1. Objectives This Case study is to evaluate the effectivity of Sasang Herbal Therapy in Insomnia Patients. 2. Methods Patients who diagnosed as Soyangin by physical characteristic, posture and symptoms, are evaluated with VAS and morning questionnarie after Hyeongbangjihwang-tang medication. 3. Results After Hyeongbangjihwang-tang medication, Soyangin patients were improved the sleep disturbance, insomnia, and the constitutional disease syndrome also improved. 4. Conclusions

1. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report one case of the Taeumin Hangwol Syndrome diagnosed as Upper Respiratory Infection with unknown cause. 2. Methods: The patient had the symptoms including chilling sensation, general weakness and fatigue. We diagnosed him as Taeeumin Hangwol Syndrome. So we treated him by Handayeolso-tang(寒多熱少湯), and acupuncture. The serial changes of his symptoms were evaluated in hospital. 3. Results and Conclusions: After treated by Handayeolso-tang(寒多熱少湯), his symptoms were improved.
향기요법이 통증을 주소증으로 입원한 환자의 수면장애에 미치는 영향

Objectives :The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of aroma therapy on sleep disorder patients with musculoskeletal pain. Methods :The 44 patients were divided into 2 groups: Experimental group(Exp. group) was treated with aroma therapy and control group was treated except aroma therapy. To evaluate the efficiency of aroma therapy, the Korean sleep scale A(Jin-Joo Oh, Mi-Soon Song, Sin-Mi Kim. 1998) and visual analogue scale(VAS) were applied before treatment and after 5 days treatment. Results :1. The Experimental group has improved statistical significance in sleep disorder score as compare to the control group. 2. The improvement of sleep disorder score of Exp.group has difference according to impression. 3. The improvement of sleep disorder has an effect on pain decrease. Conclusions :Aroma therapy has effects of improvement on sleep disorder with musculoskeletal pain.

실리카 나노 필러의 표면 처리 최적화를 통한 고분자 치아수복재의 제조와 기계적 물성

The preparation of novel functional polymeric dental restorative composite (PDRC) was carried out using fumed silica nanofiller. To optimize the surface properties of hydrophilic silica nanofiller having a diameter of 40 nm, its surface was treated with a variety of concentrations of γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(γ-MPS) coupling agent; from 0 to 5, 8, 10, and 20 wt% of the nanofiller. Effect of γ-MPS content on the hydrophobic characteristics of silica nanofiller was investigated using fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and surface contact angle measurement. Mechanical properties of PDRC that was prepared by γ-MPS treated silica nanofiller were also measured. Results of diametral tensile strength and flexural strength measurements showed that optimum concentration of γ-MPS was at 10 wt% of silica nanofiller.
항균특성이 우수한 치과용 고분자수복재의 제조와 기계적 물성

The preparation of antibiotic polymeric dental restorative materials was carried out using inorganic antibiotic agent(Ag/Zr-phosphoric acid, AZPA) and/or chitosan. To improve the mechanical properties of microfilled dental composites, surface of silica filler was treated with γ-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane. Diametral tensile strength, flexural strength, and Knoop hardness of composites were measured. Antibiotic and antibacterial effects were also investigated. The optimum concentration of AZPA was 2∼4 wt% of silica filler used based upon 60 wt% of loading onto 2,2`-Bis-4-(3-methacryloxy-2-hydroxypropoxy) phenyl/Triethyleneglycoldimethacrylate matrix resin. Addition of chitosan to AZPA enhanced antibiotic properties of polymeric dental restorative materials.

생분해성을 가지는 Pullulan/Poly(vinyl alcohol) 블렌드의 상용성 및 물성에 관한 연구

In order to overcome the disposal problem of commodity plastics used in packaging and high costs of biodegradable polymers, environmentally friendly blends of microbially synthesized pullulan and water soluble poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) polymers were prepared and their properties were investigated. Pullulan/PVA blends with various weight ratios were prepared using a solution blending system with water as the solvent. DSC, SEM, FT-IR spectroscopy, UTM, and soil burial composting test were repectively used to investigate the miscibility, thermal properties, mechanical properties, and biodegradability of blends. From these analyses, it was discovered that pullulan/PVA blends showed a unique T_g value that agreed well with the theoretical value calculated from Fox equation. Therefore, it was concluded that pullulan/PVA blends showed a completely miscible system. In addition, with increased pullulan content in the blends, T_m, and T_d values of pullulan/PVA blends decreased, however, the biodegradability and mechanical properties increased dramatically.
