        켑스트럼 기반의 후두암 감별을 위한 채널보상

        Automatic detection of laryngeal diseases by voice is attractive because of its non-intrusive nature. Cepstrum based approach to detect laryngeal cancer shows reliable performance even when the periodicity of voice signals is severely lost, but it has a drawback that it is not robust to channel mismatch due to different microphone characteristics. In this paper, to deal with mismatched training and test microphone conditions, we investigate channel compensation techniques such as Cepstral Mean Subtraction (CMS) and Pole Filtered CMS (PFCMS). According to our experiments, PFCMS yields better performance than CMS. By using PFCMS, we obtained 12% and 40% error reduction over baseline and CMS, respectively.

        다양한 잡음 환경하에서 환경 군집화를 통한 화자 및 환경 동시 적응

        This paper proposes noise-robust fast speaker adaptation method based on the eigenvoice framework in various noisy environments. The proposed method is focused on de-noising and environment clustering. Since the de-noised adaptation DB still has residual noise in itself, environment clustering divides the noisy adaptation data into similar environments by a clustering method using the cepstral mean of non-speech segments as a feature vector. Then each adaptation data in the same cluster is used to build an environment-clustered speaker adapted (SA) model. After selecting multiple environmentally clustered SA models which are similar to test environment, the speaker adaptation based on an appropriate linear combination of clustered SA models is conducted. According to our experiments, we observe that the proposed method provides error rate reduction of $40{\sim}59%$ over baseline with speaker independent model. 본 논문에서는 eigenvoice 방식에 기반하여 다양한 잡음 환경에 강인한 고속 화자 적응 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 잡음 제거 기술과 환경 군집화 방법을 기반으로 한다. 그러나, 잡음 제거 기술을 통해 잡음을 제거한 후에도 여전히 잔여 잡음이 존재하므로 비음성 구간의 켑스트럼 평균을 사용하여 잡음 환경별로 화자 적응 데이터를 분류한 후 각각의 환경별로 환경 모델을 구성한다. 이러한 환경 군집화를 적응데이터에 대해 구성한 후 테스트 음성이 입력되면 군집화된 모델 중에서 인식 데이터와 가장 유사한 복수의 환경별 군집화된 화자 적응 모델을 구한 후 이들의 가중함을 통해 화자 적응을 수행하는 방법이다. 제안된 방법은 적응 및 평가를 통해 화자 독립 모델을 사용한 경우에 비해 $40{\sim}59%$ 인식 오류 감소율을 얻었다.

        Apartment housing developed focus on distributing the number of the housing unit rather than the quality of living. Critical opinions on the deterioration in sense of community, standardized housing typology and deficient open space resulted by those trend have been raised, and consequently there is increasing public interest in the ‘Communal Space’ as a alternative space for resolving those problems mentioned above. The communal space of dwelling unit in Apartment not only have a significant role in intermediating to connect between units, but also intent planning implication as a public open space. Therefore, it can not ignore the importance of communal space design considering the impact on residents’ satisfaction and sustainable community development. Despite the importance of the space, however, it has been disregarded in design processing procedure so that this space has been regarded as an unsafe space within apartment housing which produce unsuitable illuminance and unsafe environment resulting the residents’ unsatisfaction. Thus, this paper will suggest guideline for communal space design through analysis on existing conditions of public housing and residents’ needs which provides ‘inclusive environment design’, ‘safe and pleasant living environment’ and ‘vitalizations of samll group community’.

        미만성 식도경련의 임상 및 식도내압검사소견

        Objectives; The present study was performed to evaluate the clinical and manometric findings of diffuse esophageal spasm. Methods: The clinical and manometric findings of 17 patients with diffuse esophageal spasm who diagnosed by esophageal manometry with solid state catheter were studied from August 1988 to August 1994 in gastrointestinal motility laboratory of Dongsan Hospital. Results: I he incidence of diffuse esophageal spasm was 3.2%(11/537cases). Male to female ratio was 1:3.3. Common chief compliants were dysphagia(8cases), chest pain(7cases), and globus sense (2cases). Most of the patients responded to drug therapy except one case who undertaken pneumatic dilatation. Associated manometric findings were repetitive contraction(6cases), hypertensive lower esophageal sphincter(4cases), high amplitude contraction(2cases), contraction of long duration(1case), retrograde contraction(lcase). Amplitude of simultaneous contractions was significantly lower than peristaltic contractions (35.0±18AmmHg vs 103.8±40.7mmHg). Conclusion: Diffuse esophageal spasm was an uncommon esophageal motility disorder with dysphagia and chest pain and was associated with nonspecific manometric findings.

        Optimal Heat Production Pattern of CHP through Introducing of Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard in South Korea

        열병합발전(Combined Heat and Power, CHP)은 열과 전기를 동시에 생산하여 에너지 효율이 높다. 이러한 CHP의 에너지 절감 편익에 대해 인센티브를 제공하는 제도 중 하나가 APS(Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard)이다. APS는 CHP가 절감한 에너지량을 정량적으로 계산하여 인센티브를 지급하는 제도이다. 한국 정부가 국가 에너지 효율 개선 차원에서 APS 제도를 도입하기 위해서는 APS 제도 도입효과에 대한 정보가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 APS 제도 도입의 효과를 조사하기 위해, 국내 도매 발전시장에 APS제도가 도입된다는 가정 하에 CHP의 열 생산패턴 변화와 이에 따른 연료 절감량 변화 효과를 검토하고자 한다. 이를 위해 국내에서 상업 운전 중인 CHP의 과거 운영실적과 설계자료를 이용하여 CHP 운전모델을 구축하고 이를 바탕으로 APS 도입 전후의 열 생산패턴과 연료 절감량을 계산하여 비교하였다. 그 결과 APS 제도가 도입됨에 따라 분석대상 830MW CHP를 기준으로 열 생산시간이 1년 동안 2009시간에서 423시간으로 단축되고, 연료 절감량 또한 46GWh에서 100GWh로 증가함을 확인할 수 있었다. Combined heat and power (CHP) has a high energy efficiency as it produces heat and electricity at the same time. One of the policies providing incentives for the energy-saving benefits of the CHP system is the alternative energy portfolio standard (APS). The APS is a program that provides incentives for the amount of fuel saved by CHP. The South Korean government needs information to introduce APS to improve national energy efficiency. In order to investigate the effect of the APS introduction, this paper attempts to examine the changes in fuel savings caused by the change in the heat production pattern of the CHP system, under the assumption that the APS is introduced into South Korean wholesale electricity market. To this end, a CHP operation model is constructed based on the past operating performance of the CHP system in South Korea. After heat production patterns before and after the APS introduction are derived, the amount of fuel savings are computed and compared. It was found that the introduction of APS can reduce the heat producing hours of CHP from 2009 to 423 hours and increase fuel savings from 46 GWh to 100 GWh in terms of the single CHP with 830MW capacity.

        독립된 고압성 하부식도괄약근의 임상 및 식도내압 검사소견

        Objectives: Hypertensive lower esophageal sphincter, an uncommon esophageal motility disorder, was frequently associated with the nutcracker esophagus so that it was difficult to know which motility disorder was the cause of the symptom. The present study was performed to evaluate the clinical and manometric findings of isolated hypertensive lower esophageal sphincter. Method: The clinical findings of 14 patients with isolated hypertensive lower esophageal sphincter were studied and manometric findings were compared between 14 patients and 15 normal subjects. Result: 14 cases among 456 cases who undertaken esophageal manometry from August, 1988 to December, 1993 were diagnosed as isolated hypertensive lower esophageal sphincter (3.1%). The average age was 44 years old, ranging from 12 to 66. Male to female ratio was 1:6. Chief complaints of the patients were dysphagia (6 cases), globus sense (3 cases), chest pain (3 cases), and epigastric pain (2 cases). The LES pressure was significantly higher in patients with isolated hypertensive lower esophageal sphincter compared to normal control subjects (49.2±3.0mmHg vs 24.3±7.0mmHg, p<0.001). But there were no significant differences in the nadir pressure (2.4±2.0mmHg vs 1.8±1.5mmHg) and the amplitude of contractions at 3㎝ above LES (110.3±30.5mmHg vs 98.7±35.4mmHg). Conclusion: Esophageal manometric evaluation is necessary considering variable clinical manifestation of the isolated hypertensive lower esophageal sphincter. Long-term follow up studies should be taken to evaluate pathophysiologic mechanism and theraputic effect in large numbers of patients with isolated hypertensive esophageal sphincter.

        수학적 지식의 특성요소에 대한 수학교육전공 대학생의 인식 상황

        Generally mathematics is regarded as a subtle subject to grasp their true meaning. And teacher`s personal conceptions of mathematics influence greatly on the teaching and learning of mathematics. More over often teachers confess their difficulties in explaining the true nature of mathematics. In this paper, applying the theory of epistemology, we tried to search factors that must be counted important when trying to understand the true nature of mathematics. As results, we identified five characteristics of mathematical knowledge such as logical reasoning, abstractive concept, mathematical representation, systematical structure, and axiomatic validation. Next, we tried to investigate math education major students` conception of mathematics using these items. To proceed this research we asked 51 students from three Universities to answer their opinion on ``What do you think is mathematics?``. Analysing their answers in the light of the above five items, we got the following facts. 1. Only 38% of the students regarded mathematics as one of the five items, which can be considered to reveal students`` low concern about the basic nature of mathematics. 2. The status of students` responses to the question were greatly different among the three Universities. This shows that mathematics professors need to lead students to have concern about the true nature of mathematics.
