여러 전통들과 초월의 재해석: 정 재식, 「한국의 종교, 사회, 윤리의 전통」(송 재룡/임 영빈 옮김, 2020)

이 글은 정 재식의 「한국의 종교, 사회, 윤리의 전통—비교·역사적 자기 이해와 그 너머」에 대한 비평 논문이다. 정 재식의 책은 단일 민족 신화를 넘어서서 다양한 종교 전통이 혼재하며 서로 상호작용하였던 역사를 보여준다. 이 여러 전통들이 현재 한국인의 영향사이다. 이 글은 정 재식이 이론적 배경으로 소개했던 가다머와 리꿰르에게서 ‘지평 융합의 장’을 분석틀로 끌어냈다. 분석틀에 따라 정 재식의 책을 전통주의와 전통타파주의, 혼합주의와 근본주의를 중심으로 요약하고, 정 재식이 초월의 개념을 재해석하고 있음을 드러냈다. 한국의 종교전통은 융합과 변이를 거쳐온 혼합주의적 성격을 특징으로 한다. 초월은 근본주의적 입장에서 전통을 정복하는 것이 아니라 혼합주의적 접근으로 전통을 새롭게 함으로써 가능한 것이다. 현대 한국 종교와 사회에서 공공선에 대한 관심이 사라져 가고 이타적이고 인간적인 공공의 덕이 퇴색해졌지만, 공동체주의적인 가치와 인간에 대한 동감으로 상호 의존적인 글로벌 공동체에서 다른 사람과 같이 살아가는 것이 현재 한국 종교의 중요한 과제이다. 이 글은 이 책을 관통하는 핵심 줄기가 종교 지평들의 혼합주의적 융합임이라고 포착하였다. 한국 사회가 여럿의 이질적 구성들이 여러 형태의 문화 속에서 살아가고 있는 다층적 다문화 사회라는 현실에서 하나의 의미있는 해석이 될 수 있을 것으로 생각한다. 그가 은근하게 표현하였던 초월의 개념을 초월의 재해석으로 명료화했다는 점도 이 책과 만날 독자들에게 작은 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다. 아쉬운 점은 버틀러의 이론을 끌어들여 하나하나의 지평들이 서로 함께 이질적으로 존재하며 공존하고 융합하는 수행성의 모습으로 이 책의 내용을 분석해보고 싶었지만 그러하지 못했다는 점이다. This paper is the review of Chai-sik Chung’s The Korean Tradition of Religion, Society, and Ethics translated by Francis Jae-ryong Song and Yong Bin Lim. His book goes beyond the myth of a single ethnic group and reveals the history of the interplay of various religious traditions. Many of these traditions have affected and influenced Koreans. This article draws the "field of fusion of horizons" as an analytical framework from Gadamer and Ricoeur, introduced by Chai-sik Chung as a theoretical background. According to the framework of analysis, his book was summarized focusing on traditionalism and iconoclasts of anti-traditionalism, syncretism and fundamentalism, and revealed that he reinterpreted the concept of transcendence. Korean religious traditions have syncretistic characteristics that have gone through fusion and transformation. Transcendence is something possible not by conquering tradition from a fundamentalist standpoint, but by renewing it with a syncretistic approach. Watching the plenty of signs in the current Korean religion and society that concern for the common good including altruistic, humane, and public virtues is eclipsed by waxing commercialization of life, our essential task is thaerefore living with others with more fulfilling communitarian and empathetic human concern in an interdependent global community. This article captures that the core stem that runs through this book is the syncretistic fusion of religious horizons. I think that it can be a meaningful interpretation in the reality that Korean society is a multi-layered, multicultural society in which many heterogeneous constituents live in various forms of culture. The fact that this article clarified the concept of transcendence, which he subtly expressed, through a reinterpretation of transcendence, is also expected to be of little help to the readers who will meet with this book. The unfortunate thing is that I wanted to introduce Butler"s theory of performative and try to analyze the contents of this book in the form of performativity in which each horizon exists heterogeneously, coexists and fuses with others, but it has not been done.

노인의 고독감이 성공적 노화에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 노인이 성공적인 노화를 이룩하는데 있어 고독감이 미치는 영향과 이 관계를 매개하는 변수로 자기자비의 역할을 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 조사대상은 2014년 현재 서울시내 노인종합복지관을 이용하고 있는 만 65세 이상 노인 303명이며, SPSS Macro 프로그램을 사용하여 매개효과와 그 유의성을 검증한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인이 느끼는 고독감이 클수록 성공적 노화의 정도는 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 고독감은 긍정적, 부정적 자기자비에 각각 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 고독감과 성공적 노화와의 관계에서 자기자비의 매개효과를 검증한 결과 긍정적, 부정적 자기자비를 동시에 회귀식에 투입하였을 때 긍정적 자기자비만이 유의미한 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통하여 성공적인 노년기를 영위하기 위한 방법의 하나로써 자기친절, 보편적 인간성, 마음챙김 등의 긍정적인 자기자비의 마음을 고양하는 것이 도움이 된다는 것을 알 수 있으며 이를 위한 사회복지적 개입방안을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study is examining the relationship between loneliness and successful aging, and the mediating effect of self-compassion among Korean elderly. A total of 303 elderly Koreans whose age is older than 65 and currently participating elderly community center in Seoul are participated the study. In data analyzing, SPSS Macro program was used for examining mediating effect of self-compassion and its validity. The results from the study is following. First, elderly who feels higher loneliness, shows lower degree of successful aging. Second, loneliness significantly affects both positive and negative self-compassion. Third, in final model, only positive self-compassion plays a mediator role between loneliness and successful aging. Based on these results, the study points out that positive self-compassion, such as self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness, can be a method for successful aging, and suggest social work intervention for Korean elderly.

다문화 사회의 정체성 트러블과 제주의 쿰다 문화

이 글은 정체성 이론을 탐구함으로써 단일 정체성 이론을 비판하고 다문화 사회 시대에 다중 정체성을 인정하자고 주장한다. 2장에서 단일 정체성이 혐오의 주체일 수 있다는 점을 지적하였으며, 3장에서 다문화 사회에서 다중 정체성이 인정되어야 한다고 주장하고, 4장에서 주디스 버틀러가 젠더 트러블에서 전개한 정체성 트러블 논의에 기대어 단일 정체성 문제의 해답을 찾아보고자 하였다. 5장에서는 버틀러 이론의 문화적 사례로 제주의 ‘쿰다 문화’를 살펴보았다. 쿰다 문화는 다문화 사회를 지향할 때 선택 가능한 사례가 될 수 있을 것이다. 제주 사람들은 외지인이 마을에 들어왔을 때 적극적으로 환대하지도 않지만 간섭하지도 않으면서 (드르쌍 내불멍) 스스로 자연스럽게 정착이 될 때까지 기다린다 (드르쿰는다). 제주 사람들이 외지인을 받아들이는 생활양식인 쿰다 문화는 개별성을 인정하고 존중하며 (질루 질썩) 궨당이 되어 함께 살아가는 것이다. This paper examines theories on identity in order to criticize the single or unity identity theories and to insist on admitting multiple identities in multicultural era. In the process of examination, I wondered that the unity identity would be a subject of the hatred (in Chapter 2), insisted that multicultural society would need and admit multiple identities (in Chpter 3), and tried to confirm that the discussion of identity trouble in Gender Trouble by Judith Butler could be a key possible to solve the problem of the unity identity (in Chapter 4). And then I connected Butler’s theory with ‘Cumda Culture’ in Jeju island (in Chapter 5). ‘Cumda Culture’ could be an alternative case for multicultural society. When uprooted migrants comes into Jeju island, Jeju people do not care of them actively and wait for them to settle gradually and naturally (‘Dru-Ssang Nae-bul-meong’ ‘Dru-Cumda’ in Jeju language). Cumda Culture, the lifestyle for Jeju people to accept outsiders, is to live together as a ‘Guendang’ with recognition and respect for individuality.

오가피약침(五加皮藥鍼)이 류마토이드 관절염(關節炎)에 미치는 실험적(實驗的) 연구(硏究)

Objective: The purpose of this study is to observe the effect of Herbal-acupuncture with Acanthopanacis cortex Herbal-Acupuncture Solution (AC-HAS) on rheumatoid arthritis. Methods: The author performed several experimental items: it is paw thickness, weight of spleen, expression of CD4+, CD8+, B220+ in the spleen, production of IL-6, TNF-α, and examination of histology. Results: The obstain results are summarized s follows. 1. Treatment group were significantly inhibited the incidence of arthritis, hind paw edema and index of arthritis of CIA mice. 2. Treatment group were significantly decreased splenetic weight. 3. The number of CD4+, CD8+, B220+ activated cells were significantly inhibited in treatment group. 4. Treatment group were significantly decreased the amout of IL-6, TNF-α of CIA mice. 5. Treatment group were expressed form of new bone, synoviumin and new margine in histology imperison to control group. Conclusions: Taking all these observations into account, AC-HAS injection is considered to be effective in treating rheumatoid arthritis and put to practical use in future rheumatoid arthritis clinic.

경계를 넘는 이동과 함께 산다는 것

이 글은 경계와 이동, 동질과 이질에 대한 고민에서 시작되었다. 경계를 넘는 이동은 경계 안의 동질이 토해 내는 이질의 방출로 경계 안의 동질에 균열을 일으키는 이질의 유입으로 이해되곤 한다. 동질 구성체임을 자처하는 국민 국가는 경계 밖에서 유입해 들어오는 이동인들에 대한 혐오 반응을 일으키기도 한다. 이 글은 동질 구성체라는 국민 국가가 이질적 구성체임을 지적한다. 경계의 틈을 숨구멍으로 경계를 넘는 이동인의 삶을 인류사회의 호흡활동으로 인식한다. 전통문화가 사실상 다문화 현상의 전승이며, 이질적이고 혼종적인 다문화 전통임을 확인한다. 문화 충돌로 인한 사건들이 동질 공동체를 강조하는 자민족 중심주의의 근본주의적 태도에서 비롯된 것임을 지적하며, 함께 산다는 것이 가능하기 위해 이질적 구성체임을 인정하는 것이 필요하다고 주장한다. 이 글은 이질적 구성체로서의 근대국민국가 성립 과정을 역사적으로 치밀하게 분석하지 못했다는 한계를 지니고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 버틀러의 ‘어정쩡한 정체성’을 긍정하는 정치에 학술적으로 한 걸음 보태었다는 점에 의의를 둘 수 있다. 함께 산다는 것은 공동체의 이질적 구성을 인정하는 것이다. This paper is begun with a concern about borders and trans-border, homogeneity and heterogeneity. Moving over or through borders has been thought to be as a ejection of heterogeneity which could be vomitted out of the inner of one bounderies and also as an invasion of heterogeneity which could make cracks in the inner of another bounderies. Migrants coming in from outside borders have faced disgust reactions of citizens of counries claiming to be bomogeneous. This paper points out that the nation-state claiming to be homogeneous could be a heterogeneous construct. Aperture of borders is recognized as breating hole and also the life of trans-bording migrants as the breating activity of human society. It is unveiled that traditional cultures could be in fact traditions of multicultural heterogeneous hybrid aspects. Tragedy of culture crash could be come from the fundumental attitude of ethnocentrism emphasizing homegeneous community. In cunclusion, it argues that what it takes to live together is to acknowledge that every community including a nation-state is a heterogeneous community. This paper has a limitation in that it cannot historically analyze the process of establishing a modern nation-state. Neverthless it is meanigful that it added an academic step to politics that affirmed ‘ambiguous identity’ of Judith Butler. To live together is to acknowledge heterogeneous composition of the community and various parting ways in that community.

탄소나노튜브의 우수한 전기적·기계적 물성에 대한 연구와 더불어 바이오 분야에 적용하기 위한 연구가 계속해서 진행되고 있다. 탄소나노튜브 표면을 개질하여 바이오 기능화시키는 방법에 대해 연구가 진행 중이며, 이러한 표면 개질 기술로 인해 세포, 단백질, DNA 등 분자 단위의 연구를 가능하게 하였다. 본 논문에서는 탄소나노튜브의 바이오화 표면에 대한 리뷰 빛 탄소나노튜브를 기반으로 하여 질병 진료를 고감도 및 간편하게 진료할 수 있는 바이오센서의 최근 연구 동향에 대하여 살펴보았다. 특히, 여러 타입의 탄소나노튜브 기반 바아오센서 중 전기화학적 감지법에 의한 바이오센서의 최근 연구 동향 및 성균관대 나노광학분자생명공학 연구실에서 수행 중인 CNT-FET 바이오센서를 중심으로 기술하였다.

광합성을 이용한 바이오수소 생산

Energy is vital to global prosperity, yet dependence on fossil fuels as our primary energy source contributes to global climate change environmental degradation, and health problems. Hydrogen (H₂) offers tremendous potential as a clean renewable energy currency. Hydrogen has the highest gravimetric energy density of any known fuel and is compatible with electrochemical and combustion processes for energy conversion without producing carbon-based emission that contribute to environmental pollution and climate change. Numerous methodologies have been developed for effective hydrogen production. Among them, the biological hydrogen production has gained attention, because hydrogen can be produced by cellular metabolismunder the presence of water and sunlight. The green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii is capable of sustained H₂ photoproduction when grown under sulfur deprived condition. Under sulfur deprived conditions, PSII and photosynthetic O₂ evolution are inactivated, resulting in shift from aerobic to anaerobic condition in the culture. After anaerobiosis, sulfur deprived algal cells induce a reversible hydrogenase and start to evolve H₂ gas in the light. According to above principle, we investigated the effect of induction parameters such as cell age, cell density. light intensity, and sulfate concentration under sulfur deprived condition We also developed continuous hydrogen production system by sulfate re-addition under sulfur deprived condition.
