Purpose: Liver resection with colorectal liver metastasis widely accepted and has been considered safe and effective therapeutic option. However, the role of liver resection in breast cancer with liver metastasis is still controversial. Therefore, we reviewed the outcome of liver resection in breast cancer patients with liver metastasesin a single hospital experiences. Materials and Methods: Between January 1991 and December 2006, 2176 patients underwent breast cancer surgery in Gangnam Severance Hospital. Among these patients, 110 cases of liver metastases were observed during follow-up and 13 of these patients received liver resection with potential feasibility to achieve an R0 resection. Results: The median time intervalbetween initial breast cancer and detection of liver metastasis was 62.5 months (range, 13-121 months). The 1-year and 3-year overall survival rates of the 13 patients with liver resection were 83.1% and 49.2%, respectively. The 1-year and 3-year overall survival rates of patients without extrahepatic metastasis were 83.3% and 66.7% and those of patients with extrahepatic metastasis were 80.0% and 0.0%, respectively (p=0.001). Conclusion: Liver resection for metastatic breast cancer results in improved patient survival, particularly in patients with solitaryliver metastasis and good general condition.

전기화학적 염소 발생 공정에서 염소 발생 효율을 증대시키는 것은 산업적으로 매우 중요한 과제 중 하나이며 전극 물질의 개발이 핵심적인 역할을 담당하고 있다. RuO<sub>2</sub>, IrO<sub>2</sub>와 같은 DSA 전극은 산소발생 과전압이 낮아 전기화학적 염소 발생 공정에 널리 사용된다. 그러나, Ru, Ir 과 같은 귀금속이 사용되기 때문에 제조 비용이 높다는 한계점이 있다. 한편, 최근 개발된 blue-TiO<sub>2</sub> nanotube array (blue TNT)는 기존 DSA 전극에 비해 저렴한 물질을 사용하여 염소를 발생시킬 수 있다는 장점이 있지만 DSA 전극보다 염소 발생 효율이 낮다는 한계점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 RuO<sub>2</sub>를 blue TNT 전극 위에 코팅하여 RuO<sub>2</sub> 와 blue TNT 에서 동시에 염소를 발생시켜 효율을 높였다. RuO<sub>2</sub> 가 코팅된 blue TNT 전극에서 기존의 RuO<sub>2</sub> 전극, blue TNT 전극에 비해 염소 발생 효율이 높게 나타남을 확인하였다. 이는 RuO<sub>2</sub> 에서 염소가 발생하는 것과 동시에 blue TNT 에서도 염소가 발생할 수 있기 때문이며, 두 개의 서로 다른 물질에서 염소 발생 경로가 다르게 나타난다. 염소 농도 및 ㆍOH 생성 정도 등을 측정하여 RuO<sub>2</sub> 에서는 염소 이온이 직접 산화되어 염소가 발생되고, blue TNT 에서는 ㆍOH 가 생성된 후 ㆍOH 에 의해 간접적으로 염소가 생성됨을 확인하였다.

The goal of this research is to determine the variables which influence adolescents' environmental-friendly clothing consumption behaviors. A questionnaire was prepared to survey 768 students in 8 different middle and high schools throughout Seoul. The results of the studies are as follows; First, the experiences in environmental activities were higher than the average. Second, the level of environmental-friendly values was found to be higher than the average. Among the values, environmental-preservation scored the highest, whereas selfishness scored the lowest. Third, adolescents have the strongest desire to express their individuality by means of clothing, which includes comfortableness, price, fashion, and brand. Fourth, the environmental-friendly clothing consumption awareness was average. In this field’s subcategory, disposal awareness was above the average. But when buying clothes, the awareness of environmental problems was lower than the common level. Fifth, adolescents were lower in environmental-friendly clothing consumption behavior than the common level. In the subcategory, using behavior and disposal behavior were on the average, but buying behavior was executed in an anti-eco-friendly manner. Sixth, adolescents' price pursuit and clothing disposal consciousness were important factors of environmental-friendly clothing consumption behavior.
