예술의상에 관한 연구 (Ⅰ)

Genres of the modern arts are expanding the overlapping area between the arts; ceramics and weaving considered as crafts are developed to the ceramic art and the fiber art, respectively. This trend has been also applied to the clothing part, which produced several new terms such as `art to wear`, `unwearable art`, `clothing sculpture` and so on. As following this tendency, the unwearable art is dwelling on the boundary of painting, fiber art and sculpture, and the clothing sculpture comes from the combination of fiber art and sculpture. While Issey Miyake`s dress made of bamboo and Foltuny`s pleats dress associated with Greek stone-column introduce the sculpture to the functional fashion design, the works of clothing sculpture become the arts by applying the sculpture to the non-functional unwearable art. Although the clothing sculpture is an interesting subject to be studied continuously for its effect on the contemporary clothing part, it is valuable enough as an unwearable art and sculpture respresenting the artist`s concept under the circumstance that the boundary between arts and design is no longer clear, i.e.,the clothing and the sculpture come across their regions each other. Furthermore, the clothing sculpture has its own value as a metapor exposing idea, feeling and spirit of the artist in the genre of the unwearable art. With a view point of the abstract clothing concept, the clothing sculpture has been taking the role expanding the clothing to the world of fine art.

Background:The action of chemokines to the vascular inflammation plays a pathogenic role in the development and maintenance of hypertension. 1) Materials and methods:In the present study, the expression of chemokine IL-8/CXCL8, MCP-1/CCL2 and RANTES/CCL5 was investigated in cultured vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC) obtained from the thoracic aorta of normotensive Wister-Kyoto rat (WKY) and spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR). We used real-time PCR and western blotting. Result:The expressions of IL-8/CXCL8, and MCP-1/CCL2 mRNA were stronger in VSMC from SHR than in WKY. However, the expression of RANTES/CCL5 was stronger in VSMC from WKY than in SHR. Expressions of CXCR1, CCR2, CD14 and PPARγ mRNA were stronger in VSMC from WKY than in SHR. Expressions of LPS-induced IL-8/CXCL8 and MCP-1/CCL2 mRNA were stronger in VSMC from SHR, but expression of LPS-induced RANTES/CCL5 was stronger in VSMC from WKY. A PPAR-γ ligand, 15-deoxy-Δ12, 14- prostaglandin J2 (15d-PGJ2) which possesses anti-inflammatory activity suppressed the expressions of LPS-induced IL-8/CXCL8, MCP-1/CCL2 and RANTES/CCL5 in VSMC from WKY and the expressions of LPS-induced MCP-1/CCL2 and RANTES/CCL5 expressions in SHR. But, the expression of LPS-induced IL-8/CXCL8 mRNA in SHR was increased by 15d- PGJ2. Angiotensin II (AngII) also induced IL-8/CXCL8 and MCP-1/CCL2 mRNA expressions in VSMC from SHR, but inhibited the expression of RANTES/CCL5 mRNA. Activities of LPS, or AngII-induced MAP kinases were stronger in VSMC from SHR than in WKY. Expression of AngII-induced IL-8/CXCL8 mRNA was associated with ERK phathway, and the expression of AngII-induced MCP-1/CCL2 mRNA was associated with p38 pathway, and the inhibition of RANTES/CCL5 mRNA by AngII was not associated with MAP Kinases pathways. Conclusion:Chemokine IL-8/CXCL8 and MCP-1/CCL2, not RANTES/CCL5, has a possibility to play a critical role in the pathogenesis of hypertension in the SHR.

누비를 응용한 의상디자인 연구

Modern clothing is approached in the level of art, and it becomes the means of expressing individuality in modern society uniformed by the development of information society. In this modern society, modern men need the recovery of humanity and expectations of handcrafted skills for the succession of tradition culture, Prior to expressing individuality, we should examine our traditional culture and combine it with western culture. Quit started to be used for practical purpose such as life items, but it is expanded to the fields of art. Used in dress and its ornaments design, quilt is often applied to the addition of aesthetic factors or cubic material feelings by transforming its warming effect. Hereby, this study has a purpose to create high value added modern dress and its ornaments design by expressing the Modern clothing is approached in the level of art, and it becomes the means of expressing individuality ree-dimensional characteristics of quilt, and applying the color combination and the surface of butterfly wings to dress and its ornaments design. The following are the results of this study. 1. The concept of quilt started for practical purposes, but it is expanded to decoration in modern times, and it is confirmed that quilt can be variously applied to handcrafted modern design. 2. Quilt removes the plane character of textile and it riches the three-dimensional material of dress and its ornaments. Applying these characteristics, the expression of transparent wings were possible with 3 transparent layers of textile. 3. The spledid color of butterfly wings are expressed by coloring oganza and felt, and the various colors of felt showed rich color gradation. 4. The form and pattern of butterfly wings are applied as modeling form and line, and the transformation, repetition and expansion of unit forms determined the form of quilting lines. By designing the characteristics of back wings for the composition line of clothing, the form characteristics of a motif could be emphasized. 5. By using felt, oganza, Damdam yarn and ostritch feathers in expressing butterfly wings, the warm material of Linbun is felt, and the tip hair of wings are expressed by croche techniques using Damdam yarn.

패션인쇄광고에 나타난 시각적 메타포(Metaphor)의 유형 및 특징에 관한 연구

오늘날 직접적으로 상품만 부각시키는 광고표현에서 벗어나 메타포에 의한 창의적인 광고가 실제적으로 많이 활용되고 있다. 본 연구는 메타포에 대한 기존의 연구를 패션인쇄광고의 영역에 적용시켜, 시각적 메타포의 유형과 분석을 통해 메타포를 통한 비유적 상상력이 시각적으로 다른 요소들을 어떻게 이해하도록 연결시키는지를 분석하고자 하였다. 그리하여 창의적 디자인 아이디어의 발상 방법으로서 막연히 직감적인 이미지 표현에서 벗어나 보다 체계적, 논리적 방법론으로 시각적 메타포를 활용하고자 하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 구체적 방법으로 수사학적 개념적 이론을 바탕으로 메타포의 가치생성의 기반을 찾고, 시각적 메타포로서 표현적 방법을 사례분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 먼저 메타포의 두 주제사이의 명시성관계에 따라 크게 두 가지 유형으로 나누어 원관념과 보조관념의 유사성을 분석하였다. 그런 다음 브랜드가 가지고 있는 이미지와 기호학적인 내표적 기의를 분석하여 시각적 메타포가 광고에서 가지는 총체적 의미와 특성을 도출하였고 결론은 다음과 같다. 두 주제의 형태의 유사성은 제품의 시각적 효과를 더 강조하면서 병렬로 나열되거나 형태가 혼합된다. 이때 의도된 형태의 이미지가 첨가되면서 선명한 시각적 인상(印象)을 형성한다. 반면 내용적 유사성을 나타낼 때 주로 두 주제의 유사성을 비교하여 대상이 갖는 새로운 의미가 첨가된다. 이러한 경우 시각적 메타포는 추상적 복잡함을 시각적 압축효과로 기호적인 의미를 가지게 된다. 또한 원관념과 보조관념의 시각적 대체는 보조관념이 가지고 있는 성격이 전이되면서 제품에 부여되어 광고에서 소비자가 경험하지 못하는 추상세계를 구체화시킨다. 그리고 카피문구나 슬로건을 통한 언어적 의미는 기호로써 두 주제의 개념의 유사성을 찾아 대상이 갖는 새로운 정보를 통해 의미성을 확장하게 된다. Today, the creative advertisement with metaphor is frequently used by escaping from the advertisement expression focusing on the product directly. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the metaphorical imaginative power using metaphor is connected to visually different elements to understand them through the analysis on the types of visual metaphor. Its another purpose is to escape from the intuitional image expression as the method to conceptualize the creative design idea and use the visual metaphor as a systematic, logical methodology. As the specific method of research, the study found out the foundation of metaphor value creation on the basis of the theory of rhetorical concept and researched the expressive method of visual metaphor through case study. First of all, the study analyzed the similarity between tenor and vehicle by classifying metaphor into 2 types depending on the clarity relationship between 2 themes. After that, the study analyzed the image of brand and semiologic internal signified to draw the general meaning of visual metaphor in the advertisement. The similarities of 2 themes are listed in parallel and their types are fused while they emphasize the visual effect of product. At this time, the image of intentional type is added to form the clear visual image. On the contrary, when the similarities of contents are shown, the similarities of 2 themes are compared to add a new meaning of target. In this case, the visual metaphor has the symbolic meaning through the effect to compress the abstract complexity visually. When the tenor is substituted for the vehicle, the characteristic of the vehicle is transferred to specify the abstract world that is not experienced by consumer in the advertisement. In addition, the linguistic meaning through copyright and slogan expands the meaning through new information of target by finding out the similarities of 2 themes as signifier.

스카프의 조형미를 응용한 의상디자인 연구

With such basic conceptions in mind, this study was aimed at reviewing the unique formative aesthetics of scarves for creation of modern apparel design. To this end, the drapeability of the rhythmically wrinkled fabric of scarf of scarf as well as its tying and enclosing representation were introduced into the apparel details and silhouette to create an apparel design flattering the moderns unique sense of aesthetics and emotion. In the same vein, threads were superimposed on the planar fabric to express a sense of volume and thereby, pursue a unique decorative effect of rich texture. Specifically, the objectives of this study are to highlight the practical use of scarf warming and its decorative formative aesthetics and thereby, apply it to apparel designs and develop an art fabric using the machine embroidery technique, and ultimately, suggest the possibility of unique but highly value-added apparel designs.
