010 Korea Innovation Survey(KIS) data on manufacturing shows that cooperating with various types of technology partners has a positive effect on innovation performance and moderating effect on appropriability.

건선에 동반된 림프부종은 매우 드문 질환으로 아직까지 원인과 치료가 명확하게 제시되지 않았으나 건선의 만성 염증 반응과 관련되어 발생하고 염증 반응을 억제하여 호전될 수 있는 질환으로 생각할 수 있겠다. 본 증례는 건선성 관절염이 없이 건선에 동반된 림프부종으로는 국내외로도 첫 증례보고로 생각되며 향후 건선에 동반된 림프부종의 병리기전을 밝힐 때 중요한 단서가 될 수 있을 것으로 생각한다. 림프부종의 진단을 위하여 자기공명영상 검사와 혈류 초음파 검사 및 림프신티그라피를 시행하였고 사이클로스포린을 투여하여 건선과 림프부종이 함께 호전된 것을 경험하였기에 보고한다. Lymphedema is a rare but known complication of psoriatic arthritis and other inflammatory arthritides. Only a few cases associated with psoriatic arthritis have been reported, but none showed psoriasis was the sole factor. The precise etiology is, as yet, unknown, but many different mechanisms are likely to cause lymphedema in psoriatic arthritis, such as lymphatic vascular damage and perilymphatic accumulation of inflammatory material. Various immunosuppressive drugs have been assessed in treating this condition. Here, we report the case of an 85-year-old man with psoriasis presenting with a rare complication of bilateral lymphedema in the lower extremities. Lymphedema as well as psoriasis improved with cyclosporine. (Korean J Med 2014;87:115-119)

Itaewon district is a unique place of daily life in Seoul. As the earliest multi-cultural space gathering Koreans and foreigners all the way, Itaewon have been windows to breathe global change and new fashion. Since the Korean Independence, in particular, with the establishment of US army base in Yongsan-gu, Itaewon became a place of entertainment for US army and shopping area of imported items for Koreans. Moreover with the opening of Seoul Central Mosque in Hannam-dong in 1976, Itaewon became more exciting area coexisting two different culture of America and Islam. As the place for shopping, tourism, entertainment, English speaking, Muslim meeting, disorder of night, the image of Itaewon was intensified. From 2000`s, we witnessed a dramatic change in Itaewon from American image culture to Islamic culture. The moving of US army base to other place and the huge influx of Muslims change the traditional function and image of Itaewon. Many bars and liquor shops are closed, instead Muslim restaurants and halal shops occupied the empty shops. Along the street of Itaewon Fire Station to Mosque, more than 20 Muslim shops opened and do dynamic business. Around Mosque, with new Muslim settlers from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Niigeria, and Indonesia, Muslim town is under establishment. These sudden changes, of course, make a great influence to native Korean settlers of and Korean visitors to Itaewon. As a melting pot of three different culture-Korean, American, Islamic, current situation and future prospect of Itaewon give extraordinary concern to many researchers. Through such anthropological approaches as intensive interview and participation observation, this article is designed to survey the reaction of Islamization process of Itaewon from three other parties-native settlers, immigrant Muslims, Korean visitors.
건피증을 동반한 당뇨병 환자의 표피내 포도당 농도 및 Hexokinase 활성도 변화

It is well estabilshed that the xerosis is closely related to diabeic pruritus. Although the causes of xerosis are thought to bie the abnormalities of sweating and autonomic nervous system, the exact mechanism of the xerosis in diabetic skin is still unknown. This study was designed to investigate the possible derangement of glucose metabolism in the skin of diabetes mellitus patients with xerosis. The epidemal glucose content and hexokonase activities were masured in the skin samples obtained from normal individuals and diabetes mellitus patients with xerosis The epidermal glucose content was measured by the enzymatic cycling method. The enzymatic activities of hexokinase were assayed by fluorometric method. The epidermal glucose content of diabetic patients increaed approximately twice [27.46+9.52 (mmole/kg /dry weight) that of normal individuals [13.90+4.79(mmole/kg /dry weight)] (p<0. 0001). The epidermal hexokinase activities of diabetes patients were significantly decreased [0.56+0.15(mole/hr/kg/dry weight)] compared to that of normal indivduals [0.96+0.24(mole/hr/kg dry weight)] (p<0.0001). There were no significant differences in the epidermal glucose content and enzyme activities of hexokinase between the diabetic patients with: erosis and diabetic patients without xerosis. These data indicated that decreased activities of hexokinase could reduce the glucose phopkiorylation and uptake into keratinocytes, and which could lead to accumulat. glucose in the interstitial space of diabetic epidermis. And the decreased hexokinase activities may exert on lipid metabolism and glycolysis of diabetic epiidermis, because hexokinase is a key enzyme of hexose monophosphate pathway and glycolysis.
