This study deals with the case of a fixed floating structure(FFS) at the mouth of a rectangular harbor under the action of waves represented by the linear wave theory. Modified forms of the mild-slope equation is applied to the propagation of regular wave over constant water depth. The model is extended to include bottom friction and boundary absorption. A hybrid element approximation is used for calculation of linear wave oscillation in and near coastal harbor. Modification of the model was necessary for the FFS. For the conditions tested, the results of laboratory experiments by Ippen and Goda(1963), and Lee (1969) are compared with the calculated one from this model. The cases of flat cylinderical structures, both fixed and floating, were taken to be in an intermediate water depth.

We proposed a new algorithm to improve the calculation speed of forward ray tracing method which was quite a problem in conventional Monte Carlo algorithm. To verify the accuracy and the effect of improving calculation speed, we directly compared integrating sphere characteristics with conventional ray tracing algorithm under the same condition which was referred in a reference paper. By applying new algorithm to an absolute reflectometer, we calculated the degree of errors which were caused by baffle and port characteristics to find optimal system design condition.

적분구를 활용하여 디스플레이 및 조명용 면 광원의 전광선속을 측정하는 방법에 대하여 광학 시뮬레이션을 통해 면 광원의 크기 및 배광 분포에 따른 전광선속 값의 변화를 예측하였다. 이를 통해 면 광원의 배광 분포와 검출기와 발광면의 상호 위치 및 면 광원 자체 차폐 효과에 따른 상황별 오차 분석 및 최적의 측정 조건 등을 도출하였다.

Wireless Visible Light Communication is the technology that enables communication using LED illumination Infrastructure instead of existing illumination such as incandescent lamp or fluorescent light. Because VLC uses light for communication, it has no problem of frequency permission and is harmless to human body. It is also possible to check the communication through eye. So VLC can be used as a supplement to the Radio Frequency communication, Infrared in indoor environment. So far, researchers on the LED Visible light communication have focused on the increasing transmission speed, transmission distance, modulation method. However, there is few research of main factors that influence on system performance. System performance has been mainly predicted through simulation. In this paper, I recognized that these factors such as outside light noise, obstacle, LED panel position or emitted angle have a great impact on wireless communication system. So I experimented VLC system by changing distance and position to discover location suitable for BER regulation.

선박을 통한 세계교역 증가에 따라 침입외래종(Invasive Alien Species, IAS)로 인한 해양생태계파괴 및 사회경제적 피해가 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 특히 선체표면과 틈새구역(Niche Area)에 부착된 해양생물의 이동은 외래종침입 문제뿐만 아니라 선박의 마찰저항을 증가시켜 운항효율감소 및 온실가스배출 증가를 유발한다. 국제해사기구(IMO)는 최근 선체부착생물 통제 및 관리에 대한 지침 개정작업에 착수하였고 뉴질랜드와 미국 캘리포니아는 이미 자국법으로 선체부착생물 관리를 규제하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 국내에 입항하는 국제운항선 5척을 대상으로 선체부착생물 관리현황과 생물부착현황을 조사하였고, 생물부착종과 피도(Coverage)를 분석하여 생물부착단계등급(Level of Fouling, LoF rank)을 평가하였다. 모든 선박에서 대형부착생물(Macrofouling)이 관찰되었고 특히 선수 스러스터(Bow thruster), 빌지킬(Bilge keels) 및 해수 흡입구 격자(Sea-chest gratings)와 같은 틈새구역의 대형개체(Macro organisms) 부착이 심각한 수준으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 국내 선체부착생물 관리방안을 제시하고, 실선대상 생물부착단계등급 적용 및 검사(Inspection) 방법 개선방안을 제안하고자 하였다. With the increase in world trade through ships, the destruction of the marine ecosystem and socioeconomic damage due to invasive alien species (IAS) are continuously increasing. In particular, marine organisms attached on the hull surface and niche area increase the friction resistance of ships as well as the invasion of non-indigenous species, and causes a decrease in operational efficiency and an increase in GHG (Green House Gas) emissions. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has recently begun revising guidelines for the control and management of ship’s biofouling, and New Zealand and California in the United States are already regulating biofouling management under their own laws. This study investigated the management status of the submerged surface of ships and marine organisms attachments on five international ships entering South Korea, and analyzed species group and coverage (%) of biofouling communities to evaluate the LoF (Level of Fouling) rank. Macroflouling was observed on all ships surveyed, and specially, the adhesion of macro organisms in niche areas such as bow thruster, bilge keels and sea-chest gratings appeared to be at a serious level. This study proposed the management direction our country should take with regard to ship’s biofouling and the improvement measures for evaluation of LoF rank and inspection methods of hull and niche ares.
Fresnel Lens를 활용한 Bulb Type LED Lamp 개발

최근 필라멘트 전구를 대체할 광원으로 주목받고 있는 LED 전구에 대한 광학특성을 평가하여 그 결과 값을 광학설계 Software에 입력하고, LED 전구의 실제 측정값과 Simulation 값을 비교한 후 LED 전구의 배광분포를 변화시키기 위한 2차 광학계를 설계하였다. 이 때 2차 광학계는 LED 전구의 높이를 최소화하기 위해 평면 Lens인 Fresnel Lens로 설계하였으며, 재질을 투명한 재질과 확산재질을 적용하여 배광분포와 전광선속 등의 광학특성을 비교 분석하였다.

Recently, the use of high efficient LED lighting is recommended as a way of energy saving and environment preservation. Integrating Sphere is commonly used for LED lighting measurement especially CCT(Correlated Color Temperature). However, Integrating Sphere can cause a high measurement error because of the position of light source and ambient environment. So, We predicted the variation of Correlated Color Temperature according to measurement position on Integrating Sphere.

We investigated the influence of spectral reflectance of integrating sphere surface which is coated diffused materials such as BaSO4 or PTFE for the Correlated Color Temperature(CCT) change. We calculated the CCT variation through optical simulator by changing the spectral distribution of light and proved it can happen the big change resulted from tiny difference of reflectance.
