This study attempted to determine the division indexes which could identify mountain villages region at the eup and myeon administrative districts. The division indexes were selected first, by choosing variables which could show the characteristics of mountain villages region and permanent indicators, second, by verifying through the statistical analysis. According to the analysis, the division indexes of mountain villages region were the percentage of forest area and the mean altitude of villages; the percentage of forest area was more than 70% and the mean altitude of village was more than 250 meters in each administrative districts, or the mean altitude of village was over 400 meters. Mountain villages region divided by the division indexes was composed of 32.2% of total national area and 3.6% of total national population, respectively. Furthermore, the mountain region villages had the characteristics of severer depopulation and poorer agricultural base condition than those of the other regions.

The study was conducted to set up the criteria of judgement that could be utilized for cultivated wild ginseng, easy and well-defined for consumers to understand. For the purpose, the study examined consumers` perception and valuation on each attribute of cultivated wild ginseng that was related to the product quality through a choice experiment. Attributes used in the experiment were based on exterior characteristics of cultivated wild ginseng including ages, planting methods, external dimension, length of fibrous roots, and hue and color. Residents in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province were interviewed and a total of 173 questionnaires were acquired for the analysis. According to the result, respondents valued the highest score on ginseng grown by direct sowing, while they valued rather lower scores on ginseng`s external dimension. In general, the hypothetical model was shown to exist within the stable range.

This study was carried out to improve forest tax system corresponding to Korean forestry status. Especially, special regard was paled in order to promote forest investment as a result of improvement measures. As a result of this study, the establishment of new- system which allow deduction as a loss when forest investment occurred is more effective than present forest income tax system. which glees tax-exemption on cutting of artificial forests. Some detailed adoption technique of that system was examined in various viewpoint. Also, it is indicated that this improvement measures was already adopted generally in some developed countries.
조건부 로짓 모델을 이용한 산림경관기능의 경제적 가치 평가

The purpose of this study is to estimate economic value of forest landscape function using conditional logit model, applied by Choice Experiment. For the study, we have chosen attributes and levels of forest landscape. In specific, topographical forest type, forest type, forest density, recreational factor (side trip, accessibility of valley) and WTP were included in attributes. Based on factors, we have made 48 choice sets with Balanced and Orthogonal form using SAS 9.1. The efficiency of questionnaire was 6.02 (D-Error: 0.1) and choice set and socio-economic variable were selected. In order to reduce cognitive load of respondent, 96 choice sets were divided into 4 types in questionnaire so that respondent could respond to 12 choice sets respectively. Population was citizens from 7 metropolitan cities including Seoul, and the interview survey was conducted to find out average annual WTP per household for the total 280 interviewees. As a result, In the Non-ASC model, Mcfadden` ρ had 0.21, and Log Likelihood: -2,631. Average annual WTP per household for forest landscape was 266,723 Won(Korean currency).
