Tradescantia in BNL 4430 is a hybrid clone heterozygous for its flower color and extremely sensitive to ionizing radiation. Such a fact made people around nuclear power plants be interested in Tradescantia, a botanical tester of radiation effects. The pur pose of this study is to provide the botanical supplement to physical radiation monitor systems and also to ascertain biological safety regarding environmental radiation around nuclear power plants. Flowers collected periodically from three Tradescantia gardens (in Youngkwang NPP Jeonsigwan. City office and KAERI. respectively) were scored for pink mutation frequencies in stamen hair cells. Pink mutation frequencies in the study area were in the range of 0.82∼1.14. which were slightly lower than the annual mean background mutation frequency of 1.16. Statistical analysis of scoring data showed that there was no significant difference between three Tradescantia gardens (p>0.05). From the result, the environmental radiation level around Youngkwang nuclear power plant can be said biologically safe. Further study for verifying safety will make a role for improving public acceptance related to the peaceful use of nuclear power.

This study was carried out to investigate the radiation dose-response of micronucleus frequencies in Tradescantia pollen mother cells. The number of micronuclei increased in the tetrads as a result of chromosome deletion after irradiation. The maximal frequency of micronuclei showed a good dose-response relationship in the range of dose $0{\sim}50$ cGy. On the basis of the relationship, a dose of 1 cGy results maximally in two additional micronuclei in 100 tetrads. The radiation dose-response relationship of micronucleus occurrence is prerequisite to biological monitoring of radiations. The micronucleus assay can be applied to biological risk assessment of environmental toxicants, and to integrity test of water or soils of interest.

In order to overcome the key shortcoming of Hamilton's principle, recently, the extended framework of Hamilton's principle was developed. To investigate its potential in further applications especially for material non-linearity problems, the focus is initially on a classical single-degree-of-freedom elasto-viscoplastic model. More specifically, the extended framework is applied to the single-degree-of-freedom elasto-viscoplastic model, and a corresponding weak form is numerically implemented through a temporal finite element approach. The method provides a non-iterative algorithm along with unconditional stability with respect to the time step, while yielding whole information to investigate the further dynamics of the considered system.

The effects of combined irradiation of neutrons and ${\gamma}$-rays were analysed by means of Tradescantia stamen hair (TSH) assay. Potted plants were irradiated with $0{\sim}2$ Gy of ${\gamma}$-rays. For the combined treatments, the plants were irradiated with neutrons from $^{252}Cf$ 24 hours before or after ${\gamma}$-irradiation. The slopes of dose-response curves were 5.98, 6.17 and 7.48, in ${\gamma}$-rays, ${\gamma}$-rays+neutrons, and neutrons+${\gamma}$ -rays irradiated groups, respectively. The biological efficacy of radiations in the induction of pink mutations increased by 25% in neutrons+${\gamma}$-rays irradiated group, while it increased by 12% in ${\gamma}$-rays+neutrons irradiated group. The combined irradiation with two kinds of radiations results in the different efficacy of radiation depending on the order of irradiations, which is of great importance in the related fields such as sterilization and radiotherapy.

본 논문에서는 내부 운전자에게 위협이 될 수 있는 실시간 금속 물체 탐지 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 퍼지 이론를 이용하여 금속 물체를 탐지할 수 있는 색상 필터를 설계하는 알고리즘과 차량안의 특정 영역 내에서 FSCF(Fuzzy Skin Color Filter)를 이용하여 운전자의 얼굴 영역을 탐지하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한, 탐지된 동승자의 손 영역을 기점으로 색상기반 원형탐색 기법을 사용하여 최종적으로 위협을 가할 수 있는 금속물체의 후보영역을 설정하고, 제안된 금속 물체 필터를 적용하여 최종적인 금속물체영역을 탐지 한다. 마지막으로 제안된 방법은 여러 실험을 통해 내부 운전자 보호를 위한 금속물체 탐지 시스템의 우수성을 증명한다. The purpose of this paper is to design the metal object detection system for drive inside protection. To do this, we propose the algorithm for designing the color filter that can detect the metal object using fuzzy theory and the algorithm for detecting area of the driver's face using fuzzy skin color filter. Also, by using the proposed algorithm, we propose the algorithm for detecting the metallic object candidate regions. And, the metallic object color filter is then applied to find the candidate regions. Finally, we show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method through some experiments.

Congenital cystic disease of the lung represents pulmonary sequestration, congenital lobar emphysema, bronchogenic cyst and congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation. It has a variety of clinical manifestations from immediate postnatal respiratory distress to heart failure. Pulmonary sequestration sometimes causes heart failure in neonates through a shunt between an anomalous systemic feeding artery and the pulmonary venous system. We hereby report a case with both pulmonary sequestration and congenital lobar emphysema presenting with congestive heart failure and pulmonary hypertension, which improved after lobectomy. CISG와 PACL 초안 상 계약해제의 효과에 관한 비교 연구

Purpose : Contracts, by means of autonomy, are once legally binding, binding on the contracting parties to their performance obligations. Due to the breach of contract, It is necessary to release it from binding contractual relationships. The purpose of this study is to find practical implications by comparing and reviewing the CISG and the Draft of PACL regarding the effect of avoidance. Research design, data, methodology : This paper utilizes the literature research and analyzes the effects of avoidance for the CISG and the Draft of PACL, which is a study to compare differences and similarities. Results : As for restitutionary relationships, it reaffirmed that differences in theory, which seemed to be the main difference, had little effect on the exercise of rights in practice. Also, it is necessary to review the theory of a winding-up relationship as a part of the effects of avoidance under the Draft of PACL. Conclusions : The avoidance of the contract shall be exercised as a last resort, and To prevent abuse of the avoidance, it is advisable to make arrangements between the parties on the scope and priority of the remedies covered in the Convention and the Draft.
