안색(顔色)에 대한 현대적 조명 : 상고천진론(上古天眞論)의 여자칠세(女子七歲)이론을 근거로

Objectives: We investigated $L^*a^*b^*$ and $ITA^{\circ}$ value on the face to correlate the complexion of Korean female with aging theory of Neijing(內經) in Suwen-Shanggutianzhenlun(素問,上古天眞論). Methods: Three hundreds and thirty one Korean females, aged 22-64 years($39.36{\pm}9.71$ years) were participated in this study. We measured the skin properties of the face with Spectrophotometer CM2600d(Minolta, Japan). Trisimulus $L^*a^*b^*$ color and $ITA^{\circ}$ value divided on 7 years were and analyzed by regression analysis method. Results: $L^*$, ITA value decreased and $a^*$, $b^*$ increased as the age increases. Among these, we found out that ITA value is most related to aging. $L^*$ value decreased among the group of 28 to 35 years old. ITA value decreased among the group of 35 to 42 years old. $a^*$ value decreased among the group of 42 to 49 years old. Conclusions: Unique aging pattern by 7 years of female in Oriental medicine is reflected to complexion.

간호대학생의 성별에 따른 성정체성, 성평등의식과 자아존중감

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences between gender identity, gender equality, and self-esteem among nursing college students. Methods: The subjects were nursing college students who were selected from 4 different nursing colleges. We measured gender identity, gender equality, and self-esteem using verified measurement tools. Data were analyzed using descriptive and comparative statistical methods. Results: Gender equality among nursing college students showed a significant difference between male students and female students. Male students had higher gender equality scores than female students on all 4 types of gender equality. Conclusion: Male nursing college students that there are differences in gender equality, especially in the areas of education and employment. Based on these results, we suggest that future work should focus on developing a curriculum to increase awareness of gender equality among under graduate students, and thereby build an organizational culture of mutual respect for gender equality among clinical nurses.

경항부 수기요법과 한방 목 크림이 목 주름과 안면 혈행에 미치는 영향 연구

Objectives: We investigated the influence of the neck acupressure massage and the neck cream including korean herbal extract on the neck wrinkles and blood circulation. Methods: Korean female($37.47{\pm}3.66$ years, n=18) aged 30-39 years were participated in this study. We measured the neck wrinkles with PRIMOS(GFMesstechnik GmbH, Germany) and blood circulation of neck and facial skin with Laser Doppler Imaging-Periscan PIM II(Perimed AB, Sweden). Results: The neck wrinkles were significantly decreased after applying neck cream. But when with the neck acupressure massage, the neck wrinkles were decreased 2-fold than applying only the neck cream. The skin blood circulation was significantly increased on the neck and facial skin immediately after the neck acupressure massage. But this effect was not significantly different after 8 weeks Conclusions: This result suggests that the neck acupressure massage can improve the anti-wrinkles effect of the neck cream including Korean herbal extract.

Objectives : We investigated the correlation of the skin color to blood circulation on the face of Korean female by noninvasive-skin measuring devices. Methods : Korean female(37.47${\pm}$3.66 years, n=36) aged 30-45 years were participated in this study. We measured the skin color of the face with Spectrophotometer CM2600d (Minolta, Japan) and the skin blood flow with Laser Doppler Imaging-Periscan PIM II (Perimed AB, Sweden). The skin color and blood circulation of three groups (30-35 years, 36-40 years, 41-45 years) divided on age were analyzed by paired-t test and regression analysis. Results : The L* values of the skin were decreased and the a* values were increased significantly with age. This means that the more age increase, the more the skin is dark and red. But the skin blood flow was not significantly different with age and skin color. Conclusions : In the oriental medicine, It was reported that the face of the female over 35 years is changed gradually haggard and the blood circulation is decreased. In our study, the blood circulation was not changed and the skin color was dark and red with increasing the age. We think this symptom resulted from the better nutrition than the past, the change of the blood-quality and this changes were too sensitive to be measured by Laser Doppler Imaging system.

An aquatic food chain was constructed to provide information of bioaccumulation of DEHP as followed: phytoplankton(Scenedesmus subspicatus) ${\rightarrow}$ zooplankton(Daphnia magna) ${\rightarrow}$ fish(Oryzias latipes). After 10 days of exposure to DEHP, the fish and culture water were analyzed for residual concentration of DEHP and BAF(Bioaccumulation Factor) was determined. In addition, BCF(Bioconcentration Factor) was calculated in exposure tank in which fish were only exposed DEHP by culture water. These experiments provide the relative importance between BAF and BCF. In this study, BCF and BAF did not show any significant difference. Another work in this study was model construction and application to investigate the effect of food chain structure to BAF in higher organism (fish). The model constructed in this study considered the biological characteristics of DEHP such as metabolic parameters, as well as the chemical characteristics such as solubility. This model could be used in prediction of bioaccumulation level in dependent of various food chain structures, when the target organisms or chemicals would be changed.

International Cases and Their Implications on School Safety in Korea

학교 폭력, 왕따 등 학교 안전과 관련된 사건 및 사고는 학교 안전이 지역사회 보건 및 복지에 심각한 위협에 노출되어 있음을 시사한다. 학교 안전사고들은 오랜 기간 동안 다양한 정책과 프로그램이 시행되어 왔기 때문에 큰 문제점으로 대두되고 있다. 따라서 지역사회와 정부가 예방책을 마련하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구는 독일, 영국, 캐나다, 미국, 프랑스 등 다양한 국가에서 시행되는 학교 폭력을 비롯한 학교안전에 관한 교육, 정책, 프로젝트, 프로그램의 성공적인 사례연구를 논의하며 이 논의를 통해 국내적 함의 및 시사점을 제시하였다. 우리나라 학교안전의 질적 보완을 도모할 수 있는 가장 현실적이고 구체적인 방안으로는 지역사회 공동체가 적극적으로 참여하는 것이다. 또한 국제적 프로그램 성공의 가장 효과적인 조정전략은, 학교 밖과의 강력한 연계를 가진 학교안전 프로그램 이었다는 점이다. 즉 지역사회 공동노력으로 건강하고 안전한 학교를 만드는 지역사회 건강증진과 학교안전의 융합적인 접근이었다. Recent accidents in school environment involving violence, and bullying indicate that school safety is exposed to a serious threat to community well-being. Such incidents come as big problem because various policies and programs have widely long been implemented in order to protect the school environment. Thus, it is critical for the local community and goverment to develop measures for prevention. However, some of the incidents are misrepresented because school environment still remains as one of the safest settings. The current study discusses successful case studies of education, policies and projects regarding school violence and safety that are enforced in many other nations. One of the most practical and concrete means of pursuing an improved level of school safety is for the local community to be actively involved in the process. And one of the key factors for the success of international programs was that it was very much an integrative approach involving a joint effort with the local communities, accompanying a strong tie between the school and its surrounding context.

원추각막에서 수기 각막링 터널 생성을 이용한 인택스(Intacs;)링 삽입술의 임상 결과

Purpose: To report the clinical results after the implantation of intrastromal corneal ring segments (Intacs<sup>?) by manual tunnel creation for the correction of keratoconus. Methods: This retrospective case series was comprised of 10 eyes of 8 consecutive keratoconic patients. Visual acuity, refractive outcome, keratometric values, anterior chamber depth, central corneal thickness, and endothelial cell density were evaluated before and at 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months postoperatively. In addition, the implanted ring segment depth was measured by anterior segment optical coherence tomography at postoperative 6 months. Any postoperative complications were also recorded. Results: Visual acuity was improved in 9 out of 10 eyes. Spherical equivalent and keratometric values were decreased in all eyes. There was no significant difference in central corneal thickness, but endothelial cell density and anterior chamber depth were slightly decreased. The depth of ring segments was almost constant at superior, middle, and inferior. There was a single case of descented implanted ring segments and 6 cases of stromal infiltration around ring segments, but visual acuity was unaffected. In addition, 1 case showed implanted ring exposure, thus the superior ring segment was removed at postoperative 4 months. Conclusions: Intrastromal corneal ring segment implantation (Intacs<sup>?) by manual tunnel creation appears to be effective in improving the visual acuity and stabilizing corneal refractive power in keratoconic patients. Deregulation is not a matter or problem to be resolved simply by revising a law or a system in a short period of time. Rather, it should be implemented at a steady pace on the basis of a full understanding of the relationships between government regulation and the government's role, taking into account the inherent functions of the market. Moreover, arguments about government regulation and its deregulation vary according to viewpoints and approaches on the part of parties concerned. This makes it more difficult to form a consensus or reach a conclusion in recognizing and resolving the basis of problems at issue. This paper aims to review the shipping industry deregulation of major countries, to analyze Korea's situation and problems of shipping regulation, and to suggest it's improving methods. Although government regulation is a sensitive policy issue, this paper remains relatively at the basic research. Regulation problems should be tackled by interdisciplinary approach. A specific approach in regulation study could not explain exactly the causes and results of government policy

응급실 환자의 응급의료센터 체류시간 단축프로그램 개발 및 효과

Purpose: The study evaluated a program to shorten EMC stay time. Methods: The subjects were EMC patients, and comprised a control group of 8,477 and an experimental group of 8,378. Data were collected from June 2006 to August 2007, and analyzed concerning stay time for doctor visit, decision making, and discharge. The data were analyzed by $X^2$-test and ANCOVA using SPSS14.0. Result: The stay time of doctor visit, decision making and discharge of the experimental group was significantly less compared to the control group. Using second and third grade triage criteria, the stay time of experimental group was statistically reduced from the control. Conclusion: The implemented shortening program was effective in reducing EMC stay time and increasing EMC effectiveness.
