Consumer Responses to Green Appeal Advertising: The Case of Korean and Canadian Consumers
김연신 한국전략마케팅학회 2013 마케팅논집 Vol.21 No.1
International green appeal advertisers must know whether consumers in different cultures will respond differently to green appeal advertising. This study investigates green appeal advertising effects in Korean and Canadian consumers and explores the effects of individual differences in the relationship between green appeal and advertising effects. The results suggest that green appeal advertising may effectively enhance product attitudes for Korean but not for Canadian consumers. Also gender appears to influence green appeal advertising effects across cultures. However, other individual differences in attempts to moderate green effects show different outcomes depending on the country. This study provides useful implications and insights into the use of green appeals in international advertising campaigns.

This study investigates determinants of green buying behavior. Using structural equation modeling, the effects of collectivism, values and attitudes on ecological purchase and their hierarchical relationships are investigated. Furthermore, a moderated multiple regression is applied to test whether the link between attitude and behavior is enhanced by the degree of perceived consumer effectiveness (PCE). The results suggest that collectivism is important in predicting green purchase. The positive influence of collectivism on consumer greenness flows through selftranscendence values. However, PCE fails to moderate the strength of the relationship between environmental attitudes and green purchase behavior. Implications for public policy and marketing communication efforts are discussed.
Aspirin 및 Ethanol이 유발한 위궤양에 대한 Proglumide의 효과
김연신,이경숙,이정엽,임선영 이화여자대학교 의과대학 1980 梨花醫學誌 Vol.- No.12
Progrumide, D(L)-A-benzamo-N, N-dipropyl glutamic acid is known as a gastrin receptor antagonist. In this experiment, some aspects of proglumide action on drug-induced (Aspirin and alcohol) uleceration in rats are studied. The data reported shows that : 1) Aspirin group revealed no significant effect on pH, Volume, free acid and total acid output of gastric juice, compared with those of control group. But gastric mucosa showed significant gross hemorrhage and ulceration. 2) (Aspirint proglumide) group showed the significant increase in pH of gastric juice and some tendency of reduction I volume, free and total acidity of gastric juice. The gastric mucosa appeared to normal. 3) In Alcohol group, there were no significant changes in pH, volume, free acid and total acid output of gastric juice, gastric mucosa showed significant gross hemorrhage and ulceration. 4) (Alcohol+Proglumide) group showed the decrease in pH, volume and free acidity and slight increase in total acid output of gastric juice without statistical significance. There was significant gross hemorrhage and ulceration in gastric mucosa. In conclusion, aspirin and alcohol produced significant gross ulcerations on gastric mucosa without any significant changes in volume or acidity of gastric juice, and proglumide has an inhibitory effect on the aspirin-induced ulceration but not on the alcohol-induced ulceration.
