          Comparison of Allergenic Properties among Commercially Available House Dust Mite Allergen Extracts in Korea

          Precise allergy diagnosis and effective allergen specific immunotherapy are largely dependent on the quality of allergen extract. Anew extract of Dermatophagoides farinae was commercially developed by Prolagen. The allergenic properties of the new extractwere compared with those of other commercial products. The allergenic properties of the new extract were compared accordingto protein concentration, protein profiles, major allergen (Der f 1) contents, and allergenic potency to those for three commerciallyavailable extracts imported in Korea (Jubilant HollisterStier Allergy, Lofarma S.p.A., and Stallergenes Greer). Protein concentrationsvaried up to 2.62-fold (0.404 to 1.057 mg/mL), and Der f 1 contents varied up to 11.3-fold (3.597 to 40.688 μg/mL). Protein profiles of the extracts showed no major discrepancies, although there were some differences in SDS-PAGE band intensities,reflecting protein concentrations. Allergen potency ranged from 37038 to 60491 PAU/mL. The Prolagen product was highestin terms of protein concentration and allergen potency. The Lofarma product displayed Der f 1 content similar to that in Prolagen(19.4 μg/mg vs. 19.3 μg/mg). Endotoxin levels varied 8.9-fold (1020 to 8985 EU/mL). The newly developed house dust mite extractshowed equal or better allergenic properties than available commercial extracts. This new product may be useful for better diagnosticsand allergen-specific immunotherapeutics.

          Digital Imaging Fiber-Optic Trans-Illuminational과 Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope를 이용한 초기 법랑질 우식증 연구

          최근 새로 개발된 DIFOTI(Digital Imaging Fiber-Optic Transillumination) 시스템의 초기 법랑질 우식증 진단 능력을 평가하고 임상 적용의 가능성을 타진해 보고자 본 연구를 시행하였다. 임상 연구는 유치 탈락 시기에 근접한 학령기 아동 23명을 대상으로 DIFOTI 이미지 촬영을 시행하고 자연 탈락된 유치 20개를 수거하여 CLSM 촬영 결과를 바탕으로 민감도(sensitivity)와 특이도(specificity)를 산출하였으며 실험실 연구에서는 수거된 40개의 유치를 대상으로 Carbopol 인공 우식 용액으로 1, 2, 4 그리고 8일간 탈회시킨 후 각각 방사선 사진, DIFOTI 이미지 그리고 CLSM와 비교 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 구내에서 촬영한 DIFOTI 이미지의 민감도는 0.61이었고, 특이도는 0.63이었다. 2. 실험실에서 인공 탈회시킨 유치의 협설면 초기 우식증에 대한 DIFOTI 이미지의 민감도는 0.71였고, 특이도는 0.75였다. The purpose of this study were to evaluate the efficacy of the newly developed Digital Imaging Fiber-Optic Trans-illumination (DIFOTI) system in detecting carious lesions in vivo as gold standard with confocal laser scanning microscopy and compared the efficacy of traditional radiography and DIFOTI system in vito as gold standard with confocal laser scanning microscopy, too. For the in vivo study, the subject pool consisted of 23 grammar school age patients just prior to entering the mixed dentition phase Each patient was given a DIFOTI examination of the anterior and posterior teeth. During $6{\sim}8$ months, the naturally expire primary teeth were collected and the efficacy of DIFOTI system was compared with confocal laser scanning microscopy. For in vitro study, 40 primary teeth were collected and decalcified by Carbopol decalcification solution for 1, 2, 4 and 8 days. Every experiment period, all teeth were DIFOTI examined and sectioned to take an image of confocal laser scanning microscopy Sensitivity and specificity were calculated from the result of DIFOTI examine and confocal laser scanning microscopy analysis. The results are as follows : 1. From the in vivo study, the sensitivity of DIFOTI examine was 0. 61 and specificity was 0.63. 2. From the in vivo study, the sensitivity of DIFOTI examine was 0.71 and specificity was 0.75.

          On the stochastic simulation procedure of estimating critical hydraulic gradient for gas storage in unlined rock caverns

          We investigated some aspects of spatial variabilityand their effect on critical hydraulic gradient which is essential forgas containment of underground storage caverns. Monte Carlotechnique can be effectively aplied to obtain an aproximate solutionuniform medium. For the stochastic simulation we generatedhydraulic conductivity field on the selected grid resolution usingHYDRO_GEN with estimated (based on actual data) ln-K statis-tics with mean, variance, anisotropic integral scales. In this study,among various covariance functions, a Gaussian covariance func-tion (GCF) was used. To find the critical value of the hydraulicgradient, probability density functions (PDFs) using 1000 outputsat an interested cell were developed. The results obtained in thisstudy were compared with previous results for an exponentialcovariance function (ECF). It was found that in a stationary ln Konly on the variance and integral scale of the ln K field but also onthe shape of its covariance function. From these results we canconclude that the critical range of hydraulic gradient is signifi-cantly affected by the type of covariance function. Thus, whencritical hydraulic gradient is to be determined one should considershape of covariance function as well as statistical parameters suchas mean, variance and correlation scale.

          This paper proposes the design of a Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy robust controller based on disturbance observer which is strong external disturbance for ship lift feedback fin stabilizer. The TS type fuzzy logic systems are employed to approximate uncertain functions. Our approach is based on a robust control algorithm for TS fuzzy modeling systems to bounded uncertain addictive disturbances. TS fuzzy disturbance observer can estimate the uncertain external disturbance. We apply the proposed controller to TS fuzzy ship lift feedback fin stabilizer. Simulation results show that proposed robust control method reduces the disturbance influence.

          장애인 은퇴선수 생활·취업실태 및 은퇴지원 실태조사

          Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the life, employment status and retirement support needs of retired athletes with disabilities. Method: A total of 271 samples were selected using the stratified radio sampling method based on the athlete registration status of the Korean Physical Education Association. The data of retired disabled athletes were collected using snowball extraction method through the first study participants. Results: First, most of the disabled retirees lived in the metropolitan area, and the average monthly income was less than 2 million won. Second, regarding occupation decision priorities for retired athletes with disabilities, it was in the order of compensation (wage), employment stability, working conditions, and development potential of 7.7%. Supporting beneficiaries were in the order of overall, more than 10 years of player experience, more than 5 years of player experience, members of national team and members of corporate team. Conclusion: The findings of this study are meaningful to provide basic data for life, employment and retirement support for retired athletes with disabilities.

          유도 맞잡기 유형에 따른 양손업어치기의 동작의 운동학적 분석[ I ]

          The purpose of this study was to analyze exercise related mechanical variables according to performance levels and Kumi-kata types in elite judo players (G1) and non-elite judo players, namely university players (G2). To achieve this purpose, three players in G1 whose main special skill was Morote-Seoinage and three university judo players(G2) was selected as comparative group. Then they were examined for distinguishing A and B types of Kumi-kata. Analyzed variables were the time required to show skills, knee degree, elbow degree. After analysing this study, conclusions were derived as follows. 1. In total necessary time of showing skills according to group of Kumi-kata type, G2 was longer than G1 in both A type (20.9%) and B type (23.7%). In necessary time of phase, in only 3P, G1 was shorter than G2 in A type (50%) and B type (75%). There was no difference in time required of 1P and 2P according to Kumi-kata type of group and in only 3P, B type was shorter than A type in both B type (75%) of G1 and B type (50%) of G2 2 There was no difference in elbow degree of offensive arm according to group of Kumi-kata type, however in A and B types, G1 could use skills by extending in kake phase, but G2 could use skills by bending. Elbow degree of offensive arm according to Kumi-kata type of group showed difference in E1. and F2 of G1. A and B types of G1 extended elbow degree in Kake phase, but G2 bent elbow degree so exercise program which could movable range extensively in Kake phase is needed.
