2007년 개정 유치원교육과정과 초등교육과정 연계를 위한 수직적 통합교육과정 분석 : 표현생활과 즐거운 생활을 중심으로

본 연구는 2007년 개정 초, 중, 고등학교 체육과 교육목표 및 내용의 수직적 통합 관계를 규명하고 이와 연계하여 유치원과 초등교육과정의 수직적 통합 가능성을 연구하기 위한 것으로, 초등학교 저학년(1~2학년) 교과인 `즐거운 생활`과 유치원 교육과정인 `표현생활` 영역을 비교 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 제 7차 개정 교육과정에서는 유치원, 초, 중, 고등학교 교육이 추구하는 인간상은 모두 동일하므로 수직적으로 통합된 교육과정이라 할 수 있다. 2) 제 7차 개정 초, 중, 고등학교 체육과의 총괄교육목표는 건강, 도전, 경쟁, 표현, 여가 가치의 5개 목표 영역으로 구분되어 있고, 각 목표 영역마다 인지적, 심동적, 정의적 영역의 세부 목표를 포함한다. 초, 중, 고등학교 체육과는 총괄교육목표를 달성하기 위한 수직적 통합교육과정으로 이루어져 있다. 3) 체육교과 내용의 한 분야인 무용교육과 초등학교 저학년 교과내용인 `즐거운 생활`과 유치원 `표현생활`은 동일한 목표와 표현 생활 영역이라는 내용면에서 수직적으로 통합되었다고 할 수 있다. 4) 2007 개정 교육과정에서 유치원 `표현생활`영역은 초등학교 저학년 `즐거운 생활`의 교육내용 보다 추상적인 용어로써 행동을 구체적으로 설명하지 못하고 이해하기 어려운 측면이 있다. 특히, 표현생활의 하위영역인 `예술적 요소 찾아보기`와 수준별 내용에서 `다양한 예술 활동을 스스로 선택하여 시도 한다` 등은 고등교육기관에서도 난해한 교육내용으로 분석된다. 5) 유치원 교육과정의 `표현생활`은 초등학교 저학년(1~2학년)의 `즐거운 생활`교육 이전 단계이며, 이 모두는 무용을 포함한 체육과 교육에 포괄적, 수직적으로 통합되는 것이 바람직하다. The objective of this study was to explain the vertical integration of the goals and contents of physical education in elementary, middle and high schools under the National Curriculum revised in 2007 and to determine the possibility of vertical integration of the kindergarten and elementary curriculums. The results of comparing `Pleasant Life,` a subject for low-grade elementary students (1st~2nd graders), and `Life of Expression,` a subject for kindergarteners, are as follows. 1) Under the 7th Revised National Curriculum, kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school education pursue the same image of human beings, so they are considered a vertically integrated curriculum. 2) The general goals of physical education in elementary, middle and high schools under the 7th Revised National Curriculum are largely divided into health, challenge, competition, expression and leisure, and each goal contains detailed sub-goals in the cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains. Physical education in elementary, middle and high schools is composed of vertically integrated programs for general educational goals. 3) Dance education, which is a part of the contents of physical education, `Pleasant Life` for low-grade elementary students, and `Life of Expression` for preschoolers are considered vertically integrated in terms of goal and content, which is in the domain of the life of expression. 4) In the 2007 Revised National Curriculum, `Life of Expression` for preschoolers uses abstract terms more frequently than `Pleasant Life` for low-grade elementary students, so it does not explain behaviors specifically and is hard to understand. Particularly in `Finding Artistic Elements,` a sub-area of `Life of Expression,` and in `Choose and attempt various artistic activities by themselves,` a content in the domain, are considered hardly understandable even to tertiary students. 5) `Life of Expression` in the kindergarten curriculum is a course prior to `Pleasant Life` for low-grade elementary students (1st and 2nd graders), and it is desirable to integrate all of them vertically into physical education.
