This study gives a account of the mind-body relation in Spinoza's philosophy. Spinoza's account of the mind and its relation to the body is one of the most interesting part of his philosophy. In Spinoza' s philosophy, human mind and body is modes that express in a determinate way the essence(attributum) of God. Spinoza's doctrine on mind is refered to the nature of body. The human body is a complex that consists of simple bodies. Accordingly, human mind also a complex that consists of simple ideas. The human is the dynamic unity of mind and body. But there is a mutual correspondence between extension and thought, body and mind. Therefore the mind is the idea of body, and the body is the object of mind. In Spinoza's philosophy. idea and object(ideatum) are one and the same thing. The idea of the body is the perception of the body. In Spinoza, the word perception is used to refer to all mental event or knowledge. On Spinoza's philosophy, there are three kinds of knowledge -imaginatio, ratio, scientia intuitiva. Imaginatio is the sensory perception of the body. Then how are ratio and scientia intuitiva related to the body? The knowledge at these levels is an adequate idea. And an adequate idea is the idea of the essence of the body.
Sidewall을 이용한 초음속 이중압축램프에서의 실험적 연구

본 연구에서는 초음속 영역에서 sidewall을 이용한 이중압축 램프에서의 영향을 알아보는 실험연구를 수행하였다. 실제 풍동시험 시 유한한 너비를 가지는 형상에서는 유동이 유실되어 모멘텀을 잃어버리는 3차원 효과가 존재하기 때문에 실험적으로 유동의 2차원성을 확보하는 것이 중요하다. 유동의 2차원성을 확보하기 위해 이중압축 모델에 sidewall을 부착시킴으로써 유동이 유실되는 현상을 제한하였고 Infrared(IR) thermography와 shadowgraph 이미지를 통해 가능성을 확인하였다. This paper presents the experimental study of supersonic flows around a double compression ramp with a sidewall. The experiments were conducted in a supersonic blow-down wind tunnel. In the testing, due to a finite span, the mass leakage due to a momentum loss at the model sides causes the flow to become three-dimensional. In this work, a technique to minimize the loss and maintain near two-dimensional flow has been discussed. Infrared(IR) thermography and shadowgraph images were included to show the efficacy of the technique presented herein.
입체 라멘 교각 구조물의 파괴 패턴 및 간이 내진성능 평가법

많은 수의 기존구조물의 내진보강 여부를 효율적으로 판단하기 위해서는 다단계로 구성되는 평가시스템을 도입하는 것이 바람직하다 본 연구에서는 지진피해를 입은 입체라멘 구조물의 피해원인을 지반 및 구조물의 특성에 따라 조사 검토하였으며 부재의 전단-휨 강도 여유도가 구조물의 내진성능에 밀접한 관계가 있음을 보여주고 있다 전단-휨 강도여유를 이용하여 대상구조물의 내진성능보강여부를 1차적으로 평가할 수 있는 1차 평각법을 제시하였으며 그 유효성을 구조물의 패해도와 비교하여 확인하였다. In order to check the necessity of seismic reinforcement for a great number of existing structures effectively, it might be desirable to introduce the multi-step seismic evaluation system. This paper presents close relationships between shear-to-moment capacity ratio of a member and seismic performance of structures concerned through the failure mechanism investigation in the view of geological and structural characteristics. Based on it, the simple seismic performance evaluation method has been proposed and its effectiveness was verified by comparing with the damage condition of structures damaged under Hyogo-Ken Nambu Earthquake.
