결핵을 진단하는 방법 중에서 신속하고 비교적 비용이 적게드는 방법은 객담을 통한 결핵균 도말 검사이다. 결핵균 도말 검사는 슬라이드에 도말한 환자의 객담을 가온 과정을 통해 고착시키고. acid-fast 염색방법을 통해 염색시킨 후 현미경으로 결핵균을 관찰하는 것이다. Acid-fast 염색방법은 크게 hot staining과 cold staining 방법 두 가지가 있으며, 우리나라에서는 염색 결과가 선명한 hot staining 방법인 Ziehl-Neelsen 방법을 주로 이용한다. 그러나, 기존의 결핵균 자동염색기는 가온 기능이 없어 환자의 객담을 슬라이드에 검사자가 고착을 시켜야 하고. 선명도도 낮은 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 검사자의 인력 절감과 검사자 개인의 염색 능력에 따른 염색 정도의 변화를 줄이기 위해 가온이 가능한 결핵균 자동염색기를 개발하였다 개발된 염색기는 객담의 고착에서 염색 그리고 건조가지 전 과정이 자동으로 이루어진다. 염색 시간은 5개의 슬라이드를 고품질로 염색할 경우 21분이 소요되었다. 성능 평가를 위해 총 91개 객담을 대상으로 자동과 수동염색을 시행하여 일치율을 비교해 본 결과 75%로 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다 (P>0.05). The detection of tubercle bacilli (TB) from sputum smear is one of the fast and inexpensive methods for diagnosis of tuberculosis. For this method. sputum smears are usually flexed by heating and stained by acid-fast staining method, and then examined under an optical microscope. Two Procedures are commonly used fur TB staining. One is hot staining and the other is cold staining method. The Ziehl-Neelsen method which is a hot staining method is widely used in Korea because its stained color is more vivid However, the conventional automated stainer has to fix the sputum smear on a slide manually and the stain is not so vivid because it has not heating function. In an effort to save labor and minimize variations in manual staining Procedure. we developed an automated stainer with heating function. The entire staining process is fully automated. from fixation to final washing and drying. With the automated methods, five slides can be flexed and stained in 21 minutes at consistent high quality We compared the concordance rate between the two methods for 91 sputum samples to validate the stain quality of the developed automated stainer. As the results, the concordant rate between the two methods was 95% and there was no significant difference (p>0.05)
성인형 당뇨병환자에서 도플러 심초음파를 이용한 좌심실 이완기 기능평가

성인형 당뇨병 환자에 있어서 당뇨병성 심근증의 조기발견을 위한 기능평가를 위해 간헐파 Doppler 심초음파를 이용하여 당뇨병 환자 30명과 정상대조군 15명에서 좌심실 유입 혈속파형의 각 지표를 계측, 비교하였다. Diabetes mellitus is associated with high mortality from cardiac disease attributed to coronary artery atherosclerosis or systemic hypertension. Several investigators have shown that abnormalities of left ventricular (LV) diastolic function are common even in diabetics without clinical manifestations of congestive heart failure, and that these abnormalities result from microangiopathic process in the heart and from metabolic abnormalities inherent to diabetes mellitus. To determine the diagnostic parameters of the LV diastolic filling defect in a variety of adult·onset diabetes mellitus, we evaluated the LV· inflow velocity pattern in 30 diabetics using pulsed Doppler echocardiography compared with normal 15 subjects. The diabetics were divided into 3 groups according to the number of microangiopathic complications i.e., nephropathy, retinopathy and peripheral neuropathy. (Group I: 10 cases without complication, Group II : 10 cases with 1 or 2 complications, Group III : 10 cases with 3 complications) The LV inflow velocity patterns were recorded from the apical approach. Peak velocity of the rapid filling phase (PFVE), that in the atrial systole (PFVA), E/ A ratio, acceleration time (AT), deceleration tome (DT), acceleration rate (ATR) and deceleration rate (DTR) were measured in the LV inflow patterns. The results were as follows : 1) AT and ATR were no statistical significance of differences among groups. 2) PFVA in control (0.58±0.12m/sec and group I (0.62士0.17m/sec) were significantly decreased (P<0.005, P<0.05) compared to group III (0.75±0.15m/sec). It showed a gradually increased tendency in groups with more microangiopathic complications. Whereas PFVE was significantly reduced in group III compared to the control subjects (0.63±0.18 VS 0.72±0.04m/sec, P<0.05). 3) I / A ratio in control (1.30±0.24) and group I (1.06±0.23) were significantly increased (P<0.001, P<0.005) compared to group III(0.82±0.33). 4) DT showed a statistical significance of differences in group II (192.67±23.4msec) and group III (200.29±29.22msec) compared to the control (152.04±23.19msec, P<0.005, P<0.0001) and group I (160.00±32.42msec, P<0.005). It was prolonged in groups with more microangiopathic complications. 5) DTR was also decreased in group II (270.14±110cm/sec2, P<0.05) and group III(260.18±95cm/sec, P<0.05) compared to the control(320.14±124cm/sec2) and group I(322.20±89cm/sec2). In conclusion, data indicated that indices of LV inflow patterns (PFVE, PFVA, E / A ratio, DT, DTR) were suggested to be useful in identifying abnormal LV diastolic filling properties in adult-onset diabetes mellitus, and a correlation existed between diabetic microangiopathic complications and diastolic filling pattern.

폐포장재의 재활용이 지속적으로 증가할 수 있었던 것은 분리수거의 체계화, 선별의 효율화, 재활용 기술발전이라는 삼박자가 조화를 이룬 결과라 할 수 있겠다. 특히, EPR제도를 통한 지원확대는 재활용의 양적 성장은물론 기술개선 등의 질적 성장에도 큰 효과를 가져 왔다. 포장재 재질별 특성에 맞게 적정 재활용 방법 및 체계가 구축되었다고 할 수 있겠다.
적응 SFLC(Scaled Fourier Linear Combiner)를 이용한 활동 중의 PPG 신호의 잡음 감소

- Blood flow is one of vital signals related to human physiological information. Photoplethysmograph (PPG) has been used to measure indirectly heart rate, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), and so on. Because PPG signal is weak and sensitive to motion artifacts, it is very important to continuously obtain stable PPG signal during free movement. In this study, we applied the scaled Fourier linear combiner (SFLC) using both the adaptive filter and FLC to remove effectively the motion artifacts as well as background noise in the real time without additional signal correlated with motion from a accelerometer. The proposed method would be useful to reduce the movement and background noise which are not synchronized with heart rate.

Although fatigue has been experienced more than once in a lifetime, the definition itself is ambiguous and is determined by various factors. Many researchers have studied objective and quantitative fatigue analysis methods, but standard measurement methods are still not established. In this study, we estimated fatigue using pupil light reflex providing information about the activity of sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system among vital signs. We induced artificially fatigue through arithmetic and running, and subjective fatigue was compared with the questionnaire index at every point in time. As the results, BPD(basal pupil diameter), MCV(Maximum constriction velocity), and ACA(absolute constriction amplitude) showed the possibility of being used as factors reflecting fatigue.
