Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the sixth most common tumor worldwide and the third leading cause of tumor mortality. The majority of tumors are diagnosed when advanced and then a 5-year survival rate of HCC is below 5%. However, recent progress in the diagnosis and treatment of HCC has made it possible for the patient to survive longer, and as a result, distant metastasis from HCC has increased and attracted more attention than before. HCC can be metastasized to all organs through blood and lymphatic channel. Of the various metastatic sites, the most common site is the lungs, followed by the lymph nodes, musculoskeletal, adrenal and omentum. Also, spleen, small bowel, large bowel and esophagus can be invloved. Brain metastasis can be occurred rarely, and then it is regarded to oncologic emergency. We report a patient who present with brain metastasis of progressing HCC despite of treatment.

Superior mesenteric artery syndrome (SMAS) is an uncommon disease resulting from compression of the third portion of the duodenum by the superior mesenteric artery. Typical symptoms of SMAS are anorexia, nausea, vomiting, early satiety, abdominal pain and postprandial fullness. The diagnosis requires radiologic studies in patients with symptoms suggestive of SMAS. Radiologic studies include upper gastrointestinal barium study, angiography, abdominal ultrasound, endoscopic ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging. The SMA angle to the aorta is normally 45° (range, 38-56°), whereas in SMAS, that SMA angle is decreased to 6 to 25°. Additionally, the distance between the SMA and the aorta normally ranges from 10 to 20 mm, whereas in SMAS this distance is decreased to 2 to 8 mm. Recently SMAS diagnosis has been most commonly confirmed by CT. Therapy of SMAS includes weight gain to increase the aortomesenteric angle, but surgery is indicated in symptomatic patients when conservative management failed. To date, laparoscopic duodenojejunostomy seems to be a first-choice surgical options. (Korean J Med 2013;84:28-36)

As competition among car-makers grows, the cost and the interior luxury are becoming important factors. However, both the cost and the interior luxury are incompatible elements and can’t be satisfied. So It is necessary to optimize between the cost and the interior luxury. Door trim in Hyundai apply wrapping, garnish, lighting and paint for the interior luxury. While wrapping, garnish and lighting can be highly appreciated by customers, paint tend to be inefficient compared to cost due to low recognition of customers. In particular, paint of a swich bezel on a door trim is applied to improve the simple appearance problem that is caused by injection part rather than customer’s needs. Thus, We conduct to delete unnecessary luxury factor(Paint) for cost reduction and develop the paintless door switch bezel. In this paper, we describe the various aspects of development in material, mold, design, appearance quality and cost-reduction related to the development of the paintless door switch bezel.
