The purpose of the present investigation was to assess the relationship between sports massage and positive mood enhancement. Subjects were the student in physical education. Experimental conditions were rest, massage and recovery 30min after performing maximal exercise with short duration, In massage treatment condition a cetified massage therapist gave a 15-min warm-up massage. All subjects completed the profile of mood states Results indicated that massage condition produced positive mood enhancement with significant decreases in tension and total mood distribution while maintaining high levels of vigor, which is representative mental health. Practical applications o the use of massage both before and after competition and exercise are discussed.

The Purpose of the Study was to determine whether the glutamate ingestion prior to exercise would reduce the lactat formation and its clearance in exercising mscle tisue during Submaximal and maximal execise. Six elite distance rummers particapated in this study. The Subjects had a half dose of glutamale(15.6mg .Kg?? ??) at 45min and ingested rest dose at prior to exerise. The test Performed twice. One was Performed in the track and the other was in the Lab. Blood Smples were obtained from catheter which was placed in the antecubital vein (Lab test) and finger tip Samples (Feld test) Unaltered blood lactate was observed in both trials, but, tended to less lactate concentration with glutamate ingestion than that of without glutamate ingestion. The recovery rate of blood lactate was markely rapid with glutamate ingestion in the field test. Unchanged in heart rate was founded in both trials. It many Suggest that, the additional supplement st of glutamate can improve execise performance limiting lactate formation or induce its rapid clearance from the muscle fissue.

This study examined the effects of amino acid complex supplementation on lactate concentration and heart rate responses during incremental exercise. Seven females performed treadmill exericse at rates that from 75m/min(at 10% elevation) to 135m/min (at 15% elevation) after administration of amino acids complex and placebo each other. Blood samples were collected from finger-tip at rest, during exercise and recovery. and analyzed for blood lactate. Heart rates were recorded throughout the exercise. Blood lactate concentration during recovery was significantly decreased after amino acid complex supplementation in both trials(50mg×body wt(P<0.05) and 100mg×body wt) compare to placebo administration. Heart rates were not altered throughout the experiment, but it tended to be higher with amino acid complex supplementation(50mg×body wt). It is suggested that amino acids supplementation may response negatively on lactate accumulation during exercise and enhance a rapid clearance after exercise.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of BCAA supplementation on blood lactate concentration in normal plasma glucose level and to discuss the possibility of exercise induced fatigue follo-wing plasma BCAA changes. Eight healthy male students (Physical education) were participated in this study and maximally exercised to determine the maximal capacity(HRmax). The BCAA and the placebo (water) were ingested in two equal oral doses of 38.4 my/kg at 45 and 15 min before the onset of exercise. The subjects exercised on a Monark cycle ergometer for 60 min at 75 % HRmax, and then if it reached by 60 min, they continuously exercised for 20 min at 90% HRmax. Blood samples and HR were obtained before, every 20 min during and after exercise. The fractions of blood sample were determined with whole blood for lactate and glucose but ammonia in plasma. The results of this study were as follows : The plasma ammonia levels were less for the BCAA trial than for the placebo trial until exercise 40 min at75% HRmax and were higher for the BCAA trial than for the placebo trial by recovery 5 min (90% HRmax) The plasma lactate levels were higher for the BCAA trial than for the placebo trial by recovery 5 min and the ammonia levels by BCAA supplementation were increased after 60 min, which was a decreasing point of glycogen utilization during the glucose level remained to normal state. We concluded that the increase of ammonia levels from that point was due to a increase of BCAA utilization.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the possiblity of the modulation in blood lactate and alchohol concentration by suppling the reoxidized NAD in response to aspartate supplementation. Eight healthy men performed treadmill test ingested alcohol of 0.8ml/kg body weight(40 vol% ) for ten minutes at 80% of maximal heart rate. Two different amino acids of aspartate(ASP) and Aspartate-Glutamate(ASP-GLU) mixture were administrated, and the test was duplicated at one and three hour after amino acids and alcohol ingestion. Blood lactate concentration in placebo trial was significantly higher than in control trial which was performed without alcohol and amino acids ingestion, whereas slightly higher in amino acid trials, especially was true in ASP-GLU trial compare to control. Furthermore, blood alcohol concentration in amino acids trial, at both test after ingestion was significantly lower than in placebo trial, especially ASP-GLU ingestion was markedly to reduced alcohol level in blood. The same trend occured in the second test which was perfomed after three hour. Blood lactate level in control trial was similar to placebo trial, but it was lowed in amino acids ingestion trials. In conclusion, aspartate supplementation can be used as a effective tool to enforce in the intracellular NADH reoxidation without clear concominant changes in energy metabolism.
