오심, 구토, 복통으로 인해 급격한 체중감소를 보인 환자 치험 1례

This patient was 18 year-old man who had severe nausea, vomiting, stomachache but medical examination revealed no abnormality. The symptom lasted for 2 months and he lost 15kilograms. The patient had no underlying diseases. He was treated by korean medicine, containing acupuncture, cupping therapy and herb medicines during 9 days. The severity of nausea was scored by the Numerous Rating Scale and the frequency of vomitng was evaluated by count. After that period, patient's symptom was improved and his other conditions were also better, compared with his admission. This study suggests that Korean medicine could have a therapeutic effect for nausea, vomiting, stomachache and rapid weight loss that the cause has not been diagnosed by Western medicine. It could help to improve patient's symptoms and make general conditions better.

Determination of Noise Threshold from Signal Histogram in the Wavelet Domain

Thresholding in frequency domain is a simple and effective noise reduction technique. Determination of the threshold is critical to the image quality. The optimal threshold minimizing the Mean Square Error (MSE) is chosen adaptively in the wavelet domain; we utilize an equation of the MSE for the soft-thresholded signal and the histogram of wavelet coefficients of the original image and noisy image. The histogram of the original signal is estimated through the deconvolution assuming that the probability density functions (pdfs) of the original signal and the noise are statistically independent. The proposed method is quite general in that it does not assume any prior for the source pdf.

This study was carried out to examine the effect of the presence of non-structural walls in apartment buildings subjected to an earthquake. It was believed that the presence of non-structural walls, which has not been considered in the structural design process, was usually built together with structural walls and this led to significant damages to the apartment buildings in Pohang earthquake, 2017. In this study, a 22-story apartment building was selected and modeled to simulate the seismic behavior due to earthquakes. The story drift, performance point, and compressive strain in the walls were the main parameters to evaluate the seismic performance with the presence of non-structural walls.

후두에 원발한 악성 흑색종 1례

Mucosal melanoma of the head and neck is a rare and usually lethal disease. Primary laryngeal malignant melanoma(LMM) are exceedingly rare tumors that morphologically are readily confused with more common types of laryngeal cancer. Treatment of choice for LMM is complete surgical excision and elective lymph node dissection is usually not recommended. The use of radiation or chemotherapy is generally thought to have no effect on local or distant disease and currently used as adjuvant therapy. The prognosis is extremely poor. We have experienced a 61 year old male patient with symptoms of foreign body and lump sense in throat. A dark pigmented polypoid mass was found on the right aryepiglottic folds with normal mobility of vocal cord. Total laryngectomy was performed under the diagnosis of malignant melanoma. Bone scan revealed multiple bony metastasis on ribs and lumbar vertebrae after 5 months of operation. There have been no evidence of recurrence at primary area. The patient died after 8 months of operation.

This research examines the need for a quantitative and objective method of calculating baseline productivity in the construction industry, which is known for its high volatility in performance and productivity. The existing literature's baseline productivity calculation methods rely heavily on subjective criteria, limiting their effectiveness. Additionally, data collection methods such as the "Five-minute Rating" are costly and time-consuming, making it challenging to collect detailed data at construction sites. To address these issues, this study proposes an objective baseline calculation method using unimpacted productivity BP, a work check sheet to systematically record detailed data, and a data collection and utilization process that minimizes cost and time requirements. This paper also suggests using unimpacted productivity BP and comparative analysis to address the objectivity and reliability issues of existing baseline productivity calculation methods.

It is difficult to find the penetrating foreign bodies in the head and neck area only with history taking and physical examinations. One of the most important things is to detect the precise location of foreign bodies or possibly remained materials. The detection of wooden foreign bodies is important because they can cause phlegmon formation and because wood is often contaminated by Clostridium tetani bacteria. CT has proved to be an expedient method for detecting foreign bodies of various materials in soft tissues, but the wooden foreign body is often misinterpreted as a gas bubble in soft tissue. We have experienced a case of wooden foreign body which has penetrated through nasal dorsum and remained for 4 months. It had been initially misinterpreted as longstanding inflammatory lesion and osteitis of maxilla and nasal bone.

4차 산업혁명 시대에 따른 온라인과 오프라인 연계 광고의 유형화

본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 시대의 도래에 따라 출현하고 있는 새로운 광고 형식인 온·오프라인 연계 광고의 가치와 유 형을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서 문헌연구를 기반으로 ‘4P(제품, 가격, 유통, 촉진)’에서 ‘4C(공동창조, 공동체, 대 화, 통화)’로 진화하는 마케팅 방식을 이해하고 4C 요소를 도출하였다. 이를 기반으로 온·오프라인 연계광고 사례들의 조사를 통해 4C의 어떠한 요소가 온·오프라인 연결성을 나타내고 있는지 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 통해 온·오프라인 연계 광고는 최종적으로 4C의 요소가 연결된 방식에 따라 총 4가지의 대 유형과 14가지의 세부 유형으로 분류되었다. 본 논문에서는 최종 결과물로 4차 산업혁명 시대에 따라 출현한 마케팅의 4C 요소가 광고에서 표현되고 있음을 검증하 였고 이에 따른 광고의 유형화를 제시하였다. 본 연구는 온·오프라인 연계 광고를 제작하고 연구하는 광고인과 연구 자에게 새로운 통찰력을 공급하는데 공헌할 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of this study is to suggest the value and type of online and offline linked advertisement, which is a new advertisement type that emerged with the advent of the 4th industrial revolution. In this study, based on literature research, we understood the marketing method that evolves from “4P (product, price, place, promotion)” to “4C (co-creation, community, conversation, currency)” and extracted derive 4C elements. Based on this, we analyzed what elements of 4C showed online and offline connectivity through the investigation of on and offline linked advertisements. Through the analysis results, online and offline linked advertisements were classified into 4 types and 14 detailed types according to how they were connected to the number of 4C elements. In this paper, as a final result, we verified that 4C elements of marketing that appeared in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution are represented in advertisements and suggested the typology of advertisements accordingly. This study is expected to contribute to providing new insights to advertisers and researchers who produce and study online and offline advertisements.

Background and Objectives: The introduction of highly sensitive imaging techniques has made it possible to detect many non-palpable nodules, or“incidentaloma”in the thyroid. Discovery of these lesions raises concerns about their malignancy, but the optimal strategy for managing these lesions has not been clearly established. This study was designed to evaluate the usefulness of ultrasonographic exam with new diagnostic criteria and presume the value of mass screening for thyroid cancer. Materials and Methods : Mass screening for thyroid cancer were carried out in conjunction with mass screening for breast cancer. The subjects were 630 women aged 30 years or over. Thyroid glands were examined with 10 MHz transducer ultrasonography by one radiologist. Needle aspiration biopsy were performed when suspicious of malignancy under the new diagnostic criteria. Results and Conclusion : The new ultrasonographic criteria to diagnose thyroid cancer provided useful information and ensured more accurate evaluation. 7 cases of thyroid cancer were discovered and successfully managed. It should be further demonstrated that there is sufficient value of mass screening for thyroid cancer to perform it independently despite early cancer detection.
