        어문학에 대한 지역학적 연구의 가치와 학회에 거는 기대

        지역 어문학 연구는 어문학에 대한 지역학적 연구이다. 지역학은 지역화를 추구하는 학문으로, 지역화를 세계화와 함께 그 관련 속에서 다시 성찰함으로써 지역학의 근본적 가치를 재확인하는 것이 필요하다. 세계화와 지역화는 인류 거대집단의 다중단위들 중 하나로서 상반된 지향을 가진 듯하나, 근대국가의 힘이 안팎과 상하에서 균형을 잡을 때 인류의 발전과 번영이 있다는 것에서 서로 만난다. 그러므로 세계와 지역은 국가와 문명보다 더 적극적으로 키워야 하는 중요한 거대집단이고, 그 중에서도 지역은 정체성 확립과 가치의 실현을 위해 더욱 도움이 필요한 단위이며 연구의 필요성도 크다. 지역 어문학 연구를 효율적으로 수행하기 위해서는 이론과 현상 양면에서 필수적이고 유익한 조건을 많이 갖춘 우수한 연구주제를 탐색, 선정하는 것이 중요하다. This article was written for the purpose of preparing a framework of recognition to understand the fundamental value of regional studies, and making it available to our regional language and literature studies, and made the next generation of academics in this field the main readers. Regional language and literature research refers to a regional study of language and literature. Localization is a discipline that pursues localization, and localization must be addressed with globalization in order to recognize its character and value more accurately and deeply. Therefore, it is necessary to reconfirm the fundamental value of regional studies by re-reflecting localization in relation to globalization. For globalization and localization, balance of power between the quadruple units, which are multiple units of the large human group, allows us to accurately understand and justify the value of the units of the world and regions that have been alienated so far. Globalization and localization seem to have opposite orientations, but the arguments for each of them suggest that humanity can develop and prosper together only when the power of the modern state, which is excessively concentrated, is distributed in and out and distributed up and down to balance the power. Meet each other on a common goal. In that sense, the world and region are important large groups that need to be developed more actively than the other two units, the state and civilization. Among the two, the region in particular is a field of individual life, so the state should actively help to establish self-identity and realize each individual's value by awakening and inspiring from the alienated and stagnant state while sufficiently distributing power and wealth. Therefore, the region is the most important unit among the four units. For this reason, regional studies, including regional language and literature studies, are more important than studies on any other unit. In order to efficiently conduct regional studies on language and literature, it is necessary to search for excellent research topics. It is convenient to divide the research subject system into creation of theories and studies of phenomena. It is very important to select a topic that has many essential and beneficial conditions in regional studies when finding the subject of research on the phenomena.

        In the old Korean novel, two typical patterns of views on fatalism wee shape in the idealistic novel and the realistic one. The idealistic novel show the thought that an absolute power beyond the ability of man dominates his life, while the realistic novel represents the thought that the power of social surrounding that man can overcome controls his life. These two diffent characteristic are due to the change that occoured in the lapse of time: we might say the former characteristic was gradually transformed into the latter. It seemd to me that I-Jinsa-Jeon(李進士傳) has the characteristic of a transitional stage. In this paper, I tried to bring to light the characteristic of the work, and clarify the process of change in the views on fatalism through the analysis of the structure of this work.

        구운몽과 운영전의 비교 연구

        Kuunmong and Unyungjun have mutually similar structures and subject-matters in their external appearances. In this paper, I analyse the two works concretely. According to the results of this analysis, each work has differents tructure, herre and the mode of aesthetics eath other. The concrete results are as follows; 1. The main conflict of Kuunmong is that of idea and idea, Confucianism and Buddhism. It is developed alternately in their victory or defeat, having the victory of Buddhism is conclusion. The conflict of Unyungjun is that of the will to love and Confucian idea that restrain it. It is developed simultaneously, having the victory of the will to love in conclusion. 2. The theme of Kuunmong is the assertion that Buddhism is absolutely important and valuable. That of Unyungjun is as follows; It is important that , man gratify his desire is this actual world. 3. Unyunjun reflects the agony of common people and the inner reality in that times. But Kuunmong reflects only the abstract and fixed idea of the noble class, or their wandering between one idea and another in that times. 4. In the mode of aesthetics, Kuunmong has sublime beauty and Unyungjun tragic one.

        고전소설의 민요화 : on Soogyung-Nangja-Jun and Okdanchoon-Yo 숙영낭자전과 옥단춘요를 대상으로

        Okdanchoon-Yo is the Korean folk song that was transformed from one of the Korean old novel, Soogyung-Nangja-Jun. In this paper, I researched into the background and the factors of transformation and the aspects of it. Next, I considered the characteristic of Okdanchoon-Yo. The results are roughly as follows: It seems to me that the background of transformation was the female world. in which they took much delight in both reading novels and sing folk songs, and factors of it was the lack of time to read novel and the dissatisfaction to. aristocratic contents. The changed things are the shortening in length, the change from dualistic world view to monistic one by eleminating the supernatural etements, the emphasis on hardships and cutting the distance between the work and the. singers or reading public. Okdanchoon-Yo as a result of transformation is very good narrative folk song that reflect the hard life and consciousness of common people. Eo-Mun-Lon-Chong

        주생전 소고

        Joosaeng-Jun(周生學) is an old Korean novel that was written by Kwun-Pil (權필) in the sixteenth centuries. There has never been any study of this work except for some brief surveys. Hence, I analyzed this work in full-scale under such aspects as: (1) some external problems (2) structure and theme (3) atmosphere (4) aesthetic characteristic Of these, the first is a preparatory consideration about the facts around this work, and the rests are the concrete analysis about this work. Specially, in the latter, I put stress on the analysis of structure and theme, considering the analysis of atmosphere and aesthetic characteristic as secondary problems.

        <백월산전설>의 구조와 의미

        The tale about Mt. Baegwol in The Heritage of the Three States is a part of the longer tale about the two sage Boo-deuk and Bak-bak. But it is a complete legend that can be separated from the longer tale. It seems that The tale about Mt. Baegwol was actually handed down as an independent type at first, and was gradully attached to the tale about two sage afterwards. The structure of this legend has a confrontation between Silla and Dang. Silla makes a display of greatness of his national land, on the contrary, Dang surprises that greatness. In this stricture, the friendly relation between Silla and Dang includes antagonistic relationship. This legend has a double meaning. One is general or national In general meaning, the other religious or Buddhist meaning. In general or national meaning, one body(or root) of Sam-san denotes a unitary nation in the Korean Peninsula and the three peaks of it denote three state in those Peninsula. Saja-am denotes mighty of nation. And the flowers in the mountain denote the beauty of national culture. A footwear of envoy on Saja-am denotes arrogance and despotism of Dang. In the religious or Buddhist meaning, Sam-san denotes Sambo in Buddhism, that is, Buddha, law of Buddhist. Saja-am denotes Sajajwa, that is, the chair on which Buddha sit. The flowers denote audiences who hear Buddhist sermon. Of course, these Buddhist meanings were shady illuminated by many precedent researches.

        왕오천축국전에 관한 문학적 연구

        Wang-O-Chunchookgook-Jun(往五天竺國傳) is a travel descrption written by Hye-Cho (慧超 A.D. 704-787), who was one of the Buddistic prelate in sylla-Dynasty. In this paper, I analyzed it to illuminate the literary nature and the characteristic as the genre of literay essay. The results are chiefly as follows: 1. This work contains the author's experiences, and implies his mental attitude and his personality. In this respect, it can be defined as a piece of literary work. 2. The author's fundimental attitude is expressed on this work is composure, intellectual and prudent. 3. The objects which the author observed were not only the Buddistic but the heretic. It seemd that the author wanted rather to widen the width of his experience by horizontal view than to depen of his experience by vertical one. 4. The diversities of objects he observed shoes us the intention that wanted to be free himself of attachment on the differences of things. This intention is agree with Buddistic epistemology. 5. The most important meaning in his works the conflict between his religious 'ascetic will and his profane desire. This conflict is literary truth was expressed in the work unconsciousnessly by the author. 6. The characteristic as the genre of the literary essay are as follows: (1) This work obtained the free from a conventional form of literary composition. (2) The development of content obtained the free from a dogmatic or logical system. And, consequently, the diversisties and facets of all things which arthor observed are preserved without teeing distorted. (3) The questions raised by the author are not fully resolved, and it gives reader the free that they can recognise the objects he observed. (4) This work contains the author's self-confessions. The content of his selfcofessions are that it is a very laborious task to practise a religious asceticism even if man have a sincere religious faith and a firm resoluion.
